Thanks man. I applied this solution and now both fans are smoking working. Now I can drive on the high way without the fear of overheating leading to burning the top gasket.By estimate I was told it will cost me $210. Thanks man again.
Im doing this on my 2012 ford focus but seems like this car you’re showing is a different year model than mine so not same location. Anyway of knowing which fuses im looking for?
Stupid question.. i did this and worked. How long should one run it like this? I know it reduces the fans lifetime. Dont really care about that since they are very cheap tbh but would this cause any other problems such as electrical? Reason I dont care about the fans life time is, ive changed thermostat, fans, resistor, radiator, headbasket and other shit that has to do with cooling the car. and the car still over heats due to the fans for some reason not engaging.. My othwr problem now is, the blower motor not working.. i already changed the blower motor resistor, worked for a week and then stop working. The resistor doesnt look fried.. maybe my blower motor is fucked... by anychance, is there a way to bypass the blower motor resistoe?
The fans will be fine. I ran mine for over a year with no issues. It wont hurt the electrical. When you say your blower motor, are you referring to your ac blower motor?
@@JoeFasho yes the ac blower motor... i found my problem for that... it was the small little 10 red fuse for the blower motor that was making sparks since it had a bridge done to it from being a burnt fuse in the past
Just wondering on your recent video on focus you use the SCT X4 is that still working out for you? I have similar problems on my focus on idle it overheats then when I run the car it stops overheating the fan kicks on. I changed the cylinder head sensor, fan resistors. Change the water pump and thermostat to 180 degree. Still overheats on idle. It's just frustrating. Maybe SCT X4 will help. Please advise thanks
Ok thats good. Are the kicking on after the car starts to heat up? I ask becuase thats what mine was doing. But my high speed was the only one turning on. After i got the tuner, i was able to set the low speed fan temp and high speed fan temp and it fixed my issue. Now the fans turn on (low speed/high speed) and the car does not overheat.
If you need a quick and simple solution for now without buying a tuner, you can run the fans as a constant. You can see how in my video here: th-cam.com/video/bdjhqN2yBs8/w-d-xo.html

Which pins the ones closer to the windshield or tho the left?
Legit just did this in under five minutes. Fans still refused to turn on after I initially replaced the resistor but this does the trick.
Hell yea buddy! Just fixed my cheap beater overheating. I appreciate this video.
Good shit man my daughters car was having a major problem I could not figure it out watch this video work like a champ thanks man
Thanks Joe! Great Temporary Solution!!! Awesome, you're saving me and my job!
I just used this solution as well, think i might just leave it as it is now
It's easier to just pool out the relay
And show where to stick the wire
And that takes only few sekends
"This way you may burn the computer"!
So you connect your switch voltage to a ground pin?
Can you also do this other fan
Worked thanks for your help

Or anyway i can contact you for help definitely needing the help on this would be appreciated!
@ProjectFlip do I have to rep the positive side of the wire
Which holes did you put them in exactly on each relay
Wat type of wire he used
Wait....which pin do i need to ground?
it worked I did it for my 02 yet still may have to replace the fuse box blower fuse is fried.
Ok so i tried this, May have got the wrong pins not sure. But the fans kicked on but the two seconds they were on that jumper wire got warm.
What gauge wire did you use?
It was either 14 or 16 gauge. Just basic speaker wire
@@JoeFasho thanks for the reply, ok gonna try it now. Will keep you posted
@@JoeFasho how long do u think it will last till the fan burns up?
They should last a good while. The stock fans are built very well and can dont burn out that fast
@@JoeFasho works perfect bud thank you for the tip
