Great work. Loved the explanation and presentation as well. 🥰 Points to note: 1. Arctic 280's are one of the best you can get, period. however the mount that has the tubes on the top of the radiator is something I would not recommend because in time any radiator will have some kind of water loss and it will cause issues in the long run (gamers nexus has a detailed video on this). 2. I can understand that you are placing the fans inside the radiators for aesthetic purposes, however in my experience (not on montec fans btw) Pull config can only match push maybe after 2000 rpms, so for lower RPMs I'ld mount the fans pushing through the rads and not pull. @@KleoYanYes Soo compared to my Lian li Air mini where i had a radeon 7900xt sapphire pulse and a ryzen 7900x with a arctic 240, i now have a setup With almost Twice as many case fans aswell. and All of the case fans are bequiet 3x Slient wings 4 and 2 silent wings 3. and ive swapped my Grapich Card to a Radeon 7900xtx sapphire pulse as i got it for the the same price that i bought my 7900xt for. my 7900x is now using a Be quiet Silent loop with 2 Silent wings 3 fans on it. The 7900xtx is pushing 100w more and is currently not undervolted, but i am using Radeon chill in most games and still it pulls around 300w. and has peaks in full useage at about 375w, which is mind boggling as my 7900xt usually pulled around 280w and peaked at 320w. So alot more heat is being dumped into the case in gaming, which is not that good for my 7900x temps as i suspect most of the heat is going there, but ive resorted to undervolting and tuning power and thermal limits on it, so it has dropped from peak 85c down to about 75-80c in full load gaming. my GPU barely passes 75 hotspot. it got two 140 Silent wings 3 bellow it pumping up air and i got two 140 Silent wings 4 in the side intake at barely audible for extra air intake, and one air exaust in the back a 120 silent wing. im considering if i should let the back fan pump in some more air, but i doubt it would do any good, and i dont think moving the AIO to the side mounting is a good idea, but everything apart from the CPU and the AIO is getting hot. i just think i need to power limit the GPU down to 300w.
Did you try a push-pull 280 leaving the stock Arctic fans as intake on back-side of case? Curious if that drops temps even further since fans would go to waste otherwise.
Hi Travis Tucker, welomce back. Yup I did, they perform much better on P12 ARGB alone without push pull configuration. with push pull it drops about 2 to 3 degrees.
Hi Kleo Thanks for the great review! quick question : did you face any problem in installing the 280mm rad? I am planning on using Kraken 280mm rad on the side(not on the bracket) and 2 140mm fans on the front, will this work?
Hi SAIF ADAILH, do pardon me as I missed your comments. Yes I did with a GA II 280 LCD but I need to have it push pull as I can''t fit the radiator directly to the side fan tray and I will need to mount my GPU Vertically just to clear space. As for the Kraken 280mm, I do not have a unit to test it.. so sorry about it. I have two questions 1. Is this case good enough to keep cool a 14900k using an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm and a RTX 4080 Super under load? 2. If I use an EATX motherboard like MSI Z790 Ace Max on this case, will the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm interfere with the motherboard heatsink? Your response will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Hi Shahriar Haque Asif, welcome to my channel. This case is good enough to cool your components and you can fit the liquid freezer II 360 with the E-ATX motherboard without issues.
I'm... shocked :D Two movies with the most in depth reviews I've ever seen in the internet :D You should be hired full time on TH-cam and make millions every month :D Did you measure the distance from front mounted plate to front glass? I wonder if I can fit 360 rad at bottom with flat pump-res on front, 240 rad on side and 360 on top :D
Hi Marcin, welcome to my channel. if you are measuring the tray depth to the front mesh cover, it's at 40mm. if you are measuring the tray where the 25mm fans touches the tip of the tray to the tip of the front mesh, it will be at 15mm. hope that make sense.. once again thank you for your valuable feedback and question. All the best with your build too.
KleoYan, great work! To be honest for the PSU clearance part, i was already thinking of removing that back plate, i do not use extra ssd or planning of using extra fans, and was thinking it could instead give slightly more clearance for the intake airflow, by removing that plate😄 Also Would you say the montech fans are just decent for performance? or actually of good performance and rgb quality overall?Would it work fine to use like all lian li fans with the montech pre installed fan hub? Personally i still think having a 360 aio at the top, is for me the most visually pleasing, and using the standard Montech fan configuration out of the box, seems to be overall well balanced! So intake side, bottom intake, back exhaust, top exhaust😀
Hi BergDK, welcome back and to answer all your questions. Q1) Also Would you say the montech fans are just decent for performance? or actually of good performance and rgb quality overall?Would it work fine to use like all lian li fans with the montech pre installed fan hub? A1) Montech fans are decent. though they might not perform extremely well but they are quiet. the argb defusion is good. I would not advise you to use the lian li uni fans on this montech hub, best if you use uni fans, it is to use it's own controller/hub. there are fan profile and ampere profile on those fans. more power hunger. Q1) Personally i still think having a 360 aio at the top, is for me the most visually pleasing, and using the standard Montech fan configuration out of the box, seems to be overall well balanced! So intake side, bottom intake, back exhaust, top exhaust A2) Yes if you know how to tweak your processor and to do some minor adjustment on your fan curve for these Montech fans, you will be fine.

