If only there was some way to conceal our faces while committing crimes 😂 Sorry guys, just kidding. This show is awesome and this episode was intense. Holy shit that was a close call 😢 Caltrops, ball bearings and most importantly, **Large Sacks** would also come in handy. You never know when you might get the opportunity to put something valuable in a sack and walk away with it. I would also add broad brimmed hats for fashion, comfort, and concealment
The real downfall of this series (and all of Neal’s work) is he is not actually an ally of the party as GM nor is he interested in using his vast powers of imagination and knowledge of the worlds he builds and rules to tell good stories. He really only thinks of himself as an advocate for friction between his world (which he loves far more than the play or the audience enjoying the story) and the actions of the party. It’s not only annoying (his choice, whatever) it allows no momentum. It’s like a constant ‘well, actually’ when the players are trying to create a story. IF he just realized his persnicketiness and constant need to be ‘real’ (Which is actually just surmising anyway because i’s make believe on the whole) are a hindrance to the story, he might be an aid and ally of the process to make a good story. Instead it’s just a constant itching and scratching between the party and their intent and his only aim being to stymy them.
ya i agree and its usually how most of his campaigns end. It works really well in a more linear story line but in a more sandboxy style which ever since they left Stromheim its felt that way, it tends to just feel frustrating from a viewers perspective. But ive been watching him for years and i think he's a good enough gm to at least acknowledge this in his mind. TOS i think was a great example of a amazing campaign because they had so many tools to solve problems because they were so high level and allowed the players to get really creative. But because this campaign is more low level and "realistic" the toolset of the players is not enough to lead to crazy plans. Not that this campaign hasn't been entertaining but it could be even better.
Go watch tombs of scoria, and watch a show where you pretty much knew without a doubt they would be successful and Koibu basically had to bend the rules to give the brothers ultimate power to defeat a dragon. There was forced friction put into the campaign to make it interesting, but the more powerful the brothers became, the more crazy unbelievable way they used their magic items, high level, and whatever else to dance through the hurdles, it unfortunately got harder to watch the more it progressed because it got to a point that Koibu could not kill his heroes but also no matter what he threw at them, they undercut the challenge. In conclusion sometimes the heroes fail, sometimes not everything goes well and that has been what made this campaign more interesting than killing a dragon. This campaigns third episode has these guys tied up in their own house and getting everything stolen from them. They easily could have died, it was their return from these tough situations that makes good entertainment. Koibu is trying his damnedest to keep this careful balance between tpk and invincible heroes. Let it cook bro.
They are very lucky that Neal forgot about the poison. Lol
These guys tried to be thieves in a town where they probably already own the most expensive items
reverse heist 🤣

Oh man they got hosed. Those notes better be worth something. Worst part is that the big chest likely was full of silver and a few gold....

If she was smart she probably would have left when the alarms started going off. But yeah she's probably dead if she just sat around.
