I put Liverpool's season falling apart a sliding doors moment when Klopp played a strong team in the Europa League c S Prague with the tie done and dusted at 5-1 after the first (away) leg. Under 3 days later was the FA Cup tie v M Utd which always had a chance of extra-time and was a huge game for M Utd - momentum after losing that game seemed to caused a confidence-draining issue amongst the team.

ratcliffe is not stupid, he knows how bad things are at Utd, everybody does and he still wanted to buy into it so doubt he regrets it and no matter how bad they are they are still talked about more than any other club in this country.
Rashford burst onto the scene and in that half season he scored 8 as a starter in 18 games.
Then in 3 full years in and out of the first team which was done by Jose to keep him hungry he got a good gradual growth in goals, including the season Jose left and ole came in he got 15 goals. Then was the time to ask questions if he could do it starting week in week out.
Rashford went on to have 20+ goals 3 times out of 5 following that point, to now. By my count that’s more than 2 good years in 5 dumbfuck.
Considering for some of those years he was a good young player who was looked after games wise, there was very consistent growth for most of those years until the stinker with ragnick.
They talk about having an influence in the dressing room, those lads had the best possible influence in Ronaldo and they allowed him to leave, how could the players let that happen, it makes you believe more and more that Ten hag got rid of him to win the dressing room because when he left they all started playing. If Ronaldo can’t influence you to be an elite pro there’s no manager in the world that can make you a better pro and this is why nobody will ever change United until United change the personnel within the squad. The players have been and will continue to be the problem!!! I bet none of them were watching his regime or seeing how he looked after himself or trying to get advice because most of them probably believe they are good enough or that they don’t really care enough to get anywhere near his level. We have a team of talented players who are poor professionals
Liverpools kid didn't turn up for the Cup final, Chelsea created about 5 clear cut chances and missed them all. Yee were absolutely blessed to win it. Close to winning the quadruple tho 🤣🤣
Slot has big shoes to fill but jurgens time at liverpool has not been all wine and roses. He had 2 disastrous seasons. One straight after winning the epl. The first few years fans were getting worried that liverpool were always the bridesmaid never the bride. And this season fizzled out after getting good results earlier in the season but not playing all that well. Slot has a good basis to build on but no unreasonably high expectations to fulfill.
6 in 7 years is amazing as well as 4 in a row but United and Liverpool did 7 in 9 at one point at their best, if you count Year 1 Pep its 6 in 8 years and he might get 7 in 9 then walk so equalling those 2

In terms of English football they’re the only comparable club to Real Madrid. Liverpool have 6 champions leagues/european cups that’s the same as Chelsea, man United, City, spurs and Newcastle combined. Football heritage

The league cup is basically pointless, most teams play their reserves until the final, Klopp even played a lot of youth in the final, that shows what he thinks of the comp. I remember when Graham was Liverpool manager!!! Just because your a great player doesn't mean you'll become a great manager. Why wouldn't Slot be successful. The players need to completely switch on again to new ways but fundermentally Slot plays a very similar way. I'm positive because of the clubs structure, the recruitment.

How can they question the changes that have been implemented or flagged by Ratcliffe? He is making all the right moves to revamp the club from the top down, which is where you need to start to make cultural changes. United has been the worst run club in world football and he has (or is in the process of) replaced all the key personnel running the football department. I expect ETH will be next and then the player clear out will start. I'm very pleased with what I've seen and heard so far.