So I have the same sag holder from Asus TUF 7900xtx If i put it of the mid of 2 and 3 fans down of the gpu will stay good? :D I plan to buy this pc case but worry so much about my sag on GPU becouse TUF 7900xtx is so big gpu ? ( sorry for my bad english) xD
Some data point is missing, but I don't know what. :( A1 has the best CPU & GPU clocks, just like E1, but it doesn't have the lower temperatures of B3, C1 and D3. D3 has the best overall temperatures aside from the CPU, but doesn't have a great CPU temp and clocks, and does have a lower GPU temp and the highest clocks. I cannot see the causations between temps and speeds of the CPU and GPU. What isn't being tracked that might possibly show the real causation? Is it just that there isn't a temperature sensor somewhere that is actually important for the bus speed somewhere specific? Is the CPU throttling the GPU, or vice versus? What's going on? I've seen similar strange results in my own testing and I am baffled. I don't lock things down in BIOS, but I know you do, right? So confused! To put it another way, the temperatures of A1 and E1 are fairly different, yet the CPU & GPU clock speeds are identical. What is causing that? Not any temperatures that you or I track. I'm baffled. Do you have any ideas what the cause is?
Hi The PC Expert Amateur, welcome back, I have stated clearly that I am concious of not allowing my processor to overheat, which I will need it for other content. as for the temperature which you do not get. I advise you to completely go through this content. If you still do not understand, I am so sorry to say that my English speaking is bad. Hi there, after watching your video i have a question, I'm planning to build my PC and I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on the case, so I'd like to know from your personal experience, if a case with a front side fan is better than a case with a side fan overall?
Hi RiadhZ, welcome to my channel. This case is build unique. For me I have done a 280 rad at the side. Push pull configuration to retain the fish tank look www.reddit.com/r/MontechPC/s/4yge4Q6vjF the curve of the glass helps a lot to push air into the case. You can choose either way to mount your fans and both are as good. Personally I prefer to place the fans at the side as intake.
I have a question, where did you plug ur fan hub into? I plugged my 3 pin into the 5v, rgb and the 4 pin into the 12v grb, my bios is not recognising them, any fixes?
Hi Sriman Arya, welcome to my channel. By default before you plug anyting to the Case Fan/ARGB Hub. take note that there are three cables that are on it. 1) a 4pin pwm cable 2) a 3pin 5v argb connector 3) a sata cable plug 1) to motherboard fan header and take note of the header (example CPU_FAN) plug 2) to motherboard 3pin 5v argb header plug 3) to your PSU sata cable once you've done the above, plug your fans argb and pwm to the hub. you can now see your fan readings in UEFI under CPU_FAN and argb on the argb motherboard header.
@@namirs9732 ok. maybe watch this unofficial content which I have explain to my peers at a forum. The fan/argb hub in this content works the same as the Montech pro fan/argb hub. th-cam.com/video/wEGYjYPGN6M/w-d-xo.html Infact I call it a controller and this is how I set up my system in this case to have total control of all the fan set rpm. Side fan tray - my 280 Liquid AIO with push pull configuration 4 x 140mm fans to the fan/argb hub and plug the pwm 4pin from the hub to CPU_FAN 1 Top fans (3 x 120mm) - Exhaust, plug to Cha_Fan 2 Bottom fans (3 x 120mm) - Intake, plug to Cha_Fan 5 Rear fan (1 x 120mm) - Exhaust, plug to Cha_Fan 1 For my AIO which the fans are plug to the hub as I wanted the drawing power of the 4 x 140mm fans to be getting sufficient power from the PSU direct but able to control the PWM as it's plug to CPU_FAN as for the Top, Bottom and Rear, Since the sets are plug into the individual fan headers on the motherboard, I can control the PWM curve separately. example top to run at 800rpm min , bottom to run at 1000rpm min and rear at 1400rpm min. as for all the argbs, since using the case button, I have connect all the fans to the hub directly.
@@KleoYan Sorry sir, I am very new to the pc building scene, are there 2 cables off of each fan? I understand they are daisy chained, so I would only need one to plug into the slots, but what should I plug in? I would assume I need to plug in the connectors on the bottom of the hub…
@@namirs9732 the fans itself have a 4 pin and 3 pin. 4 pin is to drive your fan to spin, 3pin is to drive the ARGB effects. You can daisy chained them accordingly and plug to their respective headers on the motherboard. I have shared a video on content on my previous message. Kindly watch and understand how things work first. Thank you.
So overall, is this casing good for us singaporeans (hot country) or is there another recommendation for dual chamber casing? The only thing I do not like about Lian Li is the USB is at the bottom. (I have no space, my PC has to be under the table.)
Hi derek cheong, this case is good and if you use Montech AX or RX fans, you will need to tone down the power limit and to do offset, as I have illustrated here. Else if you use other fans like what I did, that is to use P12 ARGB and P14 ARGB from Arctic, they perform much better. I can get my CPU to 76 Degrees with the settings I have set here.
@@KleoYan So the fans that came in the case is no good as in hotter? and its recommended to buy the case without the fans and put in your own fans? My current rig has bequiet Silent Wings 3 fans, I planning to upgrade once the rtx 4080 super is out. Is arctic fans better than bequiet fans? Would be happy if you can answer this questions.
@@kof2 as mentioned to you. correct, if you use the montech fans, you need to tone down but still usable. but if you want better temp, get better fans which will be above 1600 rpm. The choice is yours.

