Melanie, check back on this channel next Wednesday! We just took your request and made a Lyric Soprano Daily Vocal Warm Up! Going live on the channel Wednesday June 28th! Thank you so much for the request!
I hit very high notes with ease, but I need to go higher for Queen of the night and that very high staccato note that then repeats is a problem (even if right now I sing it slightly lower). Also, at the end of my songs I love to bring in a very high note but lately I acquired a very bad habit, I get to the note but instead of letting it flow, I freeze, which sounds awful.
I love Queen of the Night! The fact that you can even sing it is so rare, you should pat yourself on the back for it. How about you play on TH-cam, some of the famous, Classical Singers, and just sing along with them, until you just subconsciously bridge the issue? That's what I normally do, whether it's art or singing. Best to you!
@@juliesczesny90 Wow, many thanks for the lovely compliment!!!! I only started to sing at the age of 58, but I truly love singing powerful songs and at the end of Queen of the Night, instead of going lower, I go higher, hahahaha... OK, Mozart will forgive me, I trust. I do sing it 1 tone lower, which a friend of mine, a huge maestro assured me, was the way Mozart actually wrote it. Therefore singing with big singers is then a problem. But that is very good advice. I sing Freddie Mercury's Exercises in Free Love regularly with Montserrat Caballé. Best to you too and I will see if you have videos on your channel and subscribe, OK? It will be great to follow you.
Hi, I'm new in your channel. Do you have any training for increasing speed in singing? Hope you understand my english, I'm Brazilian... best wishes for you and yours, Danielle
*Singers, we are taking requests for future videos. What warm ups, vocal exercises, or technique videos would help you as a singer?*
Basic vocal technique for beginner singer including breathing and placement
Vocal trill exercises to get better at them
It's great to hear a soprano warm-up with an actual soprano voice, rather than a male teacher 1-2 octaves down!
Literally, that's one of the driving reasons I made this channel in the first place!! (and why you won't hear me doing bass warm ups!)
0:05 hum OR lip trill
1:41 call & response (diaphragm)
3:03 breathing exercises
6:14 Eee
8:06 Oh-Ah
10:15 tall Ah (no H!)
12:32 Ee-eh-Ah (check posture)
14:22 hum OR lip trill
15:07 sirens
You are brilliant. Could we have your voice louder in the video and could you singing through so we amateurs could follow along?
a song verse sung with skills used while singing explained ..thank u so much
