Hi Gabby, happy new year ! I agree with you - Bawadi is similar to Shaghaf Oud but not as strong. It’s funny that I wore Bawadi yesterday and Shaghaf the day before !! I got my bottle of Bawadi from an Islamic bookstore in Melbourne that also sells lots of fragrances.
Al Contrario must be so different on your skin. On me it smelled like I had spilled beer all over myself. It would have been perfect without that malt note. I had to sell mine, as I couldn’t stand smelling like I’d spent all night in a beer hall. Thanks for the video. Happy New Year!
D&G Only one Intense just didn’t wow me and I was expecting to be wowed. I’m waiting for my L’Interdit Intense to arrive. I tried it in Ulta and loved it immediately. Got a compliment in another store and all I’d done was spray it on my hand. Well I did have on fragrantbodyoilz impression of Angel Share and I was smelling delicious. TT Andromeda is beautiful! I ordered my decants from Maxaroma for a great price. Still not ready to drop the coins on though.
Wow!- the same happened to me with The Only One Intense. First ,on a blotter, (before all the hype), it was ''magic'', then I tested it again on my skin and it turned out to be just another nice vanilla fragrance...I turned to L'Interdit Intense instead :)
I got a sample of The Only One Intense today and it’s lovely but so so like Libre on my skin...a Libre/Alien hybrid....really wanted a little more coconut but my skin just doesn’t pull it x
What do you think of the only one? The original? I thought it was too sweet at first but when I use it I just love it and I sort of crave using it. The only one intense I thought I loved but in fact I never reach for it and it doesn’t make me feel good in the same way as the only one.

I have blind bought L' Imperatrice Edt . I ❤ it a lot but it hasn't got a big lasting power. I don't mind it because I like spraying two or three times in the day. Have you tried it? If so what do you think about it?
Beatiful scents. I have La Danza delle Libellule and Lolitaland but for me they are completely different. Lolitaland is a little sour for me, and I smell a lot of Bellini. I love both of them. I have also Casablanca a clone of La Danza, and I also love it. The Only One Intense is on my wish list. Happy New Year
I would have to disagree with you. D&G The Only One Intense smelled different to you because of something else, not the weather. It's a dark vanilla and almost a bit smokey (i know there aren''t any smokey notes in it, but it smells slightly dark like smoke) perfume that's best in cold weather just like the dark bottle suggests.
Dolce and Gabbana is extremely expensive in Denmark. Unless you buy her around Black Friday ;-) - I love the smell - and I also prefer sweet fragrances!
Hi Gaby, love your new niche fragrances collection. Please try the Les Parfums de rosine , Ballerina no 4. It's a beautiful combination of white florals and white peach. The bottle is really beautiful as well. I got a 100 ml bottle for 80 EUR from Amazon
i have seen Nobile 1942 la danza etc LOL a lot since last year... really tempted with that one.. but when Tara decluttered that, i was like... oh my... but then again she said she was not into sweet fragrances... Deborah Day loves that and i know she loves her gourmands... and i am so happy you decided to get that ! interesting that they really are similar... but the other one is just refined... I also have been thinking of getting Al Contrario... but I am not so sure about it.... you are probably reading my minds coz you bought the ones in my wishlist :D tiramisu and capuccino foam? my gosh that sounds heavenly !!!!!!

I have been eyeing Tiziana T fragrances for a while and I think I might get samples or decants before buying it. I heard so much about tabit it seems to be the most popular.
I just received d&g the only one intense and am in love with the smell but I will say it doesn’t seem to last long and I did 5 sprays and my husband couldn’t smell it sitting next to me in the car. I also ordered Tabit & Orza from (TT). Can’t wait to get those. Happy new year!🎈

I think is about the notes. Oriental notes like vanilla, tonka ,cedar edt work better in the colder weather when noted like coconut, orange ,pear are doing better in the heat
Heavier fragrances are better in the cold, lighter fragrances are better in the heat. Heat makes a fragrance project much more. If it’s already heavy, it can be choking like a wool turtleneck in a heatwave. Lighter frags are barely detectable in the cold, and almost require the heat for projection and longevity. If a frag isn’t working for you, table it until the next season and try it again 😃

It’s interesting how differently we all perceive fragrances. To me La Danza has nothing in common with Lolitaland. I have been a fan of Al Contrario for a while. I think it smells like freshly baked bread. ❤️
D&G - the only one intense: Are you sure that's an original bottle? Aliexpress has the same black and white packaging, and they're definitely not the original fragrance. But on the other hand, fragranceX doesn't sell fakes...

Yes, Bawady means a place in desert that has water , tents to live in.

I agree. When it was fall, I enjoyed the only one intense a bit more. Now that it’s colder, I don’t reach for her as much. So it may be the temp.
Beatiful scents. I have La Danza delle Libellule and Lolitaland but for me they are completely different. Lolitaland is a little sour for me, and I smell a lot of Bellini. I love both of them. I have also Casablanca a clone of La Danza, and I also love it. The Only One Intense is on my wish list. Happy New Year

I would have to disagree with you. D&G The Only One Intense smelled different to you because of something else, not the weather. It's a dark vanilla and almost a bit smokey (i know there aren''t any smokey notes in it, but it smells slightly dark like smoke) perfume that's best in cold weather just like the dark bottle suggests.
