    I cannot thank you enough for this video!!! I have been trying this method since morning but in all videos it shows that the ring comes of in one pull, but this one works multiple times on finger gradually taking it off which is the smartest. I am so happy, you literally saved me. God bless you!

      Same here, i was able to do it using your method. Every other video made it look like it should do in one attempt and it was not working for me. Doing it multiple times like this video saved me from a trip to the doctor. Thank u so much.

    Thanks so much for this video. My father is dying in the hospital tonight, and is experiencing very bad edema. My mother hadn’t thought to remove his wedding ring. (They just had their 57th anniversary and have been together since they were 11 years old.) I had used this trick before for myself but had to look it up again. I knew my mom always carries dental floss in her purse (she’s an eternal Girl Scout), and told the nurse about this trick. She had never heard of it,so we pulled up this video and were able to remove his ring! We were concerned because his ring was more than 1/2 inch wide (it’s a very unique and sturdy ring). I’m so glad we were able to get it off at all, as there is no way it could’ve even been cut off it is so thick, and it’s such a special ring, as my mother bought it for him at a craft fair in the early 70’s. We left the roll of dental floss at the nurse’s station with a link to this video taped to it. The Hospice nurses were all excited to learn how to do this. Thank you so much!

      You are so welcome! Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear about your father being ill but I am moved that I played a small part in helping to alleviate suffering. My prayers for you and your family. Another moment where TH-cam proves it is incredible for educating and finding solutions!

    Brilliant! The idea of progressively compressing the oedema in the finger makes all the difference. Thank you so much

    All the other videos I've seen using dental floss have been with rings not as stuck as mine, They've shown rings coming off with just one round of tying and unwinding. That didn't work for me, so I kept searching for a way to get my ring off without cutting it off and found your video. Thanks to this video, I was able to do it all on my own in just 3 minutes. My ring wasn't tight around my finger, but i have very large joints that have gotten larger because of a pregnancy weight gain, and now I had to take my ring off before surgery this week. Thos has stressed me out for months and even haunted me in my sleep, and you made it so easy. Thank you so much!

    My 18ct wedding ring had to be cut off in the Accident and Emergency Department after I had an accident. The medical staff tried to remove the ring unsuccessfully with soap and water but it was necessary to cut it off as the finger became extremely swollen and discoloured.The jeweller had to insert a piece of gold for the repair as the repeated attempts to cut the ring off left the edges quite damaged.

    • @RobertoMikiMD
      @RobertoMikiMD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damage to rings is not unusual but the alternative of losing a finger makes it justifiable. The technique shown here is sometimes difficult to perform in the hustle and bustle of an ER. Hopefully, more people and physicians will see this technique and adopt it.

    Dan tangan lansung angkat ke atas posisi jari lurus ? Biarkan tangan posisi ke atas , 5 - 10 menit
    Kemudian di beri pelumas,,dan tangan tetap posisi di atas jari jari tetap lurus?
