God! uhhhh! this is what i asked for in other of your exercices, arpegios , intervals combined with vhallenging scales, please ...more like that ( baroque opera student)
Love your videos. I'm wondering what your advice is on how to become a proficient singer away from the piano. I can do the exercises pretty cleanly when hitting the keys, but when I step away from the keyboard I loose a lot of confidence with regards to being on pitch. Usually I write songs on the guitar, but I am becoming more and more dependent on the keyboard. Any advice for weening myself off of it so I can sing with the same confidence without pushing the keys? Thanks
Great question - singing a cappella can be a challenge! But the more you do it, the easier it gets. I'd go back to easier material to practice - singing something simple... folk songs, children's songs, hymn songs... A few specific ideas: 1) record yourself and listen back 2) use technology (like TE tuner) to see if you're on the right pitch 3) practice scales and exercises a cappella - example: play a C. Sing a major scale a cappella. Check the C again to see if you stayed in key. Keep at it!
It's hard to know without hearing you, but the mode (head voice to chest voice) is shifting during such a big interval change. It's a matter of working on coordination switching between registers to train the voice to know what to do when!
TH-cam please put this channel at the top of the search. This is what we need.

Why does my voice break so much in the low notes of Intervals within a fifth? It doesn’t happen once I go up on the register..

I’ll keep practicing then, thank you!

Being camera shy but wanted to help?
@@VocalWarmupsWithKathleen Oh-- nice shirt!
My lips will not vibrate like that. They just cannot do it.
You can substitute singing on a vvvv or zzzz... but keep trying! Maybe I can come up with a video to help with lip trills!
I couldn’t do it for years so I just kept practicing now I’m much better at it.
