Ah yes my favourite Galar Pokemon...Armarouge and Ceruledge
Maybe they're such a good fit they feel like they're from gen8 not 9😅😂
Wait the great war was talked about in kalos and it is base on france was there a nepolean in Pokemon?
A LOT of these look like Digimon to me
Solrock and Lunatone perfectly fit alola because they are literally sun and moon. imagine solrock being exclusive to sun while lunatone to moon
You make a very good point
I think a lot of Pokemon with cross gen evolutions (or look like they would be) give off this vibe. Roselia and Chimecho would have fit better in Sinnoh as the middle of their evolutionary chains, with Chimecho taking the place of Bronzor. Luvdisc could have been introduced in Unova as part of Alomomola's evolutionary line. Lickitung has been able to learn Rollout since Gen 2, and imo Lickilicky doesn't really feel out of place in Johto.
Preach! Rosellia was my least favourite gen 3 Pokémon but it was so frequently used by NPCs that it basically defined Hoenn. A bit like roses in real life
I liked the idea of Druddigon being introduced in Kanto as a more basic/gnarled dragon compared to Dragonite's charm. Wouldn't have been happy when Blizzard was at its nominally most accurate, but cool. Or Banette in Gen 2, with less competition and better physical prowess to contrast Gengar and Misdreavous. Makes for interesting muses.
Good idea.
Druddigon in Kanto? I thought he was more of Hoenn Pokémon tbh
6:15 You think a Pokemon based on a British dessert should've been introduced in a France based region?
Oooooof burn!
I mean. Sure? It's not like Britain is the only country that can make cakes. If anything, Alchremy should be in every region. And besides French baking is world famous, so a baking themed Pokémon is quite fitting
@@andrewcogdillcole3826 Alcremie isn't a cake (outside it's Gigantamax form). It's a Wimbledon Strawberry and Cream.
@@ericriley1985 Britain isn't the only country to have cream. Just because it's based on something specific, doesn't mean it can't be recontextualized as a generic cream Pokémon. Take every monkey Pokémon, none of them resemble the monkeys actually native to whatever country or province a region is based on
Ceruledge using Swords
Armarouge Armor
Sword and Shield
Me looks a Wikstrom - Kalos.
Jumpluff is actually implied to be from Hoenn
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and ORAS dex entry - Jumpluff rides warm southern winds to cross the sea and fly to foreign lands. The Pokémon descends to the ground when it encounters cold air while it is floating. The other dex entries don't mention it travelling to foreign lands, implying the line is Hoenn native.
You can even make the argument with the Gible line, that it was the first convergent species, but we didn't realize it until we actually got the mechanic in gen 9.
You can actually make a point for every Kanto Pokemon native to the Safari Zone exclusively, especially looking at availability in later regions and their designs
Lapras - Galar (Its based on the Loch Ness Monster)
Tauros - Johto. However, Alola is another possibility
Chansey line - Paldea (Is the most abundant in Paldea and Sun and Moon). We can also find a lot of baby mons in the wild in Galar, implying a lot of baby mon lines actually come from there, but Happiny is not one of them.
Scyther - Is abundant in Paldea, but its native region actually might be Hisui, due to the presence of Kleavor.
Pinsir - Might actually be from Alola, as its the most abundant in the region.
However, you can make a case for Scyther and Pinsir (As well as all Pokemon that are able to Mega Evolve are native to Hoenn and Kalos).
If GF didn't insist on making bdsp "faithful remakes" they could have been remade using an expanded dex, ah la hgss and oras. Sure, it wouldn't have to have -all- the pokemon, but they certainly could have made some additions.
Stay strong King
I just want game freak to revisit classic Regions with a new Story, more pokemon and quality of life inprovements.
Omg yes!!! Absolutely!!!!!
Take a shot every time Mystic mentions Kalos 😂. Jk love you Mystic
I love that game!
Happy Fathers Day to the REALS
Yes Daddy
0:18 Hold up, were the shiny versions intentionally chosen here & for the rest of the video???
Hold up wait a minute put a little love in it
Shouldn’t snorunt be in Sinnoh then hoenn because snorunt in hoenn can’t be only found in the cave
Fair point!
Keep up the awesome work and videos love the video
What a kind comment, he doesn't get many of these
Hmmm...
