That's precisely what still holds me in this brief moment of existence. Not all riders are that nice. But there are so many of them out there... I give no importance to flags, anthems, borders, prejudices, xenophobia... in the end we're all humans riding this big bike called Earth. We all may need help down the road. We all are willing to help others up that hill.
you understand that group that NORALY in it is not racing ,they are there for fun, and that's why they stop, they help, they do everything ,because they are there for fun, actual racer start way ahead of this group, and they are last to leave, so they don't interfere with actual racers!!
I’ve been riding for 56 years and I still maintain that the camaraderie shared between motorcyclists is the best in the motor vehicle world. Glad to see you’re safe. Many best wishes from South Staffordshire UK 👍🏻👍🏻😘
One of the most important things I ever learned when growing up around older bikers.. "Brothers For A Brother" - In other words: Everyone's in it together, and if one person has an issue, it's up to everyone else to pitch in and lend a hand to help out.. That is Exactly what I saw here, and that couldn't have made me any happier. Well done everyone! Bros For a Sis. Close enough! 🙂👍 🤘 Sam -
It's awesome to see how everyone stopped to assist. One of the great qualities of enduro and rally in South Africa. I cannot speak for the rest of the world, but here you will ALWAYS have someone that stops to assist. I've even had people bolt parts off their bike to put on mine so we could both continue. Amazing sportmanship. Congrats on completing the rally Norali! Wish I caught you while you were in Jhb.
So I never was happier about being wrong than today! It wasn't the leaky fuel can, no fireball, no injury, no nothing! 🤗 14:17 "I'm ready for more rallying, I'm going to take it slowly." -Aye right. We've seen that! 🤣 What a great effort, great evidence of what your 80000 Km(right?) of off-road riding taught you! I take a deep bow! Something more for you to be proud of! 🤗 Savannah will be easy to repair, she took all the strain of travelling and the rally so, so well, incredible how that little engine held itself! ( I wonder what a compression test would reveal after all the demanding trips.) P.S.: I think it's safe to say that the Kalahari Rally documentation on your channel is the most detailed and in depth one on the web now. Another best-result for you!
That one man who stopped to help you said something about "this is the fun we've been missing.." Sounds like the comradery is really more important than the winning. What an epic awesome adventure it has been. I'm tired from all that wild riding so can imagine you must be exhausted. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
Yeah, you have to take into account this was the adventure class as well where I think you will find more participants riding for the challenge and enjoyment of completing the course just like our girl here started out rather than an all out race class where finishing position may affect ones future sponsorship or riding career opportunities.
@@billwiley7216 On the nose. It's meant to be an entry level class for the "I just want to say I did it" folk. I'm not saying anything against them, most of the people who participate in those classes bring a lot of heart with them to the race. It hurts way more to see one of them have to call for a lift and receive a DNF than sponsored team.
The Kalahari Rally was never much more appreciated in all of their previous or available videos until this blue eyed wonder woman joined the adventure, capturing the true image of the race, "the I can't go slow", "the no hurry guys", pushing the 250cc limit and many more...it was just so fun to watch.
"Savannah with a shortened tail" a sad ending to a great rally. Loved all the laughter, camaraderie, how the guys rallied around to help you, carried parts etc. Congrats Noraly and Savannah, you both did exceptionally well. Had a feeling the "rally" bug would bite ...
The respect from the pros is just touching. Some people just can't forsake anybody in need. Those men are really great looking out for their comrade. Look at how people recognized what you have been doing. You are simply extraordinary, Noraly. Ride on safely. God bless you. Wish Savanna is okay afterwards. She's a hero.
Damn Noraly. You don't even think about slowing down anymore! I've witnessed your skills increase every stage. You are truly an inspiration to so many. Maybe Honda will step up and build you a CRF450 Rally bike? Just think of the competition you could give the KTM's and Husky's. You've already proved what the little 250 that could version of Honda can do now it's their turn to step up and sponsor you. Come on Honda take notice of this rising star! It almost brings a tear to my eye to see the camaraderie the other bikers had toward Noraly. Something the motorcycle world shares globally. Such a wonderful thing to watch.
No,she should stick with a 250 and ride in the 250 class, but her bike is under powered,my 94 xr250r has more power than this thing,my xr has 30hp and will do 140kph,it has more suspension travel and is lighter. she needs to do a bit of home work and get a bike with the specs she needs to go faster.I would be surprised if Savannah had much more than 20 hp,but I was impressed with Savannah's reliability,I know my XR R would never be able to do that because it's air cooled and starts playing up when it gets hot,I'm sure it would melt down on those sandy sections. more cubic capacity doesn't always equate to more speed and speed is not your only consideration in an Enduro, reliability is a big factor, I was lucky to make it home from my first Enduro,I used up all my spark plugs and after stripping down the top end found a hole had nearly burnt through the top of the piston.I just didn't realize how much your mixture leans out at constant wide open throttle and how important jetting is.
@@gogogeedus I was thinking the same thing while watching this awesome race, because I used to have a '99 XR250R and man that bike would rip! I was imagining riding that old XR in a race like this, it would be a ton of fun. Also those old XR250's are a LOT lighter than that pig CRF250L. You're right too, if she were on a more capable and more powerful bike, she would really be going fast out there, without nearly as much work.
From someone you've never met, and likely will never meet, but truly and genuinely, so very proud of you for what you accomplished in this. Savannah may have a flesh wound, but it can be repaired. What you carry as a memory and a medal will forever be treasured. Thank you for taking us on this amazing ride. WOW. Again you inspire us all.
It's very obvious that the other riders are on "Team Itchy!" They much enjoyed having you compete with them just as we so much enjoyed watching you and Savanah tame the Kalahari. "Let's Go" to your next adventure! JD
It's quite clear competitors made many new friends. The old times of "silly girl on a silly bike cannot possibly do this" are long gone. The impression even from the top teams is "go, go girl, you have to finish" it's great to see.
What Norally has achieved on her Honda CRF250L in the short time she's had her has proven that particular motorcycle and Honda should replace Savannah to show their appreciation for Norally's hard work and effort not forgetting the free advertising.
A bit more horsepower/torque, reinforced subframe, bigger gas tank. Tired were awesome but need a coating on the inside so that thorns can’t puncture. I had a fiat that had puncture proof tires! Yeah baby!!! No flats for me. 🥸
That's not exactly broken in two pieces. Just part of the subframe. I'm surprised that this little Honda endured that. Maybe no other CRF250L was ridden that hard for such a long time in such conditions. It was hard and demanding race for both of you. I'm glad that you made it to the end.
Looks like you were well in your element Noraly. You earned the respect of those around you, we out here that know your spirit have always respected you.

