Yes the Captain Stacy being referred to is Amazing Spider-Man's Captain Stacy or Earth-616(A) in canon event ASM-90. 1:04:22 Ben Riley is actually a Clone of Peter Parker introduced in the original Clone Saga from the 1970s. Pretty much Gwen Stacy showed up out of nowhere to the shock of Peter as this wasn't long after her Death in 1973's The Death of Gwen Stacy. It was later revealed that a villain known as the Jackal (Miles Warren) cloned Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker who he blamed for the death of Gwen. He was one of Gwen's tutors who had a very odd romantic view of Gwen this being one of the reasons why he cloned her. The jackal then kidnaps Ned Leeds and Spider-Man hunts the Jackal to his lab where he comes face to face with another Spider-Man. The lab is destroyed and the Clone of Peter (Ben Riley) is assumed to be killed in the lab explosion. decades later we get the new Clone Saga in the 1990s that re-introduced that same clone that was assumed dead. Its a long and overly complex storyline but summed up its revealed that the Clone survived and went on to live his own life for a while taking up the name name Ben Riley, Ben after Uncle Ben and Riley after Aunt May's Maiden name. Then our Peter is actually tricked into believing that he was the Clone by the Jackal this whole time so we the reader have been following the Clone of Peter Parker since the original Clone Saga, this naturally pissed off so many Spider-Man fans. Peter (Thinking he was the Clone) left New York with his wife Mary Jane, leaving Ben (Who we the reader thought was the original Peter) to pick up the mantle of Spider-Man. But it was revealed that this was not so Peter took up the mantle of Spider-Man again while Ben became The Scarlet Spider in 1994 rocking his classic outfit with the blue hoodie over a really cool red Spider-Man outfit. Ben also dyed his hair blonde as well as someone recognized him as Peter. So when people think of Blonde Spider-Man, Ben comes to mind. I always had the thought of Miles Spider-Man being the Clone as he was Blonde but if you look through his intro you can see a young Peter Parker with blonde hair so guessing he was always blonde. These stories all took place on Earth-616 which is the main Marvel Universe so Ben Riley is not some alternate timeline character he exists in the main Marvel comics. I should also point out that Ben Riley in this movie is a Variant of his Earth-616 counterpart. The Ben Riley we see in this film is from Earth-94 a fun nod to Web of Spider-Man Vol 1 118 from 1994 the first appearance of The Scarlet Spider. Some Ben Riley fans were a little upset at how over the top he was in this film on his dark past but he's a Variant and not the actual Ben from the comics so it's not a big deal. His art style though is amazing very 90s Spider-Man.
There’s a great bit of concept art where all the other various clones from over the years (even some from the Ultimate universe) are all hanging out and they hate Ben. 😂
So if the blond Peter is dead and Ben Riley is in this movie then explain the ultimate comics where ultimate Peter (brown hair) is still alive (and not some clone)
Small correction, Donald Glover is not from the Amazing Spider-Man movies (Andrew Garfield's movies), he's from the MCU, from Spider-Man Homecoming. Love your reactions. You really caught the universe 42 switcharoo so damn quick.

Nope, Childish Gambino was not in Amazing Spider Man with Andrew Garfield. Gambino was in the MCU, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Homecoming. The water color effects for Gwen's universe is phenomenal. The constant transition of colors is to reflect emotions. You can see what her dad and Gwen are feeling with each sentence. Then it goes mosaic when her dad comes to the realization of what was important. This movie is really beautiful. Smoke a bit of weed and vibe with this one. Also Ben Reilly is from the disastrous Clone Saga in the comics. Ben Reilly discovers hes a clone of Peter Parker and it was an era edgy comics.
