This is why Dave is such an amazing human being. Not only providing the community with content over multiple channels, but acknowledging those close to the creators who help make the content we enjoy possible.
All these vintage pulls, they're an amazing experience to open up. I wasn't around playing Magic that early since I started during Odyssey block in 2001, but thankfully some of those pulls like Taniwha, Feldon's Cane, Ertai's Meddling, the Urza Lands, and the Mirage Diamonds are pretty affordable as singles. Even Lotus Petal is a worthy budget breaker upgrade.
Man it's always fun opening old product I wish I could do it more often. Glad I can just live vicariously thru you during your openings haha

Man, I'm really happy to know somebody who regards Jerry Cantrell as their most favoritest human. He really is an amazing guitarist that makes you rewind certain parts of his and Alice in Chains' songs so many times. The riffs, they hit so hard, yet our feeble human minds encased within our mortal shells can't properly absorb every important, intricate note the first or second time through. Particularly, I always catch myself rewinding "Confusion", "Rooster", "Junkhead", "Angry Chair", "Frogs" to absorb sections of songs, even going as far as to restart the song "Dirt" a dozen times at the least because Jerry's opening riffs combined with the cymbals and Layne's choruslike screeching vocals, it's addictive and it's hauntingly beautiful. Oh wait, we were discussing Magic and opening vintage packs, right. 😁

Firstly, Big Box Dave! I love that he sends you these old school boxes. There's always a surprise of sorts when I see Dave's name somewhere in the video. Dave, if you ever read this, you're a badass human and very much loved.
Secondly, I started playing magic in 2008 and wasn't familiar with the older generations of magic. I never actually started digging deeper into these older cards until the start of the pandemic. With that said, my sister got me a "Magic the Gathering" t-shirt for Christmas this year. It had an creature on it that is incredibly familiar but I never knew what creature it was. I have been trying to find it on and off for the past few months. In regular "Big Box Dave Fashion," todays surprise was that you guys actually pulled the card on my shirt! I'm about to look up the price of Taniwha and buy a copy of it now lmao! I just love that my favorite MTG channel pulled the same creature I've spent hours to try to find. I guess patience really is a virtue.

ahh...Chronicles...I remember when a guy traded an UL Mox Ruby for a box at Gen Con '95...i laughed my butt off at him...he was mad at me...I knew what was in the set...watched him open the box...then he was mad again....sucker!!
