I agree Coach, about Netflix deal his frustrations... I hope Coach make a longer video about the Pros vs Cons on that topic. His mind on marketing and creating promos is booming.....
I'm so glad Coach is back in wrestling. You want to talk about legendary voices of WWE, hes one of them. Hopefully he makes his way back to WWE and they do right by him, if not, I don't blame him one bit and I'm still going to enjoy his podcast
“I’m like you. How can I help” what a beautiful thing to say in the beginning of the interview. That’s the first thing on his mind he wants to let out. And it’s true brotha you do as well. You were meant to do this pod Chris *bows in Hunter hearst helmsley*
Coach is a great human. When I was at McPherson College he took me to ABC Wichita thanks to a mutual friend, Kristen Boyer. We even shared a meal at a Burger King back in 1997. I couldn't believe it when I saw him in WWE and I so wish I would have kept in touch with him over the years.
If I were running WWE, I'm bringing Coach back and make a WWE/UFC version of Sports Center where he covers highlights of RAW, Smackdown, NXT, Speed & UFC. Take advantage of his ESPN experience.
The Coach is genuine and brilliant human being. A very underrated heel in wrestling. He's experience, knowledge and perspective of the business is refreshing to hear. Much respect and continued success to THE COACH! 💯
“Live in the moment” is so true.. personally I am a hard-core MMA fan and the casuals “” are my friends that watch when there’s ‘big’ fights and if I tell them on a Sunday night, hey this was playing yesterday. Let’s watch this fight. They’ll be like NAH it’s not live. .. he’s def onto something!
Man, I love The Coach being the one of the underrated Heel whether on commentary or any role during his time in WWE. Knowing Mr. McMahon, The Coach wasn't the only one who got screwed over by him
I'm glad that The Coach is back to wrestling. He can share his vast experience and knowledge of the business with the fans, and also the people online that have never been in the business that think they know everything as he mentioned. This will lead to a greater appreciation for the pro wrestling business and we can learn a lot from him
This might sound like a bad opinion but am I the only one who thinks the Coach talks more than he should? He wasn’t in the wrestling business for a long time with off and on periods but tries to make himself relevant in the IWC
@@christophercamacho8074lol dude the IWC is mostly trash anyways what are you talking about. All everyone does is complain and nag about a business in which non of them are actually involved. Don’t knock the coach for actually doing something in the business and worked for the company for 10 years. Calm down son. He makes it pretty clear how he feels about the trash talkers in the net 😂
I couldn’t stand Heel Coach growing up but when he went to ESPN I couldn’t stop rooting for him since. It was like seeing someone graduate lol. I love his insight on the business and hearing all his stories. Could not stop laughing at the Test remark 😂 Coach/CVV is what I live for!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but WWE didn't officially announce Roman Reigns' return at SummerSlam. It was the online discussions on social media that predicted his comeback.
@@Guava11534 WWE never said a word about Roman coming back prior to SummerSlam, but fans had an idea because of where the storyline was going and he was just due to come back.
@@uzi978 yeah tbh I’m not sure so I’ll take your word for it. I just know my brother who doesn’t watch wrestling consistently was telling me Roman was coming as well as other friends
Coach used to be the punch relief 20 years ago and was very enjoyable to watch him get stunned or wrecked, such a great character, but watching Jonathan Coachman, the person, the professional and his career, the work he put into, I can gladly say that he is very underrated, you deserve success and more Coach, hope to see you again in wrestling and more ventures 💪
man what a great great interview you can see that coach is back he looks happy and has great stories and he was real in each one of them. Also he's got a great voice and goes in to details in his stories, Loved it .
Coach is spot on. Kurt Angle is the GOAT. Whether you're talking about character, promos, and in the ring, Kurt is the best. Massively underrated because most don't even give him top five.
Coach has a vibe of the most likable used car salesman. Like I wanna listen to him talk but it always sounds like he wants to sell you something. He definitely belongs on mic in wrestling, the wrestling scene is better when he is in it.
