Doing the legendary campaign solo was honestly so sick. The tuning of the levels felt perfect. I didn't need any paraversal hauls or stopping to farm blues, but I was right on pace. Awesome.
Definitely the most difficult thing I've done solo, but the pacing was perfect. Most issues I had were with my own strategies. There were a few enemy placements I thought were questionable (like a Knight guardian sniping me with a shield) but it was very enjoyable overall. Best campaign yet, and it isn't close.

Solo legendary campaign complete. One of the best Destiny experiences I’ve ever had. That reveal at the end just has me hyped for so much more Destiny.
I believe that the "You have no pieces left to place" line and the "The game is over" line referred to the game between the Gardener and Winnower that began before time. This is the beginning of the end for Destiny's universe. (Kinda felt like the Winnower was threatening the Gardener)
Bungie has already confirmed that there will be more to Destiny following Lightfall and Final Shape which is presumably the conclusion of the Light vs Darkness saga.
I feel that the greatest thing about the Veil/Witness reveal in the final cutscene is simply how uncanny they look. They're a massive being that move in a very sinister and methodical manner, with body anatomy and facial features somewhat a resemblance of humans, but that stare with those giant pupils.. And how it looks as if the souls of dead beings pour from out of their head... Incredibly disturbing, yet somehow so entrancing to look at, to try to understand. Either way, I'm excited as fuck for how Lightfall and The Final Shape are gonna play out.
The sheer horror in Maras eyes when she is about to say the Witness is genuinely so well portrayed here, and the seemingly frantic nature that she has to do ANYTHING to prevent what seems to be, potentially, universe scale destruction. Bra-fucking-o bungie. This is one of the greatest DLCs in years
It does a lot more to humanize Mara than any other moment in lore or dialogue, she's spent an eternity stockpiling power and stealing it from others, then when she came face to face with the greatest power in the universe she was as an insect is to a boot. That fear is now consuming her and she's willing to do anything to gain the upper hand even if it means discarding the last shred of her humanity for a chance at survival.

Poor Savathun, she just wanted to survive and keep the Traveler safe. And the Traveler wanted to choose the Hive back when, but she was tricked. It's honestly sad. Both the Fallen, and the Hive fell into Dark by tricks.
I think the Winnower's design is a great take on a being of cosmic horror. The androgynous frame, the calm and ambiguous voice, and those unnaturally large eyes make it super uncanny. A totally different kind of terrifying than, say, The Man In The Wall's reveal from Warframe (which is also amazingly terrifying). With all that said, I can't deny that the first thing I thought of on the face reveal was the Megamind "No Bitches?" meme.
He is not Winower, the winnower doesnt has a Physical form, winnower its the Darkness itself. It is The Witness, someone who command the Piramids, the Army of Winnower.
I played it with my buddy, and we were screaming "NO BITCHES?" when we saw the witness. If the no bitches meme was poppin like a year ago, we probably wouldn't have, but i think i like it more because of it hahah
That was The Witness, the Voice in the Darkness, The Entity. I wouldn't start saying The Veil is really a thing yet until it's confirmed in game. Also when Mara first said The Witness and stopped, I think she stopped because she SENSED The Witness making a move finally, and that's scary.
I honestly love the design of the Winnower. I thought it looked really wacky at first, but then I thought about it again and realized it's the only thing in the franchise that doesn't look super realistic and natural, and it shouldn't. It straight up emerged from a wall of fluid and composed itself out of nothing, it should look plastic and fake, it's not a natural entity in the eyes of humans.
That’s not the Winnower. Savathun says that she’s a child of the Darkness, so the Witness must be some sort of disciple or physical manifestation of the Winnower.
Honestly I love the witness design he gives off these creepy disturbing skein vibes I mean he literally appeared out of no where he shouldn’t look 100% realistic. Also I can’t wait to learn more about him and hopefully we see savathun more very good character.

They also have the lower part of their face covered, and their blue opposed to white like the witness. It kinda also gives me Prometheus vibes.
Bungie really nailed the difficulty on the Legendary campaign. Not insurmountable, but still a real challenge if you solo it. There were a couple times where I almost LFG’d a fireteam but I stuck it out and managed to beat it Wednesday morning. I just wish they would have had an emblem for solo legendary

that's what the darkness says in unveiling, it wants a specific race to be the last surviving one in the universe so it can be proved right but i'm willing to bet that we're going to have to get rid of both to make our own destiny
I’ve seen a lot of people very mixed on The Witness’s design. Overall I think if you were expecting something really cool and badass and evil looking, you’ve completely missed the point that Bungie is trying to make with the darkness. I think it’s a perfect design for what it’s supposed to be, which is an all powerful mysterious entity. You can laugh at all you want, well until it comes to Sol and drop kicks the traveler out of existence. Also a lot of people are confused about whether The Witness is the entity or just a servant. The post campaign exotic quest with Mara actually clears this up when she says The Witness is the voice in the darkness aka The Entity controlling the pyramids. In the campaign Savathun also says it’s a being with a 1000 names, so the implication is The Witness is The Entity, The voice behind the darkness, and The Winnower, and I’m sure it has plenty of other names. Edit 2: I just looked and now I see that The Witness actually looks heavily inspired by Pinhead from Hellraiser, which makes total sense considering how he acts.
The Witness is not the Winnower. The Winnower is the embodiement of the darkness. We know the darkness is 100% neutral and has no agenda, whereas pyramids, and by extension the Witness, does. The winnower is basically the leader of the pyramids, but those are not the actual Darkness. Eitherways, I'm excited to see the end of the light/dark saga and see the real entities behind all of this once and for all, if they actually exist at all in our physical realm.