Mantine for HOENN - Tropical theme with region, so much water and a lack of water Mon... Fits so well.
Golisopod for SINNOH, with the vast caves, would have been brilliant to find in Mount Coronet where there are underground / cave lakes (where you can find Feebas).
Heliolisk for HOENN - Would fit theme, on route with weather institute.
Volcarona in SINNOH - replace Heatran at Stark Mountain. Could also have been in Scorched Slab in Hoenn.
The problem is that Remoraid isn't catchable in the Original Hoenn Games. Mantine being from Alola makes more sense though. Its also a tropical theme mon, although the line (Just like the Mantyke line) doesn't show up in the Original, they do show up in the Ultra Games (We even have the Mantine Surfing minigame).
I'll give a shout out to the new gen 2 pokemon that were originally going to be encountered in the Kanto games, lots of missed opportunities, especially to give kanto their own Dark types
love your top 10 video!
🎉
Another day of me asking you to make a best team for each of the non gen 9 starters in Scarlet and Violet, trying to not use repeats as much as possible.
Hahahahaha Bro i love your dedication 😂
The Pokemon I think could’ve been from another regions 1, Edgaslash from Galar as it is the Sword shield Pokemon 2, Roserade Kalos it fits the beauty of Kalos and I believe Masquerades originally from France 3, solirock and Lunatone Alola since they are the Sun and Moon Pokemon 4, Coalossel Sinnoh it would fit in the mines 5, Oricorio Bali style Paldea it would fit with the Spanish style of dancers 6, Snorunt it would’ve fit more in the cold region as in Hoenn you can only encounter them in Caves 7, the Swords of Justice they are based off the Three Musketeers and they would’ve adds more Legendary to the actual game 8, Tyrouge Kanto 9, Alcreamie Kalos it fit with the Sweet culinary of Kalos 10, Palafin Alola.
Even in Generation 1, there are Pokémon based on non-native animals. Garūra is one of them since it is based on a marsupial where the animal is known for the females having pouches.
I thought for sure grafaiai would make it to this list. It looks like a mon that belongs to galar.
Would there be a regional of Malamar to be water 💧 because it’s a squid
@@vanessasandoval96 Only legends Z-A will tell
So many could make this episode
I do enjoy the idea that some Pokemon introduced in some generations originate from other regions based off now easy it is to encounter said Pokemon
For example Eevee was originally once a gift only pokemon or could only be found in one secluded area, so it could be argued that Eevee is more native to Alola than Kanto because Alola is the first region where it can appear in more than one route/location (not counting friend safari from XY because it’s more of a nature preserve than a natural habitat)
Yeah, but even then you can only catch Eevee on 2 routes in Alola. Eevee is probably from Galar, seeing its the most abundant there (Being catchable in multiple locations).
Ceruledge and Armarouge are from the Paldea region!
You missed the point of this video, didn't you... ?
@@MidnightLugia24 He states in the video that they're originally from Galar and that they would be a better fit in Kalos. It's probably a mistake though because after that, he places them in Galar instead (and yes, they would be a good fit in that region).
Honestly, in my personal opinion, the franchise needs to stop putting Pokemon in regions they’re not native to
They tried that with black and white. It might be regarded well today but Pokemon fans did not like that at the time.
Also, invasive species. Meowths, rattatas, and pidgeys and things like them should be everywhere
@@jasonnoregretes491 most flying and water pokemons should be in every region, since all pokemon regions are considered as islands. Johto is exception because it's connected to kanto as one big island.
No.
Rillboom looks like a gen 7 starter poke Mon to me osshawatt looks like piplup from sinnoh.
1) Do you rate teams?
2) Video idea: Make a team based on the geographic location you're from, which if I remember correctly, is SoCal. Then, perhaps rate some of our teams that you really liked. Rules are as follows.
2a)
I) All pokemon must reasonably be from the area/s in which you live/have lived. Example: No Dewgong if you're from New Mexico.
II) You can pick a pokemon from an area you're not from if you went there for x reason(vacation, work, etc.)
III) Going through a place and never stopping does not count as having been there. This includes airports, train stations, etc. Be reasonable.
IV) No legendaries. It just makes statistical sense that well over 99% of us would never catch a legendary IRL.