Sam the “Uncle Ben” Spider-Man as you say is actually Peter Parker’s original clone from the 90s. A villain named the Jackal cloned Peter to basically confuse him during their “last” fight. They both went through this existential, identity crisis thing cuz they couldn’t figure out who was actually the original (Peter was the Original btw) and sadly Ben sacrificed his life to save Peter. That Version of Ben in the movie is from a Universe in where he never died saving Peter. (His full name is Ben Reilly)
One thing I never see ANYONE talk about is that Rio in earth 42 had green eyes, while our Rio (1610) has brown eyes. I noticed it the first time I saw this in theaters instantly, so I knew something was up. (I saw it 6 times in theaters lol)
Miles Morales that we know is from Earth-1610 as we can see in the movie itself being shown 14:08 and is mentioned a few other times throughout the movie. Miguel O'Hara is a Spiderman from Earth-2099, in this universe he isn't bitten by a spider, but instead was created in a lab experiment type situation by himself to recreate Spiderman, basically imagine Captain America Super Serum type example. He is still an actual Spiderman, and is an equal to or possibly STRONGER than the original true Ultimate Spiderman of Earth-616 (Peter Parker is originally from the Earth-616 universe, which is the mainstream Marvel universe from the comics. However, seeing glaring differences between the comics Earth-616 and the Spider-Verse Earth-616, Peter B. Parker's universe is considered Earth-616B. The same actually goes for Miles Morales). Miguel is basically half human half spider because he literally fused his DNA with one, which is why he has fangs and has predatory like attributes since spiders are predators, it just makes him look vampire-ish, what he is drinking is likely a booster or drug to help him with that half side of him to stay in control I guess. It still wouldn't be strange to see a Vampire Spiderman since... well we literally saw a cat, horse and a dinosaur version of Spiderman after all, that's not even mentioning the weirdest ones that appeared. Another thing to mention is that question that was asked at 1:27:50. To answer that question you actually have to pay close attention to the movie in certain specific scenes where they show for example Spot revealing how he became Spot by bringing the Earth-42 spider to Earth-1610, you see the Earth-42 Miles Morales sitting while the spider was approaching him and another one is when Miguel O'Hara is showing all the connected Spider-Verses, which in one of the scenes it shows the Earth-42 spider walking towards Earth-42 Miles Morales with his braids (as a clear indicator/differentiation of which is which again), and than suddenly it gets teleported/warped into Miles Morales Earth-1610. So this spider was exclusively suppose to bite Miles Morales no matter what, but it was originally suppose to be Miles Morales from Earth-42 of course. This could also means that Earth-1610 Miles Morales was actually suppose to be what Earth-42 Miles Morales ended up being, The Prowler, as the "Canon Events" would still happen where Miles Morales father would die. (Miles uncle wouldn't die as Miles and uncle Aaron would not meet each other as The Prowler and Spiderman like in "Spiderman Into the Spiderverse", which got him killed for showing mercy to his nephew as Spiderman, and not killing him in front of Kingpin who demanded it) So basically they swapped with what was suppose to happen with each other. Earth-42 was suppose to be the actual Miles Morales Spiderman, and Earth-1610 Miles Morales was suppose to end up being The Prowler.
40:39 he caused it. He created the portal that brought the spider that bit Miles into his dimension. He didn't have to work for Alchemax, he wasn't under duress, he chose to, placing him in the collider room when it exploded. Everything that happened to him was a result of his own choices.
OH MY GAWD I just caught that. People were saying Spider Byte was helping him get to his universe but she didn’t she knew that wasn’t his universe. That’s crazy.
I agree! She wouldn't know what verse he was from. There is no evidence of that - although 'main' characters might know his universe number like Miguel. In another reaction I watched they misunderstood the Yes/No prompt. In every situation a yes/no prompt is a Go or No-Go decision. She took a 3rd choice and didn't press either button!
Little tidbits on some of the Spidermen: Ben Riley/Scarlet Spider is a clone of Peter from the main universe. Miguel is part spider cause he made himself into a Spiderman, hence why he needs to inject himself every so often. He's also from the year 2099 and is part of the main comics universe, too. And Gwens universe looking the way it does is actually how they drew it in the comics.
To your point about witnesses to Peter's death in Gwen's universe: People at the party would have seen the Lizard attack, without knowing who the Lizard was. (We've seen Peter is good at keeping a secret identity in many universes...) Most people at the party would scatter (despite what's shown at the museum.) Few, if any, would have still been there to see exactly what happened and that Peter started it with Spiderwoman protecting the party. Anyone coming in as the fight ended could have easily gotten the wrong picture by seen Gwen and dead Peter... So her life is quite messed up by that.
