Try the hd600 and aune ar5000. Imo these are the 2 headphone i recommend. I own both too. Its the best among my collections.
If you want very good bass for open back imo go for the hd58x. After eq its awesome

If you like suspension headbands I’d try Phillips Fidelio X2hr they are heavier to me but the suspension headband helps a lot.

Noob here. What happens if one uses a 1/4" inch tip/ring/sleeve (single-ended?) headphone plug into a tip/ring/ring/sleeve (balanced?) socket of a headphone amplifier? And vice-versa? Thanks.

Yes tip/ring/sleeve is single ended, if you use that in a plug that is balanced it may not work right, I would suggest that you take also a balanced cabel to plug into the socket.
