Compared to what? A scion xB? Lexus GS? Nissan Cube, Juke, kia soul, lfa, GTR? The cars of today are FUGLY! The GTi-R is a really good looking car as well as all of the cars from the early 90's and even the late 80's. I don't think japanese cars ever got that back. If you look back at the 90's most japanese manufacturers (honda especially) were just taking styling cues from german manufacturers. Even now Ford has some of the best looking cars on the market and toyota and honda are all hybrid cars for their markets. One look at the toyota tundra (dodge ram and chevy silverado did a fusion dance) it looks like they just took the stying cues right off the competitors cars and slapped it on theirs.
