    The chain was a great deal, I made the video on the fly and was concerned with the size.
    The price was on point and overall I am very happy.

    If you pay attention to the info on the chains it says size can differ by .5mm because its diamond cut

  • @tnez537
    @tnez537 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    When it’s diamond cut it’s initially the mm stated n then the diamond cut brings it down some.If you can get a right spot it will measure 4mm.Hawaii Ropes explained it in one of his videos that if you want that exact MM then go up that .5 size.Like myself I want a 6mm look so I would have to order a 6.5mm to get that 6mm look.

    • @JayJay-he9bk
      @JayJay-he9bk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Agree. My 5mm rope is like a 4.5mm

    • @1Interloper
      @1Interloper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah but I think that is a misleading thing to do, if someone is ordering a 6MM Diamond cut chain it shouldnt be delivered to your door at 5.5mm with the excuse of it being "diamond cut" the chain should be exactly what was ordered, this is a lowkey marketing tactic that they do and its VERY misleading! part of the reason a couple of jewelers do this is so when you go online to search prices it seems like they are cheaper by MM stated but folks need to realize to go by Gram weight to also confirm MM is correct.

    • @exkal215
      @exkal215 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you watch Jacoje’s videos. He does explain that. The initial measurements are taken before the diamond cuts and that’s the measurements they use. At the end of the day, you pay for gold the the weight not the size.

    • @dedreonmitchell1283
      @dedreonmitchell1283 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Ok so, if this is the case!? Then Jocoje should go up to 6.5mm or 5.5mm to insure the correct size that is being ordered!! Why should I have to go up in size just to get the correct size that I am Paying for!?? I have never encountered this before when buying D/C rope chains in the past! Whatever size I played for!? Is the size that I got!! None of them was Down .5mm. This is some B.S.

      @@Silvertarian I get it man. However when you chose to go with a DC chain you are shaving mm off. look at his website and it will state it on there too. A lot of companies sell there rope chains just like that. You’re basically paying for the weight of the chain. Check my video on my rope. It’s a 5mm but actually measures at 4.5.

    • @elizabethsemernezski5318
      @elizabethsemernezski5318 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    • @MagicsJohnson
      @MagicsJohnson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@elizabethsemernezski5318 i’m sure most people don’t really know that a D/C rope is different from a regular rope, and the confusion happens because Jacoje doesn’t sell regular ropes at all. Regular ropes are actually their as-advertised mm. However, you’d be paying more for the gold weight that isn’t shaved off for the diamond cuts, and that regular rope will cost more than the Jacoje rope at the same advertised mm.
      I’m pretty sure Braden has stated in a video from 4+ years ago that he’s never brought in regular ropes because he didn’t think they would sell as well as well as D/C.

  • @ctk1604
    @ctk1604 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Must’ve not done ur research. He says in so many videos that the chains are measured before the diamond cutting process. Usually about .5mm taken off. The right way to determine if you got the correct value is by the weight of the chain. That’s what you are actually paying for.

    Just go to asain jewelry stores if you want some nice handmade high purity 22k/24k pieces.
    Even stores like Jacone have a much higher premium than what it's supposed to be.

    Lol yeah man. Nonetheless that’s a beautiful chain but 4mm is 4mm. I get that the diamond cut shaved some off but If so, that chain should be listed as a 3.5mm. Check out Hawaii ropes too. He got some good deals

    • @Silvertarian
      @Silvertarian  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, it's an excellent product. Just keep in mind if you want to pair with a franco that is a size smaller it will have to be 3mm. Even with the size being smaller than advertised, the gram weight is on point and is still a good price for the chain. About $75 per gram in 22k which is fantastic.
      As far as I can tell hawaii rope chains does the same thing. I think their supplier is the same. Don't quote me on that, I have not purchased from him.

    It seems like this jacoje guy has issues with stating what his pieces actually are, this like the third video where I seen the size being off and it’s always under, not over so idk what’s up with that, i personally would never buy anything from that guy myself, I believe it’s much better to establish a relationship with a jeweller, local is ideal, you want to be able to actually check pieces out before you buy them at least in my opinion and I can say almost with 100% certainty that you are going to be paying absolute top dollar from jacoje, that’s just my 2 cents anyway.
