This is one of my favorite boats, It doesn't just handle small ponds, but large lakes! I used to drive this boat behind our bigger boat, it could keep up with ease, I used to jump the wakes and larger crests. It handled beautifully!! Sadly now it just sits gathering dust. Thanks Medic for all your vids so I can still live vicariously through them.
The motor sounded like a 7.5 C.C , K&B . Have you considered going electric? THE boat, definitely has serious potential, as it it rock solid on the water. THE closest thing to this boat, is the Traxas, Spartan , on 8S ,and running in the low 70's. Our fast electric boat group, has two M41's and a couple of Sonic Wakes, and a Shreddy. ALL doing over 50-60+ . It's a different game, at that speed. I ran Class B . hydro's back in the 70's, But none of them ran out as nice, as your boat. I always hated messing with the Nitro stuff, and hard starting engines. THEN, the props were always goofy, depending on lake conditions. THE new FAST Electrics now , are more stable, and require less maintenance. Thx . for the video.
I’ve watched this video before, but I only realized now how good your camera work was. Really steady even when you zoomed way in to get the boat, then you zoomed out nice when it passed so you didn’t lose it. It’s a nice video!
nice boat. but there's no fun in just buying a boat and running it to me with out build them from scratch like I do. you will appreciate the workmanship and time that you put into that boat building it. you just appreciate it a lot more.
Dude, Not Everyone has the time or abilities to build their own. But there are many quality builders to suit various budgets. Get out and Enjoy the RC Hobby Folks. #HMU if looking for help in the hobby.
Now that is a BOAT! :D Very impressive! Amazing how much the boat slows down at throttle-off by the way.. And now.. The pond is to small ;) Cheers and thanks for sharing!
Hey Ik you prob won’t see this but I need advice regarding the boat cause I might buy a brand new one for 800$ with gas and a stand? How much were they new before they stopped selling and is that a good deal?
+stoneenforcer I have never seen a 7.4 hp Zenoah RC engine, and I own a dyno (which I calibrated) and build them for a living. A 7.4 hp Zenoah RC engine (running on gas)---does not exist.
+EarthSurferUSA Hey Doug! That Rev-Unlimited probably isn't putting out anywhere near 7.4 HP. Bruce Lykins can do some nice work but that's stretching the truth a tad. My son took a KOS out for a drive when a guy from Battle Creek came over to run with us one day and said that it's the worst boat he's ever driven. My son must have been around 25 or 26 at the time so it's not like he was a little kid and he's been running boats before he was 12. Look at the exhaust system. It's too long to do any good for a tuned pipe. I've got a Rev-Unlimited in my Stryker F-41 that was modded by Mike Ross at Suicidal and it runs very well. Yes, you can get 7 HP Dyno'ed out of a Zenoah.
For those who will say electric is much faster, only for the first 4 minutes which is the average time a electric 3S 6500mah x 2 batteries will last (more than $100.00 per pair of batteries for 5 min. of fun). Gas, 1 gallon of fuel $2.20 or so, synthetic oil) Not everything is speed, for those of you electric speed freaks, the sound, realism, runtime, win win.
Dude.. 3s Lipo packs that can put out minimum 25c discharge will cost folks at LEAST $100. Some bats are way more expensive. You need a solid 50-80 discharge rate for anything this big.. and run at LEAST a 12s for this size. That means they are spending at least $600 on batteries, $600 on an ESC, a Whole Electric motor setup (another $500) - and then they get to play for 10 minutes at most. So.. all in all, Im thankful someone like you came by to be realistic with the folks that say "electric is faster". Because this boat would spin circles around theirs after 5 minutes, like you say .. and it would do it for an hour..
mazpr2025 all arguments are great, except sound and realism. A real boat of that class sounds badass, that sounds whiney and obnoxious. And a real boat can't handle like that
LOL, tell us something we don't know, daaaah! OMG, you are one of those who walks into a hobby shop and states that same comment, what a troll. Of course its not the same, but its as close as it gets. You can't judge the sound as it is never the same on video, the same goes for nitro and even electric. Go play with your red ball, no need to use batteries, fyi, so don't worry about the environment.
You guys make some AWESOME content +RCSparks Studio, definitely earned a sub from me. I just purchase an Axial Racing Yeti SCORE trophy truck as my entry into the RC world. Cant wait to start doing custom stuff.
Its old news bro.. these engines can be explained by checkingout Oneill brothers racing, or by checking out any goped engine mods. They go them all the way up to 9hp at the crank..
Nice! I Oun a lazer 41 by ac model boats.Has the old QuickDraw super 25 with big bore carb.Hold on to your toys for bog boys you'll never know when you'll get the itch to play.
I hate to bust a bubble here, but that is the smaller bore (34mm) Zenoah G260 PUM engine (ported by Gizmo motors), and the top power we see from those is about 5.5 to 6hp. The larger 36mm PUM engines, well modified, can make close to 7hp though,---with a Quick Draw hot pipe (the pipe I use for marine engine testing). I am pretty tried of my engine building competition (some of them, not all) using inflated HP numbers for sales, when they don't beat us at the track. We have had 6.75 hp engines set oval track records, and if anybody has a Zen based RC engine that claims to make more than 7hp,---lets run it on my "calibrated" dyno, and see if it is true. To the best of my knowledge, Gizmo (who had the same dyno unite I own, a land and sea water brake unite, but set up differently), never got his dyno running. From the pics I saw, with a 3:1 reduction ration and no clutch, he probably could not get the engine started, because I had a real hard time staring a 29,5cc engine with no clutch on my dyno with a 4:1 reduction ratio. I had to make a special clutch (pivot arms made of heavy steel) to make it work. By the way, for comparison with a dyno I do trust, the Quick Draw engines of the same size only makes 7.2hp, and that cylinder porting configuration (they make their own cylinders, and they are the best in the industry) is way more modern/advanced than any Zenoah cylinder (port configurations from the 60's). If you have a Zenoah RC engine that the builder claimed makes more than 7 hp, you are not buying into honesty. (sans knowing your set up),My 36mm builds will almost lift that hull out of the water when you hammer the gas, and they make 6.75hp @ 16,000 rpm with the QD hot pipe on my calibrated dyno. Doug @ ESP--sold at DDM.
I can't believe how stable and responsive that thing is. It looks like its on rails.
That’s what most catamarans are like
Very cool
Because it's so heavy and slow.
This is one of my favorite boats, It doesn't just handle small ponds, but large lakes! Do you still have it? I’d love to buy it?

