just stumbled upon your channel and really enjoying the content. here’s a list for you: Ants From Up There - BC;NR Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic - The Sundays Abbey Road - The Beatles Melophobia - Cage the Elephant To Pimp a Butterfly - Kendrick
nice recommendation by the algorithm, here's my list: 1. Baduizm - Erykah Badu 2. Deadwing - Porcupine Tree 3. Funeral - Arcade Fire 4. California - Mr. Bungle 5. Pescado Rabioso - Artaud
This popped up in my recommended randomly but I'll be sure to follow your channel, very fun stuff! Here's my current top five :) 1. These Arms Are Snakes - Easter 2. Raein - Ogni nuovo inizio 3. Converge - Jane Doe 4. The Blood Brothers - Burn Piano Island Burn 5. The Fall of Troy - Doppelganger Yeah its pretty obvious I'm a fan of Post-Hardcore haha
Since Jeff Rosenstock (rightfully) showed up here a few times as well I thought I'd mention that the first third of Worry. is PHENOMENAL, and among his best work ever, but after that it's way more hit and miss. For me both Hellmode and No Dream are more consistent throughout so I prefer them as albums.
that's very fair. i think jeff's catalog is so much of the same while also being vastly diverse enough that everyone can have their own favorites without there ever truly being a "definitive" best album. though, i relistened to some BTMI last night for an upcoming reranked and that stuff hits too!
Love the idea for this series! Keep up the good content. Here’s my list. 1.) Black On Both Sides - Mos Def 2.) Acabou Chorare - Novos Bainanos 3.) Helplessness Blues - Fleet Foxes 4.) RAM - Paul & Linda McCartney 5.) Our Mother The Mountain - Townes Van Zandt
Haha, thanks man; really appreciate your thoughts! I'm actually stoked we can have such different tastes and still find so much common ground in music for general discussion. I think a lot of my tops (probably like most folks) are mostly about 'time and place' where I got into them and both Cake and Bad Region were high school favorites for me, so they'll never be out of my all time favorites. Still loving this feature. Also, I want to STRONGLY recommend/request Protomartyr for a For You're Interested In. I've been somewhat luke warm on their studio output but saw them open for IDLES and they SLAYED!!!!
of course!! i mean it, you always have the best comments so thank you so much for that. and yea i think that’s the beauty of this show! just because we may have a difference of opinion on these records doesn’t mean our tastes aren’t still compatible, and unfortunately i think there’s a large chunk of people on the internet who forget about that (or dismiss it completely). funny enough, i have a word document with a bunch of bands that i’ve thought to cover over the years and protomartyr is one of them! i’ll have to go back to their catalog cause it’s been a little while. thanks for the rec!
My top 5 fav albums: 1. Earl- Some Rap Songs 2. Bob Marley- Exodus 3. Deftones- Around the Fur 4. Pink Siifu- Leather Blvd. 5. Liv.e- Couldn’t Wait to Tell You

1. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane over the Sea 2. Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica 3. The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow 4. Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living all over me 5. Daniel Romano - Modern Pressure
Here’s my list: 1.Lift your skinny fists like antennas to heaven - Godspeed you! Black Emperor 2. Grace - Jeff Buckley 3. In Rainbows - Radiohead 4. Animals - Pink Floyd 5. Led Zeppelin (self titled) - Led Zeppelin
You should put your top 5 at the beginning or end of the video for a frame of reference, and then let us rank them in the comments so you/we could participate in the re-rankings too !
Okay, also, if you want to talk about an extremely excellent record that I doubt I will ever listen to again because it's just GUTTING check out Hospice by The Antlers. Ugh; I'm feeling sad just thinking about it... Best Ween album is La Cucaracha. Object is the song I am the most uncomfortable loving by anyone ever... YT ate my comment last week re: Ye, but yes; that dude is the worst. Can't listen to his music any longer (even though I once thought MBDTF was a masterpiece).
oh shit i think i listened to that antlers record years ago but it never clicked. i might need to revisit it next time im feeling down in the dumps. i fear my ween discog relisten is coming closer than id like... but so be it! and i still like so much of ye's music, but i seriously don't think ive listened to him in years
