My walking foot started squeaking again after the thorough oiling following your instructions but looked up the TH-cam tutorial again and saw this one on the way and tried it. The Burt's Bees did the trick. Thanks so much.
Thank you thank you thank you!! I couldn’t get the squeaking to stop no matter what I did - this worked perfectly!!!
Thank you! I've been trying to figure out why my walking foot squeaks after I've oiled it!
Glad I could help!

Happy to help!p
Excellent idea!
Thank you! Cheers!
As a walking foot rookie, I’m curious why you used the walking foot to make curtains.
Thanks for all your great content, really helpful!
Don't know their particular situation, but curtains are often made from flimsy, slippery fabric and a walking foot helps to control the feed - so that could be why they were using it :)
I wanted the fabric to feed more evenly than the regular foot was performing.
It might be easier to put chapstick in the needle clamp
Good idea
Have you thought about a small rubber gasket to put on the screw beforehand or would that be too tight?
Rubber would not help it would have to be nylon sleeve and a perfect fit but that’s a thought for a new invention thanks
