I was always disappointed that Adon didn’t appear in Street Fighter II. He was such a difficult opponent in the original SF.

@@kamenriderovant9676 he was also in CVS2 he was never in a second mainline game Alpha 3 max is portable game and we all know they play rough I think the Japanese had a PS2 version release but that is clearly so limited most haven't play it
I'd love to see Adon return (even as DLC) just to give a well-earned beatdown to the likes of Luke or Jamie.

The rivalry between Adon and Akuma was a missed opportunity
Adon a villain?! That’s news to me. I always saw him more as an arrogant prick than a villain.
If I recall his ending in Alpha 1 has him rejecting Bison’s offer to join Shadowloo, stating he doesn’t need him or his drugs.
In 3 his ending is Adon defeating Bison then Akuma defeating Bison. Adon then follows Akuma hoping to learn the secret of his power.
Yeh Adon is not a bad guy he just hungrier than sagat.

Can I just say Im happy to see someone give a STREET FIGHTER ONE character huge credit. Most would just write off all SF1 characters as uninteresting and vice versa, when honestly I think the SF1 cast for the most part is underrated.
I've always felt that "Retsu" deserved an appearance in one of the modern iterations of StreetFighter.
@@19zach75 Of all SF1 characters, people seem to think Retsu the best of all of them (at least out of the ones who didnt return) especially since his theme in SF1 is the most popular (or should I say least hated) theme in SF1. Closest thing we'll get to him having an appearance in Modern Street Fighter is him in World Tour mode in SF6.

I preferred his redemption. Watching him realize his strive for revenge was destroying him and finding what he really wanted out of fighting.

I do agree Adon should back to the Street Fighter series and continue his role as villian. If I were to bring him back, I would make the big bad in a new installment. He would find his fighting style's equivalent of Satsui No Hado and gain a new dark transformation. He would create his own criminal organization and lead to kill all the other fighters to prove that Muay Thai is the best martial art ever. To prove it is superior to all other fighting styles.
Adon could maybe have his own gang or "school" in The SF6 Universe..he IS what he wanted to beat as a Kid now

I kind of hope when they add Sagat to 6 they just give him Adon's moveset from 4. The mechanics of 6 kind of dont seem to fit traditional Sagat well, whereas Adon would be perfect. It just seems like Adon is unpopular aesthetically for whatever reason. Just make Sagat do elbows and jagger kicks

Eh, he's more of an anti-hero than a villain to me. Sure, he's arrogant and boastful, yet, Adon never does anything ''evil'' throughout the whole story. That being said, it IS sad that Capcom chose to forget Adon, since Adon had SO much potential.

The character that has existed since 1987 has a hell of lot more depth then a character that's debt game is basically just a year old.
So he's unappreciated by the makers like reptile from MK.
Adon was always the way cooler Muay Thai fighter. Felt less basic, had way sicker moves, and was menacing through and through.
It's cool that Sagat grew up, learned to understand Ryu, let Dan get his "revenge", and became an actual functioning human being.
But Adon is proof you don't need that kind of character development to be a dope Street Fighter character. Dude grew up understanding only one thing: Muay Thai is life. Like many struggling young men in Thailand who gotta fight for theirs, he dedicated himself to the grind. At some point he just straight up BECAME the dedication. He would have been PERFECT for SF6.
I can totally see his actual showdown ending like this, they both hit each other as hard as they can and end up on the ground.
Adon: "Aren't you supposed to kill me or something?"
Akuma: "I would, if I could get up."
Adon: "Well, don't feel too bad. Neither can I."
Akuma: "You've earned my respect, I suppose that's enough."
Adon: "Yeah. I'll tell ya, I was havin' fun."
Akuma: "Me too, honestly."
They use the last of their energy to do a fist bump before passing out.

Ken: "Dude, check this out! Looks like Akuma made a friend."
Ryu: "Good. I feel like he needed one."
Antivillain at best, the best descriptor for him is probably "chaotic neutral"

Adon isn't a villain. He's an asshole and a jerk, but a villain, no. While his motives are selfish, he has actually done anything more immoral than talking trash and being disrespectful to opponents. That's not villainy.
Though I will agree that if they had done more with the character, Adon could have been a great villain. Honestly, though, I would love to see Adon return on a redemption arc. Having at some point actually faced Akuma and getting outclassed, not only does Adon realize his own limits, but he sees the horrors of what the pursuit of power can do to a person. Not wanting to lose himself in that way, he reconnects with Sagat and trains under him anew. Eventually, with the blessings of a now "retired" Sagat Adon takes over the school and becomes the new teacher. With the new tournament, Adon sets off to prove to his mentor, his students, and himself how much he has grown not just in body but in spirit.

It 'could' be viewed that way, if the sequels didn't try to coincide with a plot of it's own.

Nah, to my knowledge it's always been between the first SF and SF2. Even though nowadays you can't tell what's canon anymore.

Adon is a fun character to use. I always associate him with Blanka because they have a similar crouch fierce. Blanka's development has been very disappointing. While I do like Blanka-Chan, I preferred Blanka as a scary monster rather than the goofy childlike version.

Every character before the newcomers of SFV and 6 have way more depth. Really sad that Crapcom doesn't bring them back. I'd take Adon, Fei Long, and Eagle over Manon, Marisa, and Lily any day.

So what makes Adon a villain? He is just an arrogant prick obssesed with Muay Thai who got disilusioned by his master when he lost, got to fight him and got satisfied after confirming his superiority over Sagat (from his point of view) but unlike the villains he doesn't commit crimes and the worst thing he does is to crush his adversaries in the ring.

Street Fighter IV should’ve kept him evil, and start a leadership in an Anti-Shadaloo rebellion, with Adon as his second in command once again.
Sagat was never really a villain, let alone evil! The only reason he even joined Shadaloo in the first place was for revenge against Ryu, who left that nasty scar on his torso. Also, where'd you get the idea of "Anti-Shadoloo", and what makes you think Sagat would willingly have anything to do with it and reunite with Adon?

In Street Fighter II, Sagat had a personality like Adon. He was even shown in official artworks with demented looking expressions.
Where I got the idea from? He betrayed Shadaloo, so I wanted him to fight the organization with Adon, Joe, Mike, Lee, Gen, Birdie, Eagle, Retsu and Geki on his side.