1:04:03 - That's Ben Reily, who's from a very...interesting... time in Spider-Man history, specifically the 90s. He's a clone of the original Peter Park and everything about him is dark and edgy. But it's also a time when the art style was like "Draw every muscle you can think of and then add a few more that don't exist for good measure." He's in there mostly for jokes.
In the current games Peter and Miles are BOTH alive and are both spiderman living simultaneously in the same world. Peter is Miles mentor. Spiderman PS4 (Peter is spiderman and Miles gets bitten) Spiderman: Miles Morales (Miles and Peter are spiderman but Peter goes on vacation leaving Miles to defend the city alone for the first time) Spiderman 2 (Peter and Miles are fighting crime side by side from the trailers, it's not out yet but Venom and Kraven the hunter are the main villains)
I've watched this movie so many times and have watched so many reactions of it and I never thought that Spot would actually be the one that can fix everything. Makes sense good theory!
In his introduction, the writers made it a point to make Pav sound so carefree about being Spiderman and life in general, his canon event was to make him more serious. But Miles saved him affectly postponing his canon event so he's still kinda childish about it.
(At 1:04:36) Ben Reilly is a clone of Peter Parker going by the "Scarlet Spider" and I think he has fangs that pop out of his wrist (consumer talking about the same Scarlet Spider and not Flipside). His name comes from using Ben Parker's first name and May Parker's "former" last name.
In the first film, Miles’ spider senses change from purple and green to blue and red when he first meets Chris Pine’s Spider-Man variant ( the Spider-Man variant from his own dimension). Additionally, when he gets sent to the wrong universe, he can be seen wearing a green and purple jacket. These details imply that Miles from Earth 1610 was supposed to become the prowler instead of Uncle Aaron, while Miles from Earth 42 was supposed to become Spider-Man instead of the Prowler. They also showed Tobey Maguire with Uncle Ben during the Uncle Ben death scene.
Miguel's not a vampire, but he's genetically combined with a spider, and spiders are predators, and have fangs. So he's got more of the predatory aspects of a spider. And it happens to make him look vampire-y
1:12:40 In fact, Gwen's father was no longer a captain when he died in the canonical comics of the original Spider-Man, and Gwen's dad will die at the hands of the Storm Twins, which forces Gwen to leave her dimension to live in the original universe without family or friends. The death of the Stacys must happen if there is an arachnid totem involved. In the comics, Gwen no longer has powers and relies on a suit to stay alive.

Don't get confused by the rules of the movie. It's a different story from the comics and games. In the original Ultimate comic with Miles, Peter was killed and Miles became Spider-Man after but it wasn't in the same way as the movie. Years later in the comics, the multiverse converges and Miles Ultimate universe merges with the 616(prime) comic universe where the original Peter is still alive, so they coexist in the comics now. In the PlayStation game world, they both coexist without Peter dying. Also, Donald Glover/Gambino was from Tom Holland's Spider-Man movie. Spider-Man Homecoming.
good point. I consider the movies different from the comics At the very least they can be from different universes. They already give us the spider-verse concept, why not accept they can all be different? Like a human-arachnid-hybrid-poly-multi-verse.

1:04:37 Sam, Ben Riley is Peter Parker he’s probably if not def one of the top 5 most saddest spidey orgin story. He lost both uncle Ben and aunt may. He took his uncles name and aunt mays middle name(Riley) it’s very tragic in my opinion look it if you ever get the chance😁
FYI Miguel isn’t a vampire it’s just that his dna was fused with a spider instead of him getting bitten so he’s actually 50% spider which is why he has paralytic fangs and claws on his finger tips and has no spider sense but his senses are wayyy more enhanced. The injection he took was also to keep him from going feral.
It sounds good... but. I'm not sure that I see evidence of that in the movie. It could be in the comics I don't know. "If" Miles is an anomaly then it's possible no other universe has Miles as Spider-man because... there is always a Peter Parker and his friends (like Gwen) in those universes. Miles "might" actually be a real anomaly. It's more logical that Miles' family is The Prowler variants in all universes. But your theory is as good as mine.