V) Only one starter with the applied geographic location rule
VI) Max one pseudo-legendary
VII) Exceptions could be for starters as long as you're still logical with your reasoning. Example: You're not likely to find any Charizard in Alaska.
I think that Finizen evolves into Palafin and Wishiwashi should switch regions
Dolphins would be found in Alola (based on Hawaii)
Bunch of Sardines would be found in Paldea (based on Spain)
How about which starter could do better in different regions. 1st comment about different starters in Each Gen
Meowscarada in Gen 1 After The Remake: Not only would it resist the first 4 gyms (Except Erika's Poison Types), but Dark moves would help take out Sabrina and Agatha (Minus Agatha's Poison types)
Infernape or Blaziken in Gen 2 for Whitney: Speed Boost can outspeed Miltank and Mach Punch and Power Up Punch can help take out Miltank
Sinnoh: Decidueye (Both Alola & Hisuian Forms): Flying type moves for Gardenia, Flying moves for Corinna & Aaron, Ghost type moves for Fantina and Lucian
Unova: Incineroar For Black & White 2
Kalos: Blaziken thanks to the special promotion when it first came out. As much as I like the Mega Lucario, Blaziken is the only fire starter to take out Grant. Decidueye is also good. Its flying moves take care of Viola, Korinna, and Ramos.
Galar: Decidueye/Hisuian Decidueye for Sword and Blaziken for Shield: Decidueyes both for Milo with Flying moves, Allister and & Bea with Flying, Fighting, and Ghost Moves. Blaziken with Speed Boost and can cover Gordie, Melanie, Piers/Marnie, Charimen Rose
Paldea: Infernape can help with the first 2 gyms, Larry, Grusha, Poppy, Geeta, Klawf, Orthworm, and Giacomo.
Now I’m curious what if the bird Pokémon are like Angry Birds
Articuno Ice Bird space
Legendary birds Galarian forms as Red Chuck Bomb in space form
Hawlucha Sirfetch’d Decidueye
Dotrio as Jim Jake and Jay
Staraptor Pidgeot Talonflame
Chimecho should have being from gen 4
Love this video 😊😊😊
you know this makes me think of a theory i've had about certain pokemon...and if they truly should be counted as from the region they debut in if you can't actually capture them like Riolu and Zorua, since there is no way to capture them in their home region they are only obtainable as gifts, heck Eevee in kanto counts as well, and then there's the trade pokemon like Farfetch'd, Lickitung, and Jynx.
Same with the Safari Zone exclusive mons.
On a somewhat similar note, Wingull are a bit of an interesting pokemon when you think about it
They’ve appeared in every region since their debut (including Unova with Undella Bay), and it makes sense for them to appear all over the world
But because they’re gen 3 pokemon they never appeared in Kanto or Johto
…But what in-universe reason could there be for them to avoid these two regions in particular?
There wouldn't be.
Like, thats my problem specifically with Flying and Water type mons, they can actually traverse the world and aren't limited by land. So its actually harder to pinpoint their actual native region (Like here with Mystic saying Garchomp being from Hoenn, while it also can be from Alola (Same with Sharpedo).
wasn’t the #10 duo introduced in Paldea?
Alternative title: Guy Gets Pokémon's Generations Wrong For 13 Minutes Straight
I notice none of the Pokémon were ones you think could work in Johto. I was hoping this video would give me ideas for potential Regional Variants ala Legends Arceus. You did say Jumpluff would work in Kalos, think we can expect a regional variant of it in Legends Z-A?
The garchomp take is a good one lowkey. The stats just make it OP in gen 3
if goldengo were to appear on gen 1 I would move voltorb and electrode to gen 6, it would mean items prior to gen 6 would be shown on chest and the reason I move them to gen 6 it's because kalos has the pokeball factory
Aegislash should've been in Sword and Shield. I think that's self-explanatory😅
Hawlucha and Ludicolo could be from Unova because the region aside of being based in New York, has element from other countries of the American continent including central america and south america, Hawlucha specially, a mexican masked luchador hawk who clearly has the colors of the Mexico flag looks out of place in a region based on France
Mienfoo line, the tao trio and the treasures of the ruin could be great for a region bassed on China.