I worked at a undisclosed pizza spot few years ago and had the privilege to give him free “pie”(rocks voice) and enjoyed a beer together 😎❤️ coach is the man
I like those too but I’m cool with the ads on the ring mat. I think it looks cool and legitimizes the sport. It shows that we’re moving forward instead of holding onto the past.
First time I got introduced to the great CVV was when he interviewed CM Punk months after he got fired from WWE in 2014 - the iconic NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER troll reply from Punk when he got asked if there's a chance he'll come back. I need another interview no matter how long. It just needs to be full circle 🎉
Cool interview chris. Coach is the dude!! Wish he has a comeback to WWE someday. And he was right there with international tapings. When I followed WWE from 2003 to 2008 religiously, Raw used to be tapped on Monday and smackdown on Tuesday in India (Friday night in USA) but those were two week late tapes. I remember back when batista powerbombed triple h in 2005. I already saw it on thee WWE website and exactly 12 days later we used to watch It.
Two things about Coach, as a fan back then. 1. I got into WWE in late 1999/early 2000. I initially wondered if he is the coach of the WWE roster, just to find out it was only a nickname. And 2. he had the most random heel turn ever. Who’d ever think that a backstage interviewer that Rock enjoyed making fun of would take liberties within his hands and become a heel that comes out to rap music, starts wearing baggy jerseys and shades while acting like the ladies love him.
Coach had a similar hesitation like Maven the guy running Tap Out Corner reached out to him about making a channel then talking about his WWE career like rating people he interacted and behind the scenes of like his fued with Taker
No hate but a few things here. Micheal Cole has been on smackdown before Joe ever came around. Pat mcafee was established before WWE. WWE helped him grow even more but he would’ve got there either way. Coach had a lot to say that didn’t add up but still enjoyed watching him on wwe back in the day especially the run ins with Dx and others.
42:47 I think he is wrong, here in India even after the Netflix deal, WWE continues to broadcast in a network called Sony network which it was broadcasting from more than 25 years
Sgt slaughter took a stunner one particular time where he dropped neck first onto the shoulder with no bounce, looked brutal. Favourite stunner sell ever
Coach would be great for announcing vudeo game golf. My favorite was when SVP did Tiger Woods Golf in the 2000's. His taunts when you had a poor shot were hilarious, my one friend used to get so mad at the game he legit wanted to drive to Connecticut to fight Scott VanPelt.
💯 understand coaches mentality at the time of that last podcast, I became very disenfranchised with writing and performing music after dipping my toes in the business almost a decade ago, got caught in a song stealing scam in Nashville, band then shortly after broke up for differences of opinion and I lacked the fire to restart… I have started to rebuild a home studio now but fighting those disappointing feelings is a real barrier to get through TBH.
He is confused about RR coming back. 1000 percent did not announce RR coming back at SS, they released a RR appearance at a September Smackdown. Props to Chris for letting him be wrong.
20:20 Michaels cole is definitely rising the bar far as his greatness in his Commentary ….. Michael Cole name to be deserved in Goat conversation as greatest commentators of All time Let’s get to that 🤞🏾‼️💪🏾🗣️✊🏾🤘🏾💯
First Coachman thing I've seen since watching wrestling in the early noughties and holy cow, what an incredible heel, because I hated him then, but made a huge fan of me today!
49:11 It’s not because of change we don’t like it. It’s because it makes it look like a billboard. Seeing the advertising in the ring like we are now is actually a turn off and doesn’t want me to buy those products.

Coach speaking facts you can’t name the 5 greatest in ring performers without naming Kurt Angle.
🥇🙌
When I met him a little over a year ago it made me feel like a kid again for a minute
Bret Hart , Shawn Michaels , Rocc , Kurt Angle , Ric Flair …. Best top five In ring performers Let’s get to that 🤞🏾‼️🙌🏾💪🏾🐐🗣️💯
@@CameronWilliams-gy8bw I wouldn’t put The Rock in top 5 in-ring performers.
Kurt Angle and Shawn Michael's make every single list on anyone's top 5 in ring performers. Those are the 2 undisputed slots.
