- new series alert!! re-ranked is the show where i re-order your top 5 favorite albums. is it kinda dumb? yea, but its also pretty fun! sorry for the super long run time, i'm going to tweak some things before i record episode 2.

Super interesting idea. Top 5 is honestly tough to do, but I'd say: 1) Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed; 2) Jeff Rosenstock - No Dream; 3) Cake - Fashion Nugget; 4) Run the Jewels - Run the Jewels 3; 5) Bad Religion - Stranger Than Fiction. There are already dozens of albums I'm angry aren't on that list (haha); so have fun with it...
The Monitor is exceptional (as is Hellmode and The Black Parade), so that list from Ape Shit was probably closest to my list overall. Love, love, love Weezer's blue album as well. Also fuck Ye for embracing such disgusting bigotry; piece of shit. Haha, also with you terms of King Gizzard; never clicked with me the way it does for other people. Argh; how is Joy As An Act Of Resistance not on my list!!!

TPAB - Kendrick Lamar
Emotion - Carly Rae Jepsen
(Weirdly pop-heavy, but that’s what I grew up on)

My list has a few caveats to it so bear with me lol
1. Daughters - You Won’t Get What You Want (even though I don’t listen to it anymore)
2. Daft Punk - Discovery
3. Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me
4. Midori - Hello Everyone. Nice To Meet You. We Are Midori
5. C418 - Minecraft - Volume Alpha
Volume Alpha is a soundtrack, so if we’re being strict about what counts as an album then I’d replace it with Ants From Up There by BC, NR. If we’re not separating art from artist then I’d also take out the Daughters album, put For Long Tomorrow by toe at 5 and move everything else up.
great list and great explanations. i’m going to leave the list as is because it seems as tho these top 5 are how you really feel! respect on liking an album despite knowing and recognizing how shitty alexis is… i think that’s important for all music enjoyers. i’ll get deeper into my take when i cover your list… thanks!