The swords of justice should be from Kalos because the three muskeeters are french
Yeah Unova is America 🇺🇸 New York
Kalos is France 🇫🇷
Alola is Hawaii
Galar is UK 🇬🇧
I feel like if they adjusted Gholdengo’s ability, it would have fit really well in Kanto. I also always feel Whimsicott is out of place in gen 5.
Morelull and Shiinotic from Galar. Those two fit Glimwood Tangle far more than any place in Alola.
Mystic can u do best team for firered
skarmory is like the most obvious choice for me cuz I seriously forgot it was gen 2 lol
I'd say Tyrouge, Hitmontop & all of the evolutions & pre evolutions of pokemon introduced in a particular region are from that region but were just introduced later. Like in the games Gallade & Froslass are Hoenn pokemon even included in the dex in ORAS. Gholdengo being steel type shouldn't be a problem either since Steel is in Kanto as it has been included in every Kanto game since RGBY & the Magnemite line doesn't just lose a type as soon as it enters Kanto
I think there should be more Hoenn Pokémon to Alola form like Sableye because it like stitch
anyone else got nostalgic upon entering the video and hearing the sleepywood OST from maple?
I genuinely think Skarmory pretends to be from the Hoenn region. Gamefreak gave one to Winona and Steven, and it could be encountered in the wild in all 3 Generation 3 games. Jasmine didn't get one until her HGSS rematch team, I don't think any standard trainers from GSC used a Skarmory, and it was version exclusive, so if you were playing Gold you likely wouldn't ever know that Skarmory was a Johto Mon.
The Clefable line could also have come from Hoenn. I think there was one anime episode when Clefairy's were playing with Meteor pieces (maybe two?), and the Meteorite is a major part of the Hoenn game storyline.
The anime introduced a ton of Pokémon one region early. I always associated Togepi with Kanto because of Misty. I don't associate Manaphy with Hoenn, but I do think it could be from Hoenn - Prince of the Sea aka Kyogre-lite.
Clefable line probably comes from Alola. Alola is the first game where you can catch Cleffa in the wild on Mount Holukani in a location where it actually makes sense (As more Space based Pokemon can be found there) + the entire Cleffa line is absent from the Gen 3 games.
Dang, you forgot about paldea on the 1st entry
How about litwick at the lavender town tower in g1
Shyaritatsu should have been in the Japanese regions because it is based on the nigirizushi.
I genuinely repeatedly forget that the Cincinno wasn’t a Kalos mon
It's not, though... it was introduced in Unova
Cincinno is a Unova mon
@@MidnightLugia24 I typed “wasn’t” but iPhone is stupid and changes negatives to positives for some reason?!
Aegishash from Galar too on the nose?
Last time I checked ceruledge and armorouge were from paldea
I'm still annoyed that Galarian Corsola didn't come into existence because of Mareanie hunting them down. It was global warming that caused them to exist.
Best team regional none evolved pokemon. Can only use pokemon with 3 stage evolution but can’t evolve them 👀👀👀👀
Should Togepi been hoenn then Johto because you can find it in johto but in that one amine episode we see a lot of the togepi in hoenn am just saying
Sinistea and Polteageist should be in Kalos
Remember Beauty and the Beast takes place in France and has a Teapot and Teacup mother and son duo
Mime Jr. and Mr. Mime should also originate in Kalos
Mimes are in France
Tatsugiri and Dondozo should be in Kanto
Sushi is originated in Japan
Cubchoo and Beartic should be in Sinnoh
Because Sinnoh is cold and based on parts of Russia
Darumaka and Darmanitan should be in Johto
Skiddo and Gogoat should also be in Johto due to Johto having a farm
Also would fit into Sinnoh and Unova
Kangaskhan should originate in Hoenn and so does Komala
Pancham, Pangoro, Stufful and Bewear should be in Johto
Because Gen 2 lacked enough fighting types
Fidough and Dachsbun should be in Kalos
Because France is known for baguettes
Tauros should originate in Unova
Bulls originate in North America
Meinfoo and Meinshao should originate in Hoenn
Frillish and Jellicent should originate in Kalos
France is known for its kings and queens
I guess I was today years old to learn Armorouge and ceruledge are galar Pokémon.🤷🏿♂️
They are not
@@justinterry2926 I know. You missed the joke
@@DJGURR No... your joke was just poorly handled
