I appreciate the innovation and form factor of the Viture One XR glasses, but I’m currently using the Apple Vision Pro with the solo knit strap and a 3D-printed forehead attachment, making it open-face-no light gasket pressing against my face! I wear the Vision Pro for 6-7 hours a day for both coding and entertainment, and it’s fantastic now. Apple should have offered this design from the start! I was really hoping these glasses would offer better resolution and larger, adjustable virtual screens so I could easily throw them in my bag or leave them at the office. Maybe the next generation will? It’s still a pretty cool product, and I hope they update the software to support better screen configuration and resolution.
How are they for productivity? With an 8 hour work day what is it like using these as your monitor set up? I’m not looking for a $600 monitor replacement for gaming or to take a portable handheld Switch and make it less portable, but spend a bunch of money instead of just using my TV. What size screen do they actually compare to? These all promote that it’s X inches viewed from Y feet. That size in your vision always smaller than a 27 inch monitor close to your face on your desk at a normal viewing distance.
I don't see anyone wearing these for 8 hours. They are amazing but there is no reason to do that. There is no size screen to compare it to. For instance, if you are sitting on your couch looking at your TV, the field of view of these glasses will be bigger than what is occupied by your TV. If you go and stand in front of the TV about 1 foot away, then the image from the glasses will be smaller. For me these work well because, you see finer detail because the screens are very close to your eye. So the field of view coupled with the detail makes it feel like a large screen for watching movies. It doesn't feel like IMAX, but one of the smaller screens at the corner of the theater sitting in the middle or the back. Another way to describe it is via gaming. I play racing games in cockpit view mostly. Looking at upcoming corners in a racing game in cockpit view is difficult on the 7" Steam Deck. When you use these, the hood of the car feels like it is actually the size of the hood of a car and upcoming corners are easy to see. That's how much of your field of view the glasses occupy.
@@ruzaroos Reason to do that ... if it's a GOOD monitor system and functions like the giant screen they say it does ... I should be able to size my windows within the screen size (same as you would with a 30+ inch monitor on your desk). Is this ... $600 device a functional alternative to a pair of expensive monitors for me as a software engineer? This is a use case the manufacturers promote heavily. But, ZERO of the reviewers talk about it beyond saying it's possible to use it with a laptop. What is it like trying to use this as your monitor to do all of your work? As of a couple years ago ... every option like this on the market was trash. That doesn't mean these are still all bad. The most useful metric for talking about screen size is ... X inchs at Y distance. That's what matters. These companies are happy to say it's like a 130 inch screen or a 200 inch screen or whatever. My AppleWatch is like a 200 inch screen .... if that 200 inch screen is far enough away. @@zero11010 As a software engineer who bought these because I'm going back to grad school, and need a portable monitor setup, I can say that you CAN use these, but regular monitors are still much better, and thus why I still use monitors at home. Let me explain. I'm still trying to understand the physics of what's happening but first of all, any slight movement of your head means your eyes are in a different place. What /i have come up with is the edge of what we see in the real world is in our peripherals and the edge of the world with these glass, i.e. the edge of the display, is visible, so any head movement is very noticeable. In the real world, we can move our head and never notice the movement because the peripheral part of our vision. Another aspect is these use a 3DOF sensor, so we don't have the only 3DOF that the vision pro have which would help stabilize these movements and make them less noticeable. Basically, the biggest problem I have is slight movements can result in very short temporarily blurry text (not always, but sometimes), and you really notice head movement (slight movements feel way more dramatic than a real screen). If you have a head rest, this isn't really an issue. But if your free hanging your head, it's hard to hold your head perfectly still. Bottom line, yes they can be used in place of monitors, but I personally only use them when I'm out and can't really bring monitors with me. I find it's more comfortable and intuitive to use monitors at home. It's not quite as magical as the marketing portrays it to be, but it's very interesting tech and I don't regret buying it.
@@zero11010 In this context, the detail is the field of view covered by the displays in the glasses. This is possible because the glasses are always the same distance from the wearer's eyeballs. Monitors can't articulate a field of view measure because they have no idea where you are going to position your body relative to the monitors. If your 32" monitor is only 1080P, then yes you can tile windows with it. If you have 2 1080P monitors, that's 3840x1080 and no you will not recreate that multi-tasking environment in the glasses. The glasses are not meant to replace a monitor in places where you could be using a monitor. The glasses allow you to bring a monitor wherever you go. They are better at replacing TVs than monitors if you watch content alone anyway. Once these glasses are 1440p and definitely when they are 4K, I have no use for a TV. I connect mine to an Apple TV using a $30 adapter from Amazon and don't turn on my TV nearly as often. They are my preferred way to watch movies at this point.

They already get hot. Can't imagine hot they will cool the chips to drive those 4k displays. Vision pro has 2 fans, that's why they can get away with it.
Probably coming in the next year or so though, ARM chips are being produced on a mass scale now (ie M1 or snapdragon x elite), they will eventually reach devices like this probably as we get into 2025 and they will improve energy efficiency and thermal performance dramatically for compact devices like this. Is it just me or did you skip over the sound?
Sound is really not that good and you can't regulate it via your device
Quick question, and I apologize if you answered this later in the video because I’m posting this before having watched the entirety:
Do these work with the 2nd Gen Backbone’s pass-through port?
Does it work with apple ipad iPhone ?