really happy with the campaign and it's the best destiny campaign we have had. While I think Oryx is cooler, I definitely like Savuthun more as a character. She's probably one of the most complex. Kinda sad to see her die but hopefully we see her soon (I'm cheering for Immaru to rez her ASAP). I also think we made a huge oopsies killing her
I just want to share a personal theory. (Spoilers) At the end, when we meet Mara in a cut scene with Savathuns worm, Mara turns away from us abruptly as if something/someone spoke to her. I 100% think that Mara has another Ahamkara. A. We see an Ahamkara egg in her quarters last season. B. She's been missing for the entire campaign until this point. C. Ahamkara are known to whisper to people. I definitely think she secretly has an Ahamkara.
I think it's her hearing the mind of The Witness. If Mara is a telepath she may have unintentionally heard that The Witness is about to come back to finish of the Sol system

Do any of ya'll have an idea how hard was to avoid this channel before finishing the campaign??!!!! Lol Firat thing first. Legendary mode campaign is a masterpiece!! The progression and difficulty solo was perfect. Frustrating enough that it gave you pause and figure out a way to the next checkpoint... but more importantly, slow enough so I could enjoy the story. I didnt blast through it and not digest the story being told. Perfection boyz!! Loved it 👍👍
16:23 seeing this scene would have been easier to keep her alive and have savathun as an ally. savathun using the powers of light along with the guardians to face this new enemy would be a good help.

She stayed alive for a solid 5 seconds with no hp and did the death animation again.
I think Mara has been tainted. She is hearing the Voice in the dark and wants to know how the witness also failed to prevent it. I think she is gonna be a bad guy and it will break my heart. R.I.P for my future awoken wife.
imo, i think what's happening is that she's hearing the entity intentionally for the sake of learning and preparation, for the sole purpose of protecting the awoken and humanity, but is putting herself at too great of a risk and might not be able to handle it, despite all the power she has
This was such a good campaign, the best Destiny has had to date. Gave me Halo vibes with certain parts and I loved every second of it. I recorded some thoughts on OBS the night before and had a lot of predictions and so far most are playing out. My wife always tells me to post or record things that I predict since I have had these types of hunches ever since D1. Like "I bet they will bring VoG back with new cosmetics and if they do, I bet they will bring Icebreaker back." And they did in D1. I am not only hopeful for Destiny's future, but I am very excited for it as well. It's only gonna get better and better.

Completing this campaign on legendary was beyond epic while sleepless with friends. What a show! Kudos Bungie! ♥️
really happy with the campaign and it's the best destiny campaign we have had. While I think Oryx is cooler, I definitely like Savuthun more as a character. She's probably one of the most complex. Kinda sad to see her die but hopefully we see her soon (I'm cheering for Immaru to rez her ASAP). I also think we made a huge oopsies killing her
I think the traveler saved her ghost and it will res her to help us against the veil.
@@Ronnie-mx1wu That's a possibility, however, bungie doesn't just put an ahamkara egg in Mara's chamber for no reason.
15:29 wait a damn sec! Are these possible story/raid bosses we are going to fight in the future? One of them looked like Calus!!!? 15:42 on the left side looks like Calus to me
His guardian looked so stupid pointing a bow at savathun like that 😂
Calling it now. The Witness is the Speaker
Reminder. Ikora sank half of old Chicago with her nova bomb. She's literally a floating nuke strike
You guys are sick. Wish I could be that good.
Also you can see the new raid weapon patterns at the relic in the enclave!
Second play through on legendary I went solo on my hunter with the glance I was invisible almost the whole time. Best destiny campaign yet
Bro fucking thanos is coming
Do any of ya'll have an idea how hard was to avoid this channel before finishing the campaign??!!!! Lol
Firat thing first.
Loved it 👍👍
Yeah savathuns coming back
The amount of ads when in a fireteam is crazy but fun her ghost as gone to get oryx
The raid is going to be absolutely insane!
Please call it by its full name. Balls Deepsight.
I did this campaign solo and it made me rage a few times…..none more than the final boss 😡 great campaign though
the darkness is the anti-spiral
I beat Legendary Campaign solo….Thundercrash all the way through.
Built different.
Proud to say I did the whole thing legendary solo in less than 10 hours
It's not particularly difficult
@@MrInsiipid true, it still has it’s annoying moments though. Mainly the 20 minute long boss fights
The best ending, my favorite campaign by far
16:23 seeing this scene would have been easier to keep her alive and have savathun as an ally.
savathun using the powers of light along with the guardians to face this new enemy would be a good help.
Since her ghost is alive she'll most likely be back later down the story either lightfall or final shape
everyone's mad at the traveler but i'm willing to bet that's what she wanted when she gave savathicc the light
I did this fight with my friends and at the end when we finally defeated her she bugged out and rose again and scared us shitless because we were right on top of her tbagging😂😭 never have I ever in my time of destiny nope the fuck out so fast💀 my friend killed himself trying to shoot her again with gjallarhorn.
I almost watched this then backed out.... Coming back once I complete the campaign and thanks Cross for the constant upbeat too tier content brother (I'll forgive your sins as a Titain main 🤦🏻♂️😂)
Just finished Soloing the Legendary Campaign last night. Killing her at the end solo took me almost 2 hrs. But, was so satisfying when I finally did it and she lay there dead...lol
Goddamn mara is the new witch queen
Solo legendary was a blast, not too easy, not too mind breaking
soloing the last mission on legendary took me over an hour and a half. I found myself camping and waiting for golden guns on the actual final fight
Our guardian sound so much like masterchief
Bungie actually hit it out of the park with this one!
Now only Xivu Arath is all that remains
She’s not dead though? Her ghost is still alive
