Today I archived 36 caches. The reason why is I need to be a better cache owner and not have park and grabs. You have inspired me to make better quality caches. Thanks
Wow, don't know what to say to that. I'm sure some cachers will be missing those 36 caches. But, pleased I have inspired you. Thanks for the nice comments. I know for me, I'd rather find ONE good cache vs. 20 LPC's . The good caches create the memories. Good hearing from you. Good luck on your builds.
Great to have another WVTim video! Your builds inspired me to become a gadget cache builder and improve the quality of caches in my area. I have been geocaching for just over a year, and I am very proud to have earned 255 favorite points (so far) with my gadget caches. Thanks For The Cache!
Berkeley County remains my favorite place I've ever cached in! Thank you WVTim for your creativity, work and dedication, and to the county for being so supportive! ❤❤❤
When I started making fun caches, it was your videos that helped me get started thinking outside of the box. I have enjoyed watching your videos, thanks for putting them out.
HI, we logged this find on our trip to West Virginia in the beginning of October, we actually tried everything you just went through in this video to get it open, Good job!
So fun! What did you use on the outside for the red herring “numbers”? And the magnets, where do you like to get your super strong ones? Thank you for sharing with us all!!
Simple but genius cache! Love this video! We have already copied one of your cache ideas (using a light sensor) and will possibly try this too. Did you glue the dowels in a predrilled hole?
I buy my magnets from K and J Magnetics. I try to buy strong disc type magnets. They have thousands, something for every need. For this application I buy a rather strong one, something like a D66. Be prepared they are expensive.
Tim, Groundspeak should name you an honorary Lackey. Among all the ambassadors for geocaching, you are Without Peer!
thanks but I'm just an old guy sharing ideas with other cachers.
The man himself is back on TH-cam… yesssss 👏
Greetings to my friend from "down under". Hope you're well.
@@gadgetcaches sure am mate. Now living across from you in NJ
Love the 'Red Herrings' on this one. Great cache.
Love your videos, thanks for sharing

Thanks For The Cache!
Good for you, that is great. Keep up the good work. Those favorite votes are EARNED, so excellent work.
The legend has returned :)
I was with group of 10 that spent at least 30 minutes on this one. One of my favorites!
Thanks for visiting!
Thanks for all your great caches Tim.

Fantastic and simple build, Tim! Thanks for showing it off and encouraging inspiration in others!

Thank you... love hearing my silly videos work. thanks for the encouragement !
What’s up Timm!!! Glad to see you!
I remember that one from last year. Got lucky and opened it quickly and was surprised.
A masterpiece as always!
My favorite door method!
Those cabinet latches are expensive little buggers. I just hit a 50% off sale at a local hardware store. I went a little overboard!

There are no numbers on the outside, geocachers count the dowels. I use K and J Magnetics, see the answer below to Kevin. Very strong one's.
simple but challenging :)
Love the cache, what type and thickness of wood did you use?
I normally just use pine from my local Lowes. 3/4's inch thick, but to make it last for years and years, many times I cover it with fiberglass.
@@gadgetcaches thanks!
LOVE IT !
I literally spit milk through my nose when he popped the door open

YES, exactly. If you are using a 1/4 inch dowel, just drill a 1/4 inch hole, and use wood glue to secure. Good luck with your build.
Once again, well done Tim! Nice and easy. What magnet(s) did you use?
