Trains Around Davis: Amtrak | Union Pacific | California Northern

Davis, CA is a very popular location for watching trains in Northern California. The wye at the south end of town is a junction point with the California Northern West Valley Subdivision off of Union Pacific's Martinez Subdivision. Amtrak and Union Pacific run trains on the double track mainline between Roseville and Oakland, and the California Northern delivers interchange traffic for the Union Pacific, a couple times a day during the week. Amtrak's California Zephyr and Coast Starlights are also seen making their stops in town on their way to Chicago, Seattle, The Bay Area, and Los Angeles.
