I was seriously looking forward to getting this and just had an email from amazon UK saying delivery date has changed to the 18th November now. I don't think I'm gonna get this beautiful box set
It’s the best time to be a physical media collector. Hopefully they give Arrow the rights to a 4K box set of the sequels. Some hope now that Arrow has just announced the rest of the New Line Friday the 13th films (Jason Goes to Hell etc.). One of my favourites of all-time just received an announcement, Polankski’s The Tenant… and what a beauty it is!
Awesome, it’s one of my absolute faves. I’m still waiting for my copy to ship. I can’t wait to see the Unrated cut, 8 seconds more of unrated cut is major difference for horror films, seeing a kill for one second longer really enhances the brutality. the unrated cut shows Tina on ceiling falling on the bed you see the blood splatter off bed, on theatrical cut they don’t show her land on bed and blood splatter. and I think a few seconds more of Nancy’s reaction, can’t remember the rest but this version has only ever been available on VHS. so glad the 4k has the unrated cut of a classic film, it’s pretty rare to see unrateds of old movies.
@@skincrawlers2510Does the 4K release have the Scene with Glen in his Bed he sinks in his bed then the blood hits the ceiling when his Mom comes in his room then Glen pops back up on his bed
I wish I'd preordered the Special Edition. The regular steelbook is still available but I'll just pick up the regular edition of this in HMV on Monday. Not watched it in years so it will be a treat to see it in 4k.
Looks fantastic after watching your unboxing video 👍🏻👍🏻 can’t wait for my copy to arrive. Pre-ordered back in May off HMV. Glad to hear the 4K transfer is good.
Sorry to jump in here but I ordered mine from HMV in May as well and I've heard nothing about it! HMV orders usually arrive really early for me but this has got me worried! 😳
I’m normally a HMV buyer hopefully you’ll hear something soon. I’ve noticed lately that deliveries from them have been slightly later than usual. That’s been the case with my orders.
@@skincrawlers2510 Hope so too. Oh right, maybe I've just been lucky so far and this is the beginning of my late deliveries 😣 I can't order from Amazon because they all arrive damaged and Zavvi if I ever have a problem it's like talking to a bloody brick wall!
They could scarcely have made it look more like it came with a hardcover landscape formatted book in the product images and could very easily have conveyed instead that it is just a booklet. That is bulls hit!
It would have been good if it was a proper book with text as well as the pictures. It’s a decent little booklet still I agree that they could have specified the contents of the set better. The studio releases don’t explain what’s in their set quite like boutique labels do.
@@skincrawlers2510 They not only didn't explain - they outright undeniably bait-and-switched the thing, as the book/booklet in the images they released (which they only did months after the initial announcement in the first place, presumably to convey accurately what the set would include) is in landscape format whereas the one it actually comes with is, of course, oblong portrait-formatted.
I really like the Nightmare On Elm Street series. I have the complete movie series on blu-ray.
It’s a fantastic set to have! I hope we get an amazing 4K boxset at some point.

@@bryanrogers8341 There will be more editions of this movie on 4K at some point. The Steelbook without the box looks pretty good.

Can’t wait for those Friday Arrow releases. I ordered the Vinegar Syndrome 4K set for The Tenant which I’m upgrading from the Scream Factory Blu-ray.

I thought there was extra for Tina’s kill because I really did feel like that kill was much more gorier and horrific. It looked nasty in glorious 4K.

It was like watching it for the first time again. Standard release will be all good as it is still the same 4K disk.

I liked the transfer it’s probably not perfect for everyone but still looks crisp and clear.

Excellent review bud, the unrated edition has 8 seconds only of extra blood 😅
I didn’t think it was much, worth it though.
Nice edition but the reverse artwork on the steelbook is hardly regonizble lol just weird 😮😅,
Some weird little doodle 😂
I’m sure it looks great as long as they haven’t wiped the film grain
There’s grain intact 👍
