I agree on not washing the stencils. I’ve had it laying on top of a piece of paper after just setting it down and been inspired by the color on the stencil over that particular paper!
When I made my first masks a month or so ago, they kept sticking to the paint, so I left the really thin ones in there. Really liked it! Just very thin, very old stencil plastic. Hate to say it, but just bought some on Temu in the icing department. Very very similar. I bought brick wall, stone and lines.
The texture plates. Just the same looking as the Michaels texture plates. Haven’t even used them yet. I’m getting there. Still learning and practicing. Your help has been invaluable.
That’s what I found on Temu. Good grief. I’m behaving as if we’re having a back and forth. Just bought some texture plates in Temu. Couldn’t help myself. But they appear to be the same.
Thank you Susan for a really useful video! Unfortunately I the Epakh deli paper isn’t sold by U.K. Amazon. I’ve wanting a recommendation for deli for some time. I enjoy watching your videos 😊
Thanks for this. I have used ModPodge and it's a nice fluid consistency but it's quite sticky, sticks to my fingers, gums up the paint brush. Gives a nice glossy finish. Just some input about the product.
I'll have to give it a try to see. The gel medium I use (Liquitex) dries very clear but also sticks to my fingers. Ruins a good manicure. LOL. I'm looking for something less pricey for a class I'll be teaching. Thanks for the feedback.
Hello! I'm from Brazil and I have trouble understanding some expressions. Would it be possible to add English subtitles? It would help a lot. Thank you for the great videos!❤
Thank you for the comments about deli paper. I have the pop-up boxed kind, and have had poor results with it. I have difficulty telling which side is waxed. Even if I do print on the unwaxed side, the paint flakes off if I brush it with gel medium. Since gel medium is my preferred adhesive, I have been disappointed. I'll gladly try this type!
I can not stand the smell of Murphy's Oil Soap. I spray my brayer and stencils with Dawn Power Wash and the paint will come off in a few minutes. I assume because it is meant to losen baked on food. It also gets stains out of clothes.

Thank you, Susan, for taking the time. I'm going to listen to this several times. 💛
You’re welcome. Glad it was helpful!

Enjoyed this very much!

A journal, whether a written journal or an art journal is a way of expressing yourself!!
I also keep a written journal. And enjoy looking back on that as well. Expressing yourself, yes. But looking back at your growth is very powerful.

I think you will love it.
Try cutting it with a wood burner. Draw your shape and it should cut right through it.

I've never tried that before. The small of Murphy's Oil soap doesn't bother me for some reason.
