What a beautiful song, as a non indigenous Australian I find this song and Gurrumul inspiring and equal to any music or artist on the top 40 and better than most, it should be aired on national radio stations, I believe Australians as whole would embrace it, I saw the video clip on a flight home from a mine site on R&R and couldn't wait to get on the PC to find it, a brilliant piece of music

Earlier today I walked into my nephews room with his mum (my sister). He had just woken up after a long nap and was being shy, the same way i would at his age. The room was dark and 'gathu mawula' was playing softly - it was like walking into a dream or an old memory i had forgotten... My mum passed away in 2016 after battling with pulmonary hypertension for the best part of 10 years - she was so tough... When i heard this song today, i had to hide my teary eyes from my sister. I could remember my mum, at peace, being taken to another world by the sound. Forgetting about her pain and struggles. I cannot explain the feeling

It has nothing to do with your people's language they are older then your culture also nothing in Australia is named after anything indian

And Tamil is the oldest language of all, there are evidences that the Tamil is older than 6th century BC. Aboriginals won't be older than Sentinelese, who have never been contacted.
