I liked this video Sarah. I have a diary entry from maybe 4th grade talking about wanting a nose job. And then a full lifetime but a pretty violent self harming eating disorder. The Lord has delivered me from the eating disorder - almost 20 years it lasted. I still struggle sometimes with aging and wrinkles and just vanity things - I’m 44 now and was born again at 41. I feel more comfortable now in my skin than I ever have. Social media can be hard. Even if it’s not conscious you are still subconsciously comparing yourself. I’ve been on an Instagram break for over 3 months and it has been very fruitful and helpful for me. Something practical that has helped me is also putting a picture of myself as a little girl in my mirror. The Lord did huge work in my life healing my inner child. It breaks my heart to think of how cruel I was and the harm I did to that sweet, shy little girl
Sarah, I’m on a journey right now of recovering from a very secular upbringing and purging all of the garbage programming I’ve endured since childhood. You have no idea how much your videos have helped me. I cried watching your testimony because I resonated SO deeply with it. I felt every word. And it broke my heart but also instilled immense hope in my future. Thank you for what you do and for helping women who need to hear this. You truly inspire me and I hope to have a beautiful family like yours one day. God Bless 🙏🏼🤍
Thank you for your honesty and transparency sister! This is so encouraging and helpful to know that I’m not alone in this battle against the temptation of comparison. God bless you sister 🥹❤️
If you're struggling with self-rejeciton please read Henri Nouwen Life of the Beloved. Here is a quote from this book I think might help you: “First of all, you have to keep unmasking the world about you for what it is: manipulative, controlling, power-hungry, and, in the long run, destructive. The world tells you many lies about who you are, and you simply have to be realistic enough to remind yourself of this. Every time you feel hurt, offended, or rejected, you have to dare to say to yourself: 'These feelings, strong as they may be, are not telling me the truth about myself. The truth, even though I cannot feel it right now, is that I am the chosen child of God, precious in God's eyes, called the Beloved from all eternity, and held safe in an everlasting belief.”
Wise words and great advice! I think many men struggle with this as well. One of the things that helps most is candid confession -- like exactly what you said about your own life Sarah. That arms other people with the awareness of their own weakness. Also looking forward and backward generationally/historically helps put things in perspective. Hanging out with older people who are in the twilight of life (nursing home age), and kids who are fairly new to the planet expands one's viewport on humanity -- beyond the cropped and edited "fun & young forever" culture that is most often pushed to the forefront in commercialized society.
Thank you Sarah for taking the time to make this video. I was so happy because this was my question that I commented and it’s such an on time word because it’s something that I have been struggling with a lot more recently. So thank you for helping me and many other women realign with the word of God regarding this topic🩷 God bless you!
Great video! And just in time for the warmer months. I'm still getting used to wearing modest summer clothing. In the past, it felt good to get attention and compliments based on my appearance, but I've been working on renewing my mind! I like how you say, "Would the Holy Spirit say that to you?" "What is the Holy Spirit's definition of beauty?" Great questions to ask ourselves before any lies of the enemy can start to seep in and make us compare ourselves. Thank you for praying over us! Those are super cute bracelets! Have a blessed day! :)
True if u compare yourself with others it’s not healthy to much distractions u will be thinking why did I waste my life this full of regret that’s why we should not compare because it’s one of biggest regrets u can do we don’t know what others do 24 7 only us
Hi Sarah, could you make a video on how to prepare for birth? what useful tips were for you and your husband! and how to involve your husband. thanks for your video, and your honesty and openness! Have a nice day!
Since technology and media became monopols in each country this topic increased and people especially woman got almost selfhaters and blamed for not beeing as covergirls most people suffer from this and nobody is really happy about that
The scripture is not saying you can’t have braided hair … it’s saying don’t let your beauty only come from those things, but let it come from your spirit ..
I hope you don't mind, but, from a spiritual and professional POV, I found this video to be very helpful for people who are struggling with low self-esteem and feelings of unworthiness. I decided to share it in my professional IG account. Thank you for the great video and the content. Dont know who's question was it, but, thank you too for asking about this topic.
Sarah , you’re beautiful inside and outside! 🙏🏽☺️. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image and likeness!

It’s crazy how one of the insecure thoughts that come into a girl’s head is “you’re not tanned enough.” Mine is literally “you’re too dark”
100% I had issues with being too pale :)
@@mhel3986 that’s crazy, I *would have* loved to be pale 😭
the best advice you gave is "be patient with yourself" ❤