The games, the comics and movies version of him are all different. Comics Miles loses his version of Peter in a tragic way (he was afraid to take up the mantle of Spider-Man until he witnessed Peter's death) and only joins the 616 verse cause of a whole multi dimension clusterfuck (BattleWorld) that was actually pretty good and the universes were literally stitched into one and heroes had to fight to stay in the comics. And basically Miles made it cause he was a fan favorite (and he had a cheeseburger in his pocket) among some other heroes (and villains). Games version (so far) was created in the same universe as a more successful Peter who tragically lost both Aunt and Uncle. (Great versions of both characters) Movies Miles is an anomaly as you see here (similar to comics I guess but without all the glitching and god-likes). (Best version of Miles IMO).
So for context Miles Morales was introduced in the ultimate marvel comic line after peter parker is killed. Also in the comics there is a version of Miles and Gwen that got married and had a few kids. Lastly this movie is basically a big middle finger to "canon" spiderman events. The comics basically refuse to let Spiderman have his happy ending and basically say spiderman must always suffer in some capacity which is something that fans continually debate on. Peter B. Parker is a prime example as in the first movie when he talks about his life hes basically gone through every struggle possible but thanks to Miles he ends up getting his happy ending with MJ and Mayday.
Yeah when Miles said to Earth 42 Rio that he’s Spider-Man & she doesn’t know who he is. My best friend realized it because he said his mom knows who Spider-Man is because she watched the news of his death
I saw another reactor who also guessed quickly, there were two of them reacting and one said almost immediately that Miles is in another universe, maybe it was by accident or subconsciously noticing something was wrong. It's great the different reactions, it's like we're living in a real polymultiverse! A humanarachnidhybridpolyreactionverse!
Ben Reilly / Scarlet Spider is a Peter Parker clone that was thought dead, but took it on the road when he figured out he wasn't the original. Took Uncle Ben's 1st name and Aunt May's Maiden name.
1:35:31 that Spider-Man is Ben Reilly also known as The Scarlet Spider. He has no relation to Peter Parker, it's a completely different Spider-Man FYI😢
Just to set the universes correctly... Donald Glover played Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming, not in the Andrew Garfield movies. Haven't had a chance to read into the comments, so someone may have already pointed this out. I'm late to the viewing this time.
Interestingly, when Miguel mentioned the events with Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, he called it Earth-199,999, which is the canonical designation of the MCU's universe within the actual comics' multiverse.
1:09:18 "No, Miguel is not a vampire; he is a very different Spider-Man from the rest. He is a 'Spider'-Man; he was designed to be stronger and more aggressive than the original. Miguel possesses powers and abilities that other Spider-Men do not have. For example, he has venomous fangs to paralyze his enemies, has claws and thorns on his hands, as well as on his forearms. His webbing is organic and intelligent, allowing him to control it as he wishes. However, he lacks some powers such as the spider-sense and electromagnetic adherence that other Spider-Men use to stick to surfaces. He has to rely on pure physical strength and his claws for that."
Because he is the original anomaly (miles) i think he can disrupted cannon event he can save people because he is not the original. Spider from another dimension bite Miles not a mistake, but a destiny he can change fate i think.

Also there was another scene that was slightly different, can't remember exactly. I thought the differences change the mood... very interesting! 1:25:20 its possible peter died and the new spider was aiming to make miles the new spiderman, but since it was taken to 1610's universe, earth42 didnt get that and fell to heavy crime maybe earth42's peter was overwhelmed with criminal outbreak and died, maybe he was already heavily weakened and fisk made the killing blow? theories, theories...
Miguel isn't actually a vampire, they just call him that since he resembles one.
@@Wyattoonsoh really let me see it then
So if the blond Peter is dead and Ben Riley is in this movie then explain the ultimate comics where ultimate Peter (brown hair) is still alive (and not some clone)

Small correction, Donald Glover is not from the Amazing Spider-Man movies (Andrew Garfield's movies), he's from the MCU, from Spider-Man Homecoming. Love your reactions. You really caught the universe 42 switcharoo so damn quick.