Yes
A huge dealbreaker is the lack of correction for hyperopia, and not just myopia. Really strange design choice, it renders them useless to a lot of people i guess.
What? They have dials built in to adjust the focus 1:19 and they also sell prescription lenses. Google is your friend.
$9 lens cover ... I get that it's like $0.30 to make but honestly surprised that it isn't 19.95 these days
Apple would have charged $199
It is just missing a camera, otherwise would be very good. I don't know why I would buy such glasses without a camera.
Why do you want a Camera ?
@@timetoshine2752 For streaming whatever I am currently doing, several other glasses have a camera, so I don't get it why to even produce glasses without it
does the display have to follow your head or can you fix it?
Excellent review 👍🏼
Too bad you can’t charge the dock while using. That’s a deal breaker
When are they going to have AI glasses? It would scan text in real time and give useful information. That's what I want.
Everybody was laughing at matrix characters always wearing sunglasses. Well who's laughing now huh
So have any of these brands figured out Bluetooth compatibilty yet? Love to not have a cord hanging down
You'll need the neckband for that. There's no way to put a battery on this devices for now.
Bluetooth isn't great enough for video display. Youd need wifi or wireless HDMIwhich are powerhungry +displays. So you'd need a massive battery in these things. Wife is the way to go for now.
Can we watch 3D movie?
These seem extremely useful, but not at $500. Every keep buying them please, so the market grows and these come down in price lol.
I can't ever see myself buying a pair of these until the price hits $150, especially since I already have a VR headset that does this but better at the same price
@matthew.22k I disagree. As this tech matures companies will make cheaper versions. Same thing happens with every tech, like phones. You can get a smart phone with more tech in it than these glasses for $150
1:32 accidentally a word
1080p!.. Goodbye
It's scary how advanced AI has become. Besides for his speech, he seems almost real
lol
"as far as that what means to my eyes"
Probably really bad for the eyes if used too much.. but definitely looks good to use when travelling.
Trying to pinpoint what I hate most about this video... It's probably the fact that you're reading the whole thing and nothing comes across as heartfelt or authentic. A close second would be the fact that someone actually paid you to do this. But what really makes me sad is that humanity has devolved to a point where this is, not only acceptable, but someone's standards could be low enough to like it.
how harmful to the eyes are these glasses compared to your typical blue light screens?
How about eye contacts that are virtual pro powered by solar. That uses gestures control
Can you walk around and watch a movie ? Make like a small screen lol
I want 4k glasses
They already get hot. Can't imagine hot they will cool the chips to drive those 4k displays. Vision pro has 2 fans, that's why they can get away with it.
Probably coming in the next year or so though, ARM chips are being produced on a mass scale now (ie M1 or snapdragon x elite), they will eventually reach devices like this probably as we get into 2025 and they will improve energy efficiency and thermal performance dramatically for compact devices like this. We are very much in the middle of a big technological change with the chip evolutions and AI innovation.
@@heyaisdabomb vision pro is hot because it has an m2 processor constantly streaming 12 cameras at 100fps not because it has a 4k display, these glasses have very minimal processing and it's basically just 2 1080p screens
@@GenomiMontavani ARM chips have been around since the 1980s and have represented 90%+ of smartphone chips since 2010. They are simply becoming more popular and supported.
Rokid Max is better in every way.
But they literally are not... Viture has 1000 nits of brightness instead of 600 nits, and the electrochromatic film blocks out 99% on the Viture vs 90% on the Rokid. Also, I don't see anything about multiply displays on the Rokid. Only plus for the Rokid is slightly more myopia adjustment.
@@heyaisdabomb - Rokid Max is 1200p/120Hz/16:10, & has 6 diopters of built-in vision correction. It’s plenty bright, & doesn’t attempt to be an AR headset with obscure software.
I will buy these once they are 4K 120HZ
quick question, if the glasses had twice the capability and viture asked €1160 for the renewed glasses. Would you really buy them for 4K 120HZ/ €1160? it's not like viture is going to upgrade the glasses for the same price, and i know plenty of monitors that do 4K 240 for less than €1160. Don't you? the current pro XL glasses cost €580 so twice the capability would mean double the price.
@@its.your.joyce.2024 No double the price would be too much but for $600 I would buy it. Way cheaper than a monitor!
Hi, your not developing these glasses, so your not setting the price either. The point is that your expectations way higher than they should be.
@@its.your.joyce.2024 Next year when micro oleds are cheaper they will release a 4K version just wait for it haha
Had the x real pro hated them.
The glasses look odd. They standout just as much as a headset.
What... they literally look like bulky glasses not a brick stuck to the front of your face
Technology is crazy these days, thanks Aliens for crashing down
Limited edition OLED? Lmao
Never knew about this product before, for such product, they need more guerilla marketing
Is this video ai?
Yes
what. Brand. Are. They. Please
Jesus christ dude, read the description.
Tonto
*R34* 😏
1080p is lame for any goggles, so overpriced also that controller doesn't have analog triggers which he didn't mention
So don't buy them ,simple
@@Pipes61874yeah totally agree. It’s like, Ok so they aren’t a product for you. Not everything is for everyone.
Looks like you are blind when you wear them.
Where's the review?? You just read the specs mate
You must have watched a different video, he gave his opinion on several points and compared to other glasses.
Should be 8k
Finally I can watch po×n in public.
