Admiration dude, a friend and I rolled for three days to change the clutch of a golf 5 ca, you do it easily, you are a professional and I am an amateur, I have a lot to learn from you
Man i am glad i found this video i bought a new EFM box for my brother (old one had a leak, not enough oil, destroyed bearing on 5th gear), they look similar, but it doesnt seem as hard as a thought it would be, thanks to the visual aid thanks bro, great job
me too! bought a whole new gearbox for my 1.4 because I lost 5th gear due to leaking gearbox seals and I had no idea what I was doing but with a bit of help from a friend, we managed to bosh it out in a day
Saludos
I like the way you keep conversation down to a minimum but always stay polite with it. I love my neighbours but they can moidder a lot if I'm working on my driveway on a vehicle.
I want to replace the clutch on my Lupo soon, great to see this video. Will definitely have it on hand when I get to it. Will probably take a bit longer though. Knowing I'll have to do it without power tools, just common hand tools...
Dear Mr. Williams, i wish you a happy new year and thank you so much for your great video👍👍👍i change my clutch and yesterday start the test drive. I' m happy all is fine! You got a strong job and i hope you earn good money for that. Viele Grüße aus Pommern Oliver
great video mate, very concise and informative but one question mate… How many Litres of transmission oil did you put in? I have read a few sources some say 1.5L some say 2.4L
Top job kevin. This one seemed a little easier than most. Can i ask you a quick question out of curiosity, when you're about to mate the boxes back to the engine, do you leave them in gear or neutral ? What works best in your opinion and experience.
Very useful video, thank you! The only frustrating bit for me was that I took off the o/s driveshaft cup in the same way as yourself and then had a hard time putting it back on (all for no reason). I guess this isn’t usually required on this car but presumably you removed it because you were swapping the gearbox?!
Is it normal that my drive shafts have up and down play when i grab it and shake it, play is in spot where driveshaft rod entering gearbox, and clunk noise appears when moving it up and down...can this be reasone because my front wheels vibrating when i try to start without gas from first or reverse shifts???? Clutch kit is new!
G'day Kevin somehow I wasn't a subscriber anyway it's back to normal now and I'm enjoying the channel kind regards John PS do you do anything else such as change ball joints or CVS?
The moment I heard that neighbours voice, I thought of "You Don't Want To Do It Like That" from Harry Enfield. Good to hear your voice fella, and a nice blast from the past seeing the little Lupo. Just out of curiosity (hope it never needs one), do you do DSG clutches?
Hey Steve.., he was a good man the gardener.. That’s it. That’s me done talking for the year.. 😁🍻… I don’t usually take DSG on as a repair. But sometimes I may make exceptions ..🥃
Well I'll be danged Kevin speaks, LOL. Is that brake clean you spray on?. I have never worked on a VW/Audi they seem to do things differently than I'm used to.
Ur dooing a good job mate. This shit aint easy. I use to do mobile turbo service were i removed an fit em. All weather like u pal. Until last year i was dignosed with a brain tumour the size of mandingos bollack. Am recovering now so this job i carnt do nomore. Miss it to b honest. Good money aswel.. be safe mate. God bless
Hi, I know you always use LuK DMFs and have a lot experience with them so I am turning to you, I just bought a new DMF for my 2007 1.8 tdci focus (LuK part 415 0647 10). The flywheel has almost 2,5 mm rock /tilt at the sides as can be seen form this video: th-cam.com/video/PDMzk6Er5qI/w-d-xo.html. The LuK brochurse says this specific flywheel has to be repalced when rcok/tilt exceeds 2,9 mm. Do you think this flywheel is defective and should I replace it for a new one?

no editing ...this how long it took by the master of clutches, great work kevin lad

this time very detailed with all the individual steps ... very nice
Thank you. It was a nice repair. A bit tight on space tho.
Parts and labour exceeds actual car value for sure :) Good job Kevin

Thanks for filming the whole process in all detail!

That’s it Gareth.
It’s nice to be polite but not overly involved in conversation as the job is still the main focus.
Do you have a timestamp ?
Very helpful. This weekend I change the clutsh on a Polo 6n1 I have, it's pretty much the same setup. Thank you very much.
Now I have to change the clutch at the Ford Fest 1.4 2007, I hope you have a video to prepare, congratulations

Very fast service big Kevin 💪💪💪
Well done...very well filmed and utmost credit if you filmed it yourself whilst working...thanks Michael

Thankyou. Glad to know it went really well.
You did a great job! Thanks for the video. I’m gonna replace my gearbox so this is very helpful!

There has to be an easier way to earn a living! He’s very good and obviously well practised. Excellent video.
.
I would by a Twin Busch TW125M or something to make this job way easier. Great work by the way!
I bet you love these little cars with light gearboxes
Id say not, with the amount of 'difficult to get to' strip down involved.
Thanks for this video. It really helped me out.
Thanks Kevin have a great evening 😁👍
Amazing love upload! Keep them coming and thumbs up! 💜
Enjoy your day and have a great start of the new week! 💙
It must be of great sentimental value. And as an added bonus the front of the car won't rust with its self lubricating system.😉🤔☺️
great video mate, very concise and informative but one question mate…
How many Litres of transmission oil did you put in?
I have read a few sources some say 1.5L some say 2.4L
It doesn’t take much at all. Usually 1L if it’s a dry box then 1.5L
finally a Lupo as always keep it up
Is that one of your favourite Ricardo ..
yes the Lupo is small but a lot of work@@WMCS
Thanks for your uploaded! It is very informative reference.💪👌🙏
Hey very nice work, greetings from Germany. Are you using at 05:30 an Wobble Extension Bar Set or just a normal extension set ?
Greetings
Hi Florian. Just standard extension
Great video as always! I have been wondering what do you use as penetrating oil in your spray bottle?
Should be brake cleaner
Top job kevin. This one seemed a little easier than most.

good evening buddy !! The Big Kevin 🍻

You should have tried it with the flange in place to understand what you’re saying.
@@WMCS point taken! 👍🏼
Great Value!
Thank you!
Hi, nice job...,
What is that liquid you used for cleaning during this replacement?
Brake cleaner.
that gearbox oil looked new
That's what I thought. It was hard to tell but to my eye it looked like it was losing oil from the drive shaft output flange seals.
😮 how heavy is that gearbox?
What was the problem with the gearbox?!
He replaced a new clutch. Gears problem
bonjour bon boulot comme toujours 😁👍
Merci …

It’s a clutch alignment tool.