Kinda insane how quick they caught that and somehow mistakenly claimed Glover being in the Garfield Spider-Man movies. 💀

@@NeO_SaNdMaN4040 Doesn't seem that insane to me, realizing a plot twist before it is explicitly stated is different that mistaking the origin of the cameo. What's crazy is they showed us Earth-42 Miles before his proper introduction! In the flashback about the Spider, we see it is about to bite Earth-42 Miles until it got sucked into a portal.
Dope that you have 42 likes lol, but was that flashback in the first movie or this one?

Nope, Childish Gambino was not in Amazing Spider Man with Andrew Garfield.
Gambino was in the MCU, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Homecoming. When Tom Holland Peter webbed Aaron’s hands to his car and interrogated him, Aaron mentions he has a “nephew” to Peter. That is actually one of my favorite scenes in Homecoming.
Fun Fact: A deleted scene in Homecoming has Aaron on a phone call with his “nephew” saying that he’s gonna be late.
It’s impressive that you described the same story but it’s a different Peter/actor.
The Prowler version of Miles was supposed to be bitten by the spider that bit the original miles...So earth 42 miles or the prowler version was supposed to be actual Miles Morales spiderman
Yep. And our Miles was supposed to be The Prowler.
OR...maybe supposed to bite Earth-42's Peter Parker? I'm thinking that instead. I would want to think what you're thinking but that's not how I'm seeing it.
@@k-money70the show a drawing when they talk about the spider not being from his original universe and it shows miles with the braids so it was supposed to bite miles at that moment in time but would’ve just gave him the normal spider man powers not the invisible powers and venom strike they added that to the spider trying to make a better version of spider man’s-Peter Parker’s spider man
Moreover, in the first movie when Miles and his universe’s Peter first meet each other Miles’ spider sense is shown to be purple and green, only for it to synchronize to the classic blue and red of a Spider-Man. With the release of this film, some people now speculate that this is Miles’ fate shifting from being the new prowler into being the new Spider-Man.

Now that you mentioned that you like Miguel's theme, there is an old series called "Spiderman Unlimited" and that suit is based on Spiderman 2099 (Miguel O'Hara) and the theme song of the series is the same as Miguel's Theme... The first time i heard Miguel's theme i felt a nostalgia super strong
You guessed the universe twist way too fast. Lol
Ong, suspense completely ruined ☠️
I'm loving how the movie reflects of the TH-cam award. Sorta adds to the alternate/mirror dimension theme thing 😄
Young lady in the blue is so smart, no one knew Mile went to the wrong dimension and she shocked me how early she knew that 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
One thing I never see ANYONE talk about is that Rio in earth 42 had green eyes, while our Rio (1610) has brown eyes.
Loved the movie. The soundtrack has lived in my head rent free since I saw it in theaters.
40:39 he caused it. He created the portal that brought the spider that bit Miles into his dimension. He didn't have to work for Alchemax, he wasn't under duress, he chose to, placing him in the collider room when it exploded. Everything that happened to him was a result of his own choices.
u were guys were mad perceptive. i actually enjoyed this reaction.
OH MY GAWD I just caught that. People were saying Spider Byte was helping him get to his universe but she didn’t she knew that wasn’t his universe. That’s crazy.
LMAO WHEN MILES REALIZED IM SURE HE WAS LIKE NAAAH THAT GIRL DID NOT JUST SEND ME TO A WRONG UNIVERSE
She was just helping him escape.
But it's also a time when the art style was like "Draw every muscle you can think of and then add a few more that don't exist for good measure."
He's in there mostly for jokes.
In the current games Peter and Miles are BOTH alive and are both spiderman living simultaneously in the same world. Peter is Miles mentor.