Magnificent machine! The sound you recorded was amazing - I can't even imagine how good it sounded at the pond.

Yea lots of noise and lots of money but no get up and go.thats to bad.cool boat.
Such a beautiful piece of kit - looks a little front heavy though, doesn't seem to want to plane correctly
so rad. thumbs up
Makes me need to get my Revo up and going again.
You guys should make some weighted buoys and do some laps!! That would be awesome to see these boats on a water course!! A+ vids nice work.
that's a really Kick-Ass boat and the engine kicks ass too but I find it really hard to believe that it has seven and a half horsepower come on
Very impressive but no way I hell is that producing 7hp. Where are people getting these nUmbers?
Aussie Jules Wiener ah, no, 6-7 hp is correct. Zenoah 26cc
Elijah Hayes lotto numbers lol
@@Fluterra 90cc is approximately 3hp
Im getting one of these All original Needs some fiberglass work. But well worth the price I'm getting it for. Awesome vids bro. Thanks
Swwwweeeet !! Love it. Very cool Boat.
Very nice.

THAT is so koooool....
Sounds like my brush cutter.
It needs an expansion chamber exhaust with a tune asap!! Slowest zenoah ever they use these things on Go-Peds and go 35mph
It did have one, just needs a better one, one tuned for that engine
I just acquired the same boat but it's a different color could you give me any info on the maker?
Good one bro.keep it up.
Sounds like a tennis commentator
Nice! If you don't have all the cool toys, then another guy on your channel have it. Awesome boat
have you done a side by side lipo test ? curious to see the numbers nice video
I luv fast boats
I would find it more exciting operating that boat in off the coast line at the ocean.
cool!
Twice the power of my scooter 😂
And Twice the Power of a Hoveround🤑
Needs clutch plus electric start fitting makes life a lot easy to operate.but great run matey well driven
Its stuck to the water like velcro.. trim off some of the rudder and tilt it back a little. It will pick up nose and unstick it..
I love it !

You are totally wrong matey boy! You not heard that lipo battery are rechargable!
THE KING BABY🤙🏻
So what happens if it gets stuck in the middle of the lake? How do you retrieve it? Never owned a boat so that's why I'm asking
You get a cheap "rescue boat" so pretty much you buy another cheap boat that can rescue your old/good one.
My uncle has 2002 model IDK if it will compete with new ones
You guys make some AWESOME content +RCSparks Studio, definitely earned a sub from me. I just purchase an Axial Racing Yeti SCORE trophy truck as my entry into the RC world. Cant wait to start doing custom stuff.
love your channel but that's not the hp u say...
Would love to know how you got 120cc/7.4hp out of a 26cc engine what modes have you done!!! ??

Imagine running over great Whites during shark week! Them breaching after that.
very nice, but I also have a few good movie! !!
Could you do a vid of the mini black jack 9 and mini impulse 9
if you want a rare occurrence i'd be happy to show you my 1930's lap cat prather with a 7cc 70% nitro outboard that does 70mph with out even thinking.
Interesting that my 12 ft rib went this fast with an 8hp lol
awesome boat medic , did you ever get ur lids from the other boats outta the lake yet ?
awesome