Brosef, did u place the two fans u removed from the side for the 280 AIO to the top? Was wondering where the airflow up top was coming from?
Hi Kaminosami, welcome back, for this test, if it's of the top (not with the AIO), I have use 3 x 120mm fans and not 140mm fans. hope that helps.
Thank you for the tests, im going with F1. but im going to place my 280 IO on top i think.
hi Mercurio, welcome to my channel. That's good, all the best with your build too and do share with us your findings, thank you 😉
@@KleoYanYes Soo compared to my Lian li Air mini where i had a radeon 7900xt sapphire pulse and a ryzen 7900x with a arctic 240, i now have a setup With almost Twice as many case fans aswell. and All of the case fans are bequiet 3x Slient wings 4 and 2 silent wings 3. and ive swapped my Grapich Card to a Radeon 7900xtx sapphire pulse as i got it for the the same price that i bought my 7900xt for. my 7900x is now using a Be quiet Silent loop with 2 Silent wings 3 fans on it.
One good looking case!
Hi Nico, welcome back and thank you for the compliment, it's not fully done up yet hahaha.
Hi Kleo
Thanks for the great review!
quick question : did you face any problem in installing the 280mm rad?
I am planning on using Kraken 280mm rad on the side(not on the bracket) and 2 140mm fans on the front, will this work?
Hi SAIF ADAILH, do pardon me as I missed your comments. Yes I did with a GA II 280 LCD but I need to have it push pull as I can''t fit the radiator directly to the side fan tray and I will need to mount my GPU Vertically just to clear space. As for the Kraken 280mm, I do not have a unit to test it.. so sorry about it. By the way this was my final build www.reddit.com/r/MontechPC/comments/19esupr/project_montech_king95_pro_sonic_the_hedgehog/
@@KleoYan thanks for the reply!
Do you recommend the king or lian li 216, I care about noise and temps mainly
@@saifadailh2456 I will go for king 95 pro. As those AX or RX fans that comes with the case is quiet. Does perform if you plan the airflow properly. For Lancool 216 is good too but the front fans are abit noisier.
I have two questions
@@KleoYan Thank you for your response.