Spiderman PS4 (Peter is spiderman and Miles gets bitten)
Spiderman: Miles Morales (Miles and Peter are spiderman but Peter goes on vacation leaving Miles to defend the city alone for the first time)
Spiderman 2 (Peter and Miles are fighting crime side by side from the trailers, it's not out yet but Venom and Kraven the hunter are the main villains)
The little details are amazing, like the fact that miles room in his home universe has art all over the walls. The prowler miles room doesn't
That's some of the best discussion and theory crafting I ve heard in a while
Miguel's not a vampire, but he's genetically combined with a spider, and spiders are predators, and have fangs. So he's got more of the predatory aspects of a spider. And it happens to make him look vampire-y
Anyone else get chills when spot says, "See you back home, spider man"
1:13:31 "I bet the animators had so much fun with this"
heheh, yeah, about that... 😅
yes that spider from earth-42 was supposed to bite miles that’s why the spider was looking for miles in the first movie
Benjamin "Ben" Reilly, also known as the Scarlet Spider. When Peter Parker temporarily left the Spider-Man role, Ben became the new Spider-Man while wearing a new costume variation designed by artist Mark Bagley. However, Reilly dies at the hands of Norman Osborn / Green Goblin, sacrificing himself to save Parker who then resumes the Spider-Man role.
In 2017's Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy story, the character is revealed to be alive, his mind forcibly transferred to new clone bodies by the Jackal repeatedly before his resurrection was successful. Reilly reclaims his Scarlet Spider identity in the series Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider. Reimagined as an antihero, he first hopes to escape his past then embarks on a spiritual quest to redeem himself.
Ben has died and returned more than anyone else in the Marvel Universe,.
one of the favorite scenes is when miles and prav are saving people and prav makes a web seat to sit on and help hold the people and then grabs miles hand to swing
When Spot explained getting the spider from the other universe, you can see the kid it tried to bite had the other Miles's hairstyle.
It's so good to hear you ladies laugh so much for a change.

Miles in universe 42 was supposed to be bit, but the spider got transported to other miles world and bit him instead.
22:20 remember when miles morales was gonna go web swinging/jump off the building? Both he and his father decided to take the stairs XD
Donald Glover didnt came out from Amazing Spider-Man series. He came out from Tom Holland's MCU lol
35:35 Dani must not know about Puerto Ricans, the 'leaving' part of the party takes 4-5 business days for us😂
The games, the comics and movies version of him are all different.
(Great versions of both characters)
Movies Miles is an anomaly as you see here (similar to comics I guess but without all the glitching and god-likes).
You guys are the first reactors I have seen who guessed immediately that Miles might be sent to the wrong dimension before he even got to the machine.
Overbearing parents usually love their kids the most. Just afraid of letting them go.

Lmfao bruh…I really enjoyed their reaction but they gotta stay sometimes 😂 they were asking questions at the time when it was being answered hahaha
Exactly it was annoying how much they talked
wow... (2:12) I did see a difference in dialogue in some scenes... I think. I think the boy on the glass... Miles says something different. Also there was another scene that was slightly different, can't remember exactly. I thought the differences change the mood... very interesting! It's like the audiences are having slightly different experiences. Just like a polymultiverse! The runtime is exactly the same though. Which makes sense.
1:25:20 its possible peter died and the new spider was aiming to make miles the new spiderman, but since it was taken to 1610's universe, earth42 didnt get that and fell to heavy crime
maybe earth42's peter was overwhelmed with criminal outbreak and died, maybe he was already heavily weakened and fisk made the killing blow? theories, theories...
The girl on the right is too smart, she predicted the whole plot wtf 😭
Idk how I didn’t realize that Gayatri Singh = Gwen Stacy for so long maybe I’m just a lil slow
48:16 "I want more Spider-Mans".
Be careful what you wish for.
53:33 actually he was in Spider-Man Homecoming with Tom Holland
@1:04:53 W MAES HUGHES REFERENCE, THE TRUE GOAT!!! ✊🏽😭🖤
I loved this review!!
Childish wasn't in the amazing spider-man, he was in the tom spider-man, Homecoming
34:21 she borrowed them from Hobie so she could match Miles with his Jordans (like a girlfriend wanting to wear matching outfits with her boyfriend)
Miguel isn't actually a vampire, they just call him that since he resembles one. He wasn't actually bitten by a spider, he fused the spider's DNA with his which is why his abilities are different, he has spider fangs and claws AND he has no spider sense as we saw in his introduction when Vulture got the jump on him and he didn't see it coming.
