  • Actress and Playwright Tatiana Hotere joins me for a conversation about unforeseen grief.
Tatiana's late husband Jason passed away unexpectedly six years ago. In this episode, Tatiana walks me through so much of her journey with grief and what it's taught her along the way.
Tatiana shares about the early stages of questioning herself and her past decisions, all the way through to the challenge she has taken up now to live her life in a way that honours her late husband.

At the same time, one of my best friends and I both lost our dads. She mentioned that the loss journey was easier on her but difficult for her dad. Conversely, for our dad, it was easier on him but difficult for us.

touch therapy is such a powerful trauma healing tool - Havening (I'm still not comfortable with the name) is a therapy offered in Aotearoa and I highly recommend it. It helped me with a defining (negative) childhood memory which had resulted in HOW I was living my life...my brain was rewired from that memory and I am unable to be affected by that memory. it's been released. I have so loved this kōrero and Tatiana's amazing journey with grief.
