    Did I understand correctly they do a TB skin test to check for TB?

    • @SamandViv
      @SamandViv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jessica - they did an X-ray for TB and only did a physical examination (just looking over the body) for different conditions as well. There was no TB skin test done.

    Hello Sam & Viv, thx for the video.. I have a quick question: how cumbersome was getting the police clearance certificate? and
    NVC took 4 months due to the pandemic? Should be within a month isn't it?
    Thx again guys.. wish u both many years of togetherness!

    • @SamandViv

      Police certificate of conduct should be issued within a month from time of processing. You’d be required to book an appointment using an online account, then to go to CPS Kampala to submit documents, do fingerprinting and wait for the documents. It was hard to get a day for an appointment because so many people boom it in advance.

    Thanks for this video, couldn't the medicals be done in uganda?

    • @SamandViv
      @SamandViv  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome. You can do most of your vaccinations from Uganda, but for the actual K1 interview you need a US approved medical center (like the one near the Nairobi embassy) as they request the signed off medical examination at the K1 interview.

    • @SamandViv
      @SamandViv  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know of any IOM medical centers in Uganda. The only choice was to do them in Nairobi since they are close to the embassy.

    How much was the medical bill in Nairobi, I just got my case number and I will be doing my interview in Nairobi

    • @SamandViv
      @SamandViv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, for the exam in Nairobi, we spent $216. Then another $82 for vaccinations. Though we made sure to get most vaccinations from Uganda before going to Kenya as we were told it would be cheaper from UG.

      Go to City Medicals in Kololo. Situated within vicinity of Acacia Mall. Also you can Google other locations that do Visa specific vaccinations within Kampala. There are quite a number.

      @@SamandViv as in I’ve failed to make the payments to the Embassy Nairobi, Am Currently in Uganda and you know with K1 visa one has to pay first, so as to schedule an appointment. The emails says Post Bank or M-pesa but no Bank details to make the payments.

      @SamandViv  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RozMalaika Do not go to the bank. I got no details either and they couldn’t help me. That particular day no one knew about visa payments unless if you go and ask. Go to a legitimate Mpesa agent. Like the ones that do mobile money transfers. They usually have a specific pin and can transfer directly to US visa office account. Get a screenshot of message when they have completed transacting on your behalf. You will also receive an email from US visa office stating they’ve received your payment. Have your case information with you when you go to pay. Also ask lots of questions to be sure that whoever does this knows what they are doing.
