- Who takes the crown in this video for best stripe? Putting all 5 mowers (Cub Cadet ProZ, Gravely Prostance Stand On, Walker T25i, Walker B23i and the Hustler X-One) to the test, we will see who lays the best stripe after double cutting a small section of the back yard. Let me know below who was the best and worst! All mower decks where set to 3.25", the Walker has had it at that height but spacers were added to achieve it. **The Cub Cadet does have a striping kit on it...I first thought it was part of the anti-scrap wheels but nope a striping kit :)

Cub cadet hit the commercial scene swinging. I like the 4 wheels. I think it gives a unique detail to the striping and the wide cut is gorgeous.
I have owned a Gravely 48 prostance for 3 years and completely love it.
The gravely in my opinion was the best. The Cub cadet had an unfair advantage it had a striping kit.

Really all of them look good but if I had to choose I thought the Xone looked best and T23 worst. The cub cadet looks great but as you said the stripe is huge so that’s maybe making the difference. The rest look very similar to me. Wait until leaf season starts and the T25 will be on top.

We are the same here....clients have no idea what stripe even are. They just want a nice looking yard with even cut grass
Judging the first pass,...the Cub laid a solid stripe. It was hard to tell where the tires were. The others had too much differences with stripes from the tires. The second pass caused too many tire tracks for all of them.
Been using Walker mt models for over 20 years, best mowers for size of lawns in my area, hustler would be my next choice if we had larger lawns in my area
I personally like the Hustler X-One, It is also the only mower I have seen that doesn't clog in wet grass! You should put the Hustler Super S Stand on against the Gravely and see which is best :)
My buddy was going to get a Hustler S from a dealer to compare but didnt work out sadly

Cool I own both Walkers! I actually dislike the 3rd wheel the most. I did just purchase a Scag Vride ii that should stripe amazing

Gravely has been the best mowers I’ve ever had. I like them way more than hustlers and Cub cadet. Actually hustlers in my experience have been mediocre which surprised me
definitely the cub, with the hustler as a close second. and i'm not about picking the worst, but i never liked a walker stripe 😂🤷♂️

to me no mower beats a walker .....no other brand is like a walker when it comes time to maintain the blades or clean the underside of the deck
Are those stripes or tire marks? I can only imagine how wavy that lawn looks from the other direction.
You should do the same test in really wet grass to see which one clumps the least.

Cub for me, X-One very close second. This is surprising for me cause i have been hesitant on Cubs but these new modes im actually impressed with. Sucks because i bought a new TORO last year before these new models came out but if they had come out last year i honestly believe i would have bought a CUB. (this is for my own personal yard not for commercial use)

Oh yeah gravely and x one look similar but drive way different. The gravely is choppy and yanks you around where as the hustler is like a Cadillac. My personal opinion 🤷♂️💁♂️
The hustlers hydros are by far the best I have used on a mower...very smooth

Interesting test. However you did not mention if any machines had a factory stripe kit on them? Also, did you set the height on all on flat cement, with a ruler to the blade tips, front to back, and side to side? Also machine weight contributes to tires sinking in yard a little. Cut height when striping plays a lot into results.
Stripping is for reel mowers. Want the best cut as a landscaper? Choose Walker.

I run an older GT 235, 48” that cuts fantastic leaving no wheel marks or lines just beautiful cut, so judging from that I would have to say the cubby comes in where my JD LOOKS NEAT N CLEAN , no wobbly line like walker, n too many marks, lines on the others!

I have this mower and deck. Maybe it's just mine. But it leaves small 2-3 in gaps between the roller and the rear wheels. Not giving a solid stripe. From wheel to wheel. Aside from this the stripes look okay.

Stripes have little to do with brand. I bought generic rubber mat, attached it to the back of my deck - whala! Best ever!

Does that t25i have the reverse rotation deck on it? It was hard to tell in the video. The reverse rotation deck stripes the best but the cut and suction is not as good.

I do like the cub cadet and the Gravely. The Walkers are good stripes but the center wheel just kills it for me. The the x-one was good but that just my opinion. Great video.

I have wright standard a snapper pro rider a scag walk behind I’ve been at company with the walker I personally believe walker if u use it correct.

What was the horsepower of the gravely? I just bought cub cudet pro z 700. Love it! And I’ve owned gravely and John Deere.

If you are basing your judgement with deck size then you should have had a walker H with a 60inch deck.
have you tried the ferris or toros?
I got say the Cub laid some nice solid stripes, with the X one close behind. I think the gravely might have been better with a bigger deck? The walkers cut nice, but the wheels in the back I don’t like. In my area I don’t see any walkers, so I can’t say there the worst out of the pack just not familiar with them.

You didn’t test any of the best 3 striping ZTR’s in the business; Ferris, Toro, and SCAG.

Cub cadet by a clear margin but it's hardly like for like. Should have used one of the smaller less expensive models for a meaningful comparison.

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

I hate striping. I would go out of my way to eliminate it completely from my mower's profile. It used to be a bad thing for a mower to leave its mark. Then came MLB and their striped fields. It never caught on with me.

No matter , once the lawn is irrigated those little wheel tracks disappear. I never see "waggle" tracks on my yards but I run a 42" deck so I'm sure the weighting to the rear is different.
