You are a dedicated crappie catcher. I’m getting cold watching you.

Love my converted trolling motor as a remote wireless transducer mount. Removed barrel and head and all superfluous parts and it responds to the wireless remote.

Your 102 will be brighter than the 1042. At least my opinion

Lol...Hardcore Crappie fishing!! My new livescope brought me to this video. Got the 93sv uhd. Wishing i atleast got the 1022 head unit now. Also this video showed me i have my lvs 32 mounted incorrectly. I believe it is backwards for starboard side. If thats possible.

I run mine a little different on settings but pretty close. I keep the TVG on low and the gain higher. I don't mind the grain as long as the fish a glowing back at me super bright on the return!

60 degrees and light wind makes Texas fishing a bit more comfortable. Water temp at 56° so spawn about 4° more=3-4 weeks.

Good info. I have been meaning to do something along those lines. Now I do not need to! :-) Very in depth and well explained. Question for you though. Have you ever considered or tried a dedicated mount for your livescope? I started out with it on my trolling motor but our wind here made my spot lock move a lot which meant I would lose track of the fish. I know many people that do it on the trolling motor and like it. I guess it is what you are used to. I also agree on the brightness of the Garmin, I have the 1022 and during the middle of the day in the summer mainly with a south wind, I cannot see a thing. BTW what I would give to have a snow storm. Here in Texas it does not happen often.

Hey what's up! I have the side mount available to me now but have yet to try it up in front of the boat. If possible I put the power poles down so I don't have to use spot lock. If I do use spot lock I use the LS on the back of the boat.

@@3poundCrappiefishing Got ya. I tried it and have some friends that are guides that have it on the trolling motor and it drives me crazy, BUT I do not have power poles. Thanks for responding, was just curious. Have a good one there in the snow belt and send some my way!

I just bought a EchoMap UHD 73 sv mounted transducer on trolling motor when mapping a new lake how do you recommend that I stop the prop on trolling motor from spinning and burning up I'm thinking a bungee cord around shaft and prop any other suggestions?

I noticed that you run birds also. Is there a reason why your not completely Garmin? I have been researching Panoptix a lot lately and was considering upgrading all my electronics. As of now, I’m running Lowrance but I’m having problems with my console unit. If you had a clean slate would you rig your boat up exactly the way your rigged now?

How come you have not done a video yet on the new perspective mode with the Pan optics live scope. Really like to see if you can track your jig and the fish at the same time. Also curious as to the range at which you can see. If you are unsure of what I am talking about look up prospect mode. Basically they flip the Image so now you're looking directly over the top great for locating Debris piles out in front of the boat

Can you install the new Livescope Perspective on your front Garmin and give us your perspective, especially in the shallow spawn? I have the Humminbird 360 and don't see a need to use the Perspective.

@@3poundCrappiefishing Thanks. Was on a crappie tournament on Santee-Cooper this past Fri.-Sat. and am spooking big fish, even with an 18' rod. Believe I will need to cast or flip to those big girls during spawning season so not to spook them in shallow water.

I cannot help but notice that you seem to fish the exact same place on most every video that I have seen.
The "smoke stack" in the background is the key factor in my saying this.
So my question is this, is this a location that holds crappie all year long?
Like a creek channel bend near a point with a flat?
There has to be something about that spot that can hold that many crappie for as hard as it gets fished.
I would sure like to find something similar in my home lake, which is why I asked.
Thanks for taking the time to explain the Livescope settings.
I am in the process of wiring up my two Echomap 93sv Pluses and Garmin Force TM, and cannot wait to try them out.

    • @3poundCrappiefishing
      @3poundCrappiefishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

lol. not the same spot.....but close I guess. On our lake you fish where the wind is blowing too. You are also only fishing a small portion of the lake in the winter. So if the wind is blowing from the North. You typically fish 1 of 4ish points. All of which will give you similar looks at the stack. With that said....... I fish where the fish are. These points are pretty good through the winter and spawn......Once the summer hits its piles. But then again we fish the entire lake then and you won't see these points very much in videos.
