@@pegleg2959 unfortunately I think he is still an "illegal" distiller. You may be able to if you know a person that knows a person that knows a person otherwise you'd probably have to make a trip and hope to run into someone that knows him. Yes I did say "illegal" simply since the IRS doesn't get a cut so he's a bad bad felon 😒. Gotta love uncle sam
People would tell you it’s not safe to not have a license but clearly some of these people are disadvantaged by not being allowed to produce or sell alcohol freely as they please legally.
@@Triqkshot true and not true. These guys obviously care about their product but don’t ever confuse yourself because they make this shine for money as well. Nothing wrong with that at all. They make their shine and they get paid. Quality work
I don't drink much, but Richard makes me want to try all his liquors. The man is so knowledgable and inventive, always taking in what he's constantly learning and expanding on.
I just sat and binged watched these two for 4 hours straight, I ended up grabbing a bottle of whiskey and am very very drun....happy right now. Very enjoyable watch glad youtube suggested this!
I don’t comment very often, but holy shit I’ve been binge watching Richard since last night, I can’t get enough of this man’s content. It’s so interesting to watch a connoisseur like Richard pushing an illegal product using such old fashioned methods. This isn’t a product made by advanced technology on a production line. This is a product made by blood, sweat, tears, and experience. Nothing special except the originality of the crafter, and Richard has that in spades.
I would literally drop everything in my life move my family down south and go work for these two if you all ever see these comments you have a hard-working dedicated employee looking for some good work
This is so good. I don't even drink alcohol, but I love this. How did you know I would love this, TH-cam? I've been binging these videos all day since you first recommended them! HOW?!
I have so much respect for Richard. That man is a true genius, but he’s not gimmicky. The creations he comes up with are always so unique, classy, and well done. No gimmicks. Just truly honest to god quality products.
Lmfao I was about to make this comment. There is another video of a moonshiner tasting the liquor and he's like "Oh YEAH that's good" as he damn near has a seizure while trying to swallow it lol.
That houseboat stays tied up and even it is does move about a houseboat does rock like a traditional v bow vessel that goes out everyday or stays in choppy/rough waters.
As a fellow lover of the alcohol industry, use older barrels to age spirits. New barrels give a lot of oak flavours than the used barrels. Ideally 4/5th fill should be perfect to balance that desired fruit aromas and marry with the oak for a matured spirit with a more subtle oak extraction.
You don’t think they know? Lol Richard is one of the best most creative moonshiners there is . Some random guy tryna talk about how to do moonshine better than Richard is just out of there tree. And guys like you always think they know something more than the ppl who are actually doing the work.
I think we can all agree that everyone who makes liquor on this show smart. @5:00 the things Hes saying Id here a scientist say like shes guys know what they are talking about. RESPECT!!!
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone on this show create so many new varieties of liquor. He should have his own tv show
I was also wondering if you can buy his liquor online. Anyone know if that's possible?
Or his own liquor brand
Richard claims others teach him but he seems to be a low key master distiller.
@@jeffrichards1537 that’s what he is . He gets respect from some of the legends i see

Lol

That would mean the companies actually care about their product rather than what it brings them.

Just got hip to this show about 2 months ago.🔥 Fantastic I love the process and all of the facts and stories that go into making moonshine.
He always comes up with the most unique things to make his liquor.
This is free enterprise at its finest. Hard working men (or women) creating a fine product. Boom.
More of Richard please

Why is sea aging faster?
The movement makes the liquor make more "contact" with the wood compared to just letting it rest.
