It crossed my mind how Magnificent Century, Turkish series that tells the story about Suleiman Magnificent, actually based on deep structure formula, let's call it " Cinderella meets Dynasty soap opera". Hurem, just like Cinderella, is a hero mediator, a trickster, someone who brings different social realities together: poor peasant and slave who became the most powerful female sultan thanks to the love of one poweeful man, who is neither good nor bad and is similar to ploting Alexis. And not to mention Suleiman's parallel to powerful Blake Carrington.
@@masoodraja yes. Mastrplots or archetype story that are often part of religious frames. Not always, but many, if not the most are incorporated into it.
Thanks for explaining Fabula. The examples of memoir writing, Robinson Crusoe, and Cinderella clarify the concept of Fabula really well.
Thank you.
Thanks a lot for these very informative lectures.
You are welcome.
I really enjoyed your explanation in this series. Thank you. I have a question...does Fabula mean the main theme/ themes of the story?
Thank you. If you watch the whole series, I think I explain it. But mostly it’s the raw materials that form the story.
thanks alot sir
You are welcome.
What are the basic principles of narratology?
Sorry, I don’t try to figure out basic principles of theory. I think reading and understanding it a better way.

Yes, there are quite a few such large narrative myths all over the world. Most religions also work through such narratives.

Thank you so much. The example of Barthes' mythical sign really explain how sign (or words in poetry) become signified.
Glad to know that I was able to further clarify the concepts. Thank you.
