Well hey am sorry am so late but even tho I am a De' Angelo Fan I only heard this trk abt 2 or 3yrs ago while listening a best of De' Angelo mix and I searched and hunted and cudnt find the trk, then abt 1 to 2wks ago the voice hit me and I said yow tht sounds like " Black Thought " bcse wen I first strtd looking my thoughts were D and Common and I still over looked the female voice bcse wen I now searched for D ft Blk thought here it pops up sayn Erykah Badu as well and I was like ...... yow Dummy how cud you miss or over look Erykah's voice but hey this trk is AWESOME from BEGINNING TO END. The Music The Singers The Lyrics yow .... AWESOME.
Quando saiu o Soundtrack do MIB eu comprei o CD. Esta musica vivia no repeat. Um clássico numa reunião de fazer ficar bolado de tão BOM. ROOTS, D'ANGELO E BADU. Tá de saca...
didn't know that... this would have changed the world. Tupac is like NAS in the sense that they had a few good beats but in general, they could've done better with beat selection. Even tho their stuff grows on you and is standing the test of time.
@@PlaAwa you way off on that it was written was a slept on album and hip hop is dead was a hit and as far as Tupac goes he could use a in house band and still have hit records
@@traceyrhyine5842 yeah i slept on both nas and jay-z. i was always into more underground stuff or just distracted by all the good music around at the time. same goes for tupac. good stuff tho. my heroine-addict cousin loved him and i can see how he appealed to anyone down on their luck. all great artists/lyricists. just a bit boring for my tastes at the time. if you grow up on de la soul and then find digable planets etc, the others just seem a bit clone-y and unoriginal but it depends where you're at, at the time. also, for me, i'd just buy things that were on sale so i missed out on a lot of stuff mainly because it didn't fall into my lap. yes they could all do anything and they'd still be hits but that's more to do with their personalities and the peoples' need for idols, role models and mouthpieces.
Damn I'm late just listened to hypnotic and clicked on this scrolling and damn a part two. Been listening to hypnotic since like 96 or something. Dope poetry.
This SONG, Man. Whew. ALWAYS comin' back to THIS TRACK, in particular. It's just THAT GOOD. Not that Men In Black was a BAD movie (Enjoyable, actually.), but what a DIAMOND of a track to pop up unsuspectedly on the M.I.B. soundtrack, of all things! Funny enough, I've checked on both iTunes AND Amazon to buy the song individually, but it's only available if you buy the whole album... 🤔
does anyone know what other movie/tv show plays this song in a scene or ending credit? Im trying to figure out where I heard it once before and it wasn't related MIB
I discovered this song when I was 11 years old on the MIB album, seemingly by accident. Almost 21 years later, I'm still listening to this song.
Dope
Same here
Yes im an alien
