Honestly, that backlog idea is pretty smart. Those videos essentially act as vacation days of sorts, hopefully other youtubers do the same thing, just as a backup if something goes wrong.

One of those guys that blew up overnight here (from 100 subs to 65k in about a year). One banger video can definitely make your channel IF you strike while the iron's hot. Had a video go nuclear randomly one day. It was about 6 months old but then out of the blue it went from a few hundred views to 400k in about 3 or 4 weeks and luckily I had some stuff in the same vein already in the works so I just dropped a few videos in the weeks following and I hit 10k in less than 3 months. Of course I had some other videos get pumped into the algorithm down the line and here we are. TH-cam is really fucking weird with how it works.

YouTubing is a great job cause you can kinda work at your own pace. A side job would be a good idea as your growing but at a certain point it works fine as it’s own.

Can’t think of anyone besides pewdiepie that has kind of hit it and stayed on. And even then the algorithm never shows me him anymore and I used to watch him every day like less than a year ago. I just forgot and they never show him now

I guess TH-camrs should understand most people dont sit around and wait for their new video with some sky high expectations. I like all three of these guys, I like watching their videos, but I dont think about them for weeks sometimes. Stay humble, you're not really that important in people's lifes

How does it work?
Upload less than 1min videos and put as many tags as in the description for stonks algorithm to follow you
No one knows the algorithm, it keeps changing randomly and slowly people figure out some aspects that have changed but never fully, it's really weird cause some videos that didn't even get to 1 million views may appear on trending, while others above 5 million views won't.
Jacksepticeye spoke up a little about it and he confirmed how unpredictable the algorithm is.

there is nothing that i hate more on youtube, than talking ''about the business''. Whether is acting, podcasting, music or anything. I just hate it. I like the videos einshine did with the anime man, also i like the videos abroad did with emma. I like those silly quizes and the loser eats the wasabi type of videos.

But this is not them talking about "The business", it's them talking about their life and their struggles.

Also youtubers are spoiling the future génération because with accesible phones into a child's hands and the widespread of social media gives this stereotypical view of youtubers making popular content and easy cash from the comfort of their home. This can have an impact on young children as they will likely choose lazy, easy money jobs causing a decrease interest in professional jobs.
They are lazy bums who whine about not getting a real profit from a non existent occupation. TH-cam is a hobby not a job