Thank you for taking me to the insights of a Rally!!
You could see that Noraly was progressing even further in her riding skills. At the start, she was riding very good... like an adventure rider. At the end of the rally she was leaning the bike over in the corners... like a racer.

And may the good Lord always protect you and be with you as you traverse into the wilderness, the cities and the plans of this beautiful planet.
There was a 0% chance those guys weren't going to do absolutely anything they could to help you. The "no hurry" guy at the end, his priority was watching over you; the rally was secondary.

It seems to be a theme: all are great competitors but they won't leave anyone having difficulties. Real sportsmanship.
@@ahoorakia sure I do! But this fact doesn't diminish their good will, does it?
@@denydias8923 no not all ,I agree with you, but that doesn't make her racer! does it?
I’ve been riding for 56 years and I still maintain that the camaraderie shared between motorcyclists is the best in the motor vehicle world.
Glad to see you’re safe.
Many best wishes from South Staffordshire UK 👍🏻👍🏻😘
14:18 "I'm gonna take it slowly"... We've heard that before, Noraly!

She didn’t!! So funny, “I just can’t go slow”, the words of a champion! Our Noraly!!!
On the pipe , from go! . You got that
😂🤣😂🤣 Yes indded 😉😊
Glad you're OK, the bike can be replaced and this doesn't detract from your achievement, you have done brilliantly.
I totally agree. What an amazing and strong woman.
No need to replace the bike. this is very fixable.
That's an easy fix. Unbolt the broken sub frame and bolt on a new one.

One of the most important things I ever learned when growing up around older bikers..
"Brothers For A Brother" - In other words: Everyone's in it together, and if one person has an issue,
it's up to everyone else to pitch in and lend a hand to help out..
That is Exactly what I saw here, and that couldn't have made me any happier. Well done everyone!
Bros For a Sis. Close enough! 🙂👍

Wonderful madness, smiles all over the place, no lamentations, just optimism and hapiness. We should all learn from you!
Stephan, Lohan, Ryan and Dave, true heroes and what makes motorcycling so rewarding.
THATS HOW THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD BE...
It's like that all over. All desert racers help each other. It's just like that over here in the California deserts and Baja Mexico
So I never was happier about being wrong than today! It wasn't the leaky fuel can, no fireball, no injury, no nothing! 🤗
14:17 "I'm ready for more rallying, I'm going to take it slowly." -Aye right. We've seen that! 🤣
What a great effort, great evidence of what your 80000 Km(right?) of off-road riding taught you! I take a deep bow! Something more for you to be proud of! 🤗
Savannah will be easy to repair, she took all the strain of travelling and the rally so, so well, incredible how that little engine held itself! ( I wonder what a compression test would reveal after all the demanding trips.)
P.S.: I think it's safe to say that the Kalahari Rally documentation on your channel is the most detailed and in depth one on the web now.
I’m glad you came out one piece safe and free from serious injuries!

I love motorcycle people. What a Community. I really enjoy it.
"Are you going to carry on riding?" "Of course." What other answer could there possibly be from wonder woman adventurer Noraly?
All I could think of was..." It's only a flesh wound! Come back and fight you coward!"...LOL

Some of the very best of this rally was the camaraderie of everyone. Riding out of your way to help others. Helping each other.
Still waiting for Honda reply 😬
@@gogogeedus I was thinking the same thing while watching this awesome race, because I used to have a '99 XR250R and man that bike would rip! I was imagining riding that old XR in a race like this, it would be a ton of fun. Also those old XR250's are a LOT lighter than that pig CRF250L. You're right too, if she were on a more capable and more powerful bike, she would really be going fast out there, without nearly as much work.

sure. tall blonde on the bike is not real reason, why there's 12 "engineers" stopping by to help.
JD
You actually captured the best of that rally - COMPANIONSHIP
Noraly, you give the best of yourself and bring out the best in people around you. That makes you special. Congratulations.
All those priveteers on the big 450's and Noraly goes vrooooooooom on her small 250, very impressed!
Savannah is fine, she'll trek another 40k easily without any adverts of Honda's help.
A bit more horsepower/torque, reinforced subframe, bigger gas tank. Tired were awesome but need a coating on the inside so that thorns can’t puncture. I had a fiat that had puncture proof tires! Yeah baby!!! No flats for me. 🥸
I dont think Noraly will part with Savannah regardless of the offer.
Such an bad luck dear Noraly...the motorcycle broke in the behind...but lucky nothing happend to You!!!!!!! Thank God for that!!!!!!!!😅😅
That's not exactly broken in two pieces. Just part of the subframe. I'm surprised that this little Honda endured that. Maybe no other CRF250L was ridden that hard for such a long time in such conditions.
It was hard and demanding race for both of you. I'm glad that you made it to the end.
Not to forget the 22.000km she did before the race.