Did you measure the distance from front mounted plate to front glass? I wonder if I can fit 360 rad at bottom with flat pump-res on front, 240 rad on side and 360 on top :D
Hi Marcin, welcome to my channel. if you are measuring the tray depth to the front mesh cover, it's at 40mm. if you are measuring the tray where the 25mm fans touches the tip of the tray to the tip of the front mesh, it will be at 15mm. hope that make sense.. once again thank you for your valuable feedback and question. All the best with your build too.
@@KleoYan D5 pump height in flat res is 46mm, damn. My whole plan has just been blown up haha :D
@@ML_EU so sorry to hear that.
KleoYan, great work! To be honest for the PSU clearance part, i was already thinking of removing that back plate, i do not use extra ssd or planning of using extra fans, and was thinking it could instead give slightly more clearance for the intake airflow, by removing that plate😄
Also Would you say the montech fans are just decent for performance? or actually of good performance and rgb quality overall?Would it work fine to use like all lian li fans with the montech pre installed fan hub?

A2) Yes if you know how to tweak your processor and to do some minor adjustment on your fan curve for these Montech fans, you will be fine.

HiMello MD, welcome to my channel. Yes you can control the PWM of the fans using your motherboard utitlity, same applies to the argb.
You know can take out glass from the front for much better results the glass is just for show a pc gamer just use a mesh.
Hi Abraham A, welcome to my channel. Yup you can do that, this case have the capability to let you cool the way you want it. lots of configuration. Thank you for your valuable feedback.
I enjoy the fish bowl look so im def keeping the front glass. But when summer hits i can definitely see myself swapping it for the mesh panel. Balanced as all things should be.

Hello Antonio, welcome to my channel. Yes is all good. It depends how you place the support stick.
Maybe you can request this case from Montech and to conduct your own testing. Do up a content and share it with us.
Do pardon me as I will stop replying. I have tried my best to explain on this other content th-cam.com/video/ca2zGSQvWog/w-d-xo.htmlsi=W13cTjsAl0PPwnPs but failed to let you comprehend what I've typed.
1) a 4pin pwm cable
2) a 3pin 5v argb connector
3) a sata cable
plug 1) to motherboard fan header and take note of the header (example CPU_FAN)
plug 2) to motherboard 3pin 5v argb header
plug 3) to your PSU sata cable
once you've done the above, plug your fans argb and pwm to the hub.
you can now see your fan readings in UEFI under CPU_FAN and argb on the argb motherboard header.
Ok, but can I set it to chassis fan? Also won’t all of them move at once? I want to get the exhaust fan to push more than intakes
Side fan tray - my 280 Liquid AIO with push pull configuration
4 x 140mm fans to the fan/argb hub and plug the pwm 4pin from the hub to CPU_FAN 1
Top fans (3 x 120mm) - Exhaust, plug to Cha_Fan 2
Bottom fans (3 x 120mm) - Intake, plug to Cha_Fan 5
Rear fan (1 x 120mm) - Exhaust, plug to Cha_Fan 1
For my AIO which the fans are plug to the hub as I wanted the drawing power of the 4 x 140mm fans to be getting sufficient power from the PSU direct but able to control the PWM as it's plug to CPU_FAN
as for the Top, Bottom and Rear, Since the sets are plug into the individual fan headers on the motherboard, I can control the PWM curve separately. example top to run at 800rpm min , bottom to run at 1000rpm min and rear at 1400rpm min.
as for all the argbs, since using the case button, I have connect all the fans to the hub directly.
What if side aio + 2 140mm mesh?
@@yunvalenzuela hi and welcome. You can only swivel the side tray either to front or side. You can’t have both side 240 and front 2 x 140mm
@@KleoYanOhhhhhh, thank you! Subbed!

Is there a reason you didn't use the bottom 3x120s as an exhaust and the top as intakes?
Hi dan tosh, welcome to my channel. cool air raise from below.. hot air goes up.
