Broadway-Bound A Bronx Tale Gives First Look at New Leads Ariana DeBose and Bobby Conte Thornton

Ariana DeBose, Bobby Conte Thornton and Nick Cordero head the cast of A Bronx Tale. The new musical comes to Broadway after a world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse earlier in the year. Book is by Chazz Palminteri and is based on his original one-man show. Alan Menken (music) and Glenn Slater (lyrics) provide the tunes which incorporate varied styles of early 1960s pop. Robert De Niro and Jerry Zaks co-direct the production. Performances begin November 3 at the Longacre Theatre. Here, the cast performs four songs in the rehearsal room.

Saw this show in the beginning of January with my sister. Thought it was amazing, Ariana was like 90% of the reason I wanted to see the show and I ended up loving the entire thing.

Shes amazing but it wouldve been better if they casted a Black woman for the role instead of someone who is mixed race, it means so much to see unambiguously black women represented in love stories because colourism often pushes them out of their own roles.
love Ariana though... Ariana is perfectly cast in West Side Story
