Going back to his earliest days in the group, you can see Bruce fitting in parts of a show to clap (Do It Again Paris 69, It’s About Time Central Park 71) and here’s a great example- yet he’s still playing most of the time. Might i add, a relatively integral part of the band- instrumentally speaking. I genuinely wonder when he said to himself “fuck it I’m just gonna clap” and what lead him there... really started in the 90’s, and by the time it was the Mike & Bruce Band there was noooo looking back- especially diring C50, Jesus Christ, man’s hands must’ve been sore by the end of that tour. When I’ve seen them recently he actually played more and clapped less, I’m assuming it exerts less physical energy at his age. Then again, Bruce is the god damn energizer bunny
Watching this for the BBs, obviously, but there at the end 4:31 is OJ, his then alive wife Nicole, and also the mother of the would-rather-not mention K daughters. Made me feel a bit bleugh.
Everyone should read about The Beach Boys involvement in the Manson murders the the book CHOAS. I see the music in a whole different way after I read it especially the “golden penetrators” part lol. Fucking banging song either way tho.
@@bls8959 They were unwillingly involved. Dennis introduced Manson to Terry Melcher, who refused to give him a record deal. Later, Manson had the then-current residents of Melcher's former house killed.

Bruce frequently switching instruments, versatile musician
That was painful, confusing and laborious to read through. My God, PLEASE, take an English writing class.

"classic bruce clapping" oh my god that is great XD
He's like a starving Seal.
I don’t care how many live versions of Good Vibrations I’ve heard “classic Bruce clapping” is the best click bate for any Beach Boys fan
Very awesome performance
Elora, your channel is great!!!
Who’s here watching in 2024 during the 2024 Olympics?
2:46 here we have 16 solid seconds of Bruce clapping!
The sad part is Carl is right there with him 😂
2:46 Bruce the cool one claps

It’s really strange how 9 years and 11 months later their paths would intersect in a very dark way
I like Carl's vocal variation at 03:10.
Mike Love has always looked 40
Carl looks much older than he did in '83. Must've been Dennis's death

Pretty poor choice of words....yes they knew Manson but we're definitely not involved in the murders

@@bls8959 yeah involvement is definitely not accurate.
