I have this exact car, same year, same trim, same options, same color. I absolutely love it! The orange perks you up during the gloomy winter months, and looks great in the summer sun. I love all the features it has, especially the absolutely MASSIVE sunroof. Overall, this car is very well made considering how low it is priced. I want to keep this car for as long as I can.
Thanks for a good comprehensive review. I bought the LT model with the more powerful motor. The 2.0lt turbo is 252 HP, and I think is more suited for a vehicle of this weight. The only thing that I don't like about it is the auto stop motor. The bypass for that is to downshift into low, but you can also play around with the way you brake to get around it. I am disappointed that Chevrolet didn't put an on off switch for it, like most other car manufacturers have.
Just bought the 2018 in Candy Apple Red. Not into the brown/orange color personally, but love the vehicle. Come from life long family of GM employee's (not myself though!). Also been a lifetime GM owner of many vehicles over 30 years & I have never had any issue's or family member's. Most of us buy new at least every 3-5yrs., so buying used has never been our thing, but I still own a 2004 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport Coupe with 46,000 original miles now in Feb. 2019!! Absolutely no issues with it so far!! It was a purchase for when I lost my job & could afford the $200 mo. payment while unemployed for 6 months. For a Cavy, it has the power windows, sunroof, cruise, power mirrors, XM radio, but that's about it. The main things people use most often. Great little car! It's a keeper. With all the family discounts & trade-ins, I always got better deals buying than leasing. Did that once & that was the one I had to turn in as to buying the Cavy without a job. Had to get my Mother to co-sign, but she knew I could have paid for outright, but with New job, the dealer didn't want to give any money for it. I also moved to another state & not my old Dealer, so I kept the thing.
We just bought an 18 LT. We got a pretty good deal $27K out the door, plus they will tint my windows of my Silverado & remove a dent at their cost. We were at the dealership until 11pm haggling.
Great review, Tyler! I really enjoy how you keep your reviews very detailed, while still remaining concise! 😃 The Equinox sure does seem like a pretty solid entry in the Compact Utility Vehicle segment! It appears to be very spacious, and offer quite a bit technology for your money! Keep up the great work, N&T Auto Reviews! 👍👊 I cannot wait until I can get my hands on one of these CUV's to review, too! 😉 -DriveAndBeDriven 🚘 "The Quest To Record The Best!"
Three things will take the Equinox from a fine decent car, and to a really good car. And here's the thing, they're all easy fixes, so I hope Chevy listens to these TH-cam posts. First, the front seat bottom cushion. It needs to be longer, wider, and more squared off at the corners instead of rounded. Second, the infotainment screen should be tilted down and more towards the driver. Third, Chevy really needs to address the phone bluetooth issue. The hands free connection is way too slow, compared to the Ford Sync, Nissan, and Hyundai. The blue tooth issues I experienced, was from three different phones. Two Androids, and an iPhone. All three of those phones worked just fine on the above mentioned vehicles while driving hands free. The Chevy Mylink, had a connection delay on all three phones while doing hands free calling. I'm not talking about pairing the phones, that was seamless. It was slow connection issues using hands free. You go to make the call, the person you're calling, answers the phone, and you can hear them just fine, but it took anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds for them to hear you when you speak. It's 2020 Chevy, you can fix these items quite easily and inexpensively. Good day.
+TJC450 They sure are! I'm waiting for the Bolt now. It's weird because I happened to go by a Chevy dealer while I was in Mass which is only the next state over from us, and they had a Bolt right out front.
+TJC450 Yeah. I'll have to ask. I actually saw an Equinox when I went to a hockey game in the middle of January in a parking garage. It was pretty neat to see like a pre production car out in the wild.
there's alot of places that get snow. obviously not in the summer, and since that vehicle was brand new and it didn't have a price on it means he recorded it back in the winter time. between December-February, and even when it hits spring in march in the northern states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and others you'll still get some snow here and there. northern states take awhile to threw seasonal climate change.
they don't need premium gas it's not required, these turbos aren't for built for racing there built fuel economy. so you can put regular gas in it, i do it all the time in my 2016 Chevy Cruze 2LT.

Hello. Is your car 1.5 or 2 ?

My wife and I just got the 2019 on August 28, 2021. In blue 💙. The fuel tank this 14.9 gallons.
I have this one in the same color! It's a eye catcher!
Larry Armstrong nice have one in storm blue metallic but this car is very sensitive you get into an accident it’s going to have some damage
Mine is in the same color too, I love it. During the winter when everything is gloomy and grey, it brightens things up a bit.
Thank you definitely went above and beyond 👌🏻🥂

Wow 11pm that’s pretty impressive!

+DriveAndBeDriven Thanks for the continuation of positive feedback! I'm awaiting your next video.
This Chevy Equinox can go from 0 to 60 in a second
i liked the equinox, and each generation has unique look to them. i think i like this new body the most.
Good vid Tyler! Sweet color too
Love the color

I love it wish I could have one
Where is ECO button? Did they forget it?
Sounds awesome
Does it have good gas mileage
+Nicole Cooper Gas mileage is segmented towards the end of the video!
Love on star. But my truck don't have it ,mine is a 2002 Blazer 4x4.
Love the sun roof
That's awesome
Didn't know these were hitting dealers yet.
+TJC450 They sure are! I'm waiting for the Bolt now. It's weird because I happened to go by a Chevy dealer while I was in Mass which is only the next state over from us, and they had a Bolt right out front.
I also find it funny how the window sticker literally has nothing on it.
+TJC450 Yeah, I'm not sure why they do that. It seems like as soon as all new cars first hit the showroom, they have no info on the sticker.
You think they would have all that ready before the car hits production. Idk doesn't make sense. I'm sure someone has the answer somewhere.
+TJC450 Yeah. I'll have to ask. I actually saw an Equinox when I went to a hockey game in the middle of January in a parking garage. It was pretty neat to see like a pre production car out in the wild.
Where in the world is this video shot where there's snow on the ground. This car just hit dealers and it's summertime. (US)
+Jeff S This was shot in CT in either February or March. It was one of the first ones they got in!

The fuel economy is just counter acted by the fact the engines need Premium fuel. Premium fuel is expensive
This engine does not require premium fuel. The 2.0 Liter Turbo 4 does, this however is the 1.5.
+Jason Blankenship Yeah. I'm not sure if you need premium. My Cruze with the 1.4 turbo takes 87 octane.
they don't need premium gas it's not required, these turbos aren't for built for racing there built fuel economy. so you can put regular gas in it, i do it all the time in my 2016 Chevy Cruze 2LT.
Ooo nice car! I’ve got a 2015 LTZ. I use regular 87
I think the car needs a normal fuel with my respect
Can you export it to Algeria?!
+Simo Yvanswar That's a good question. I'll try to find an answer on that and I'll get back to you.
@@tydrives4846 It's been 2 years dude.
@@jeanlenor1858 😂😂
I have this year and it rides like a truck . I hope the engineers wake up and make a better suv.
That rock s
We don't know what our fuel economy is yet.
I really love chevys but FUCK, why do they keep putting 4 cylinders in the equinox, especially the 1.5
the equinox is a small crossover like the Rav4 and CRV is. they all have 4 cylinders, so it's not a big deal.
Does it have on star
+Nicole Cooper All new Chevys come with OnStar
Love the color
