Real talk,my boys are out here ending racism and trying to influence a better tomorrow and honestly I just wish Mike and Jaime the best man. They're just awesome humans and they will forever be my favorite duo in the hip hop game. Bless RTJ. 👉🏻🤛🏿
El-P came up on the streets of NY, in the early/late 90's... That's Immortal Technique, Slug (Atmosphere), Aesop Rock, MF Doom, Eyedea.. Crazy ass time to be on the Hiphop scene.
Every RTJ show I've been to has been absolutely incredible. Some of the most energetic stage presence you'll ever see. But the funny thing is, my favorite moments have been their banter back and forth between songs. They're honestly a hilarious comedy duo.
That was some stand up shit that Mike said that about El p being the best rapper producer Bc he’s right ik people will say Kanye but you can’t really argue that kanye sway freestyle. He might be one of the best on the producer side, but there is no way the best “rapper” could shit the bed THAT BAD.
I hope you get to see them. I just saw them in Denver this weekend and they're absolutely worth the wait! One of the most fun concerts I've ever been too
The thing with El is that he have never tried to be nothing but himself, like a white guy who raps and produces. I think that and some other factors is why he never broke thru even as an amazing producer into the indrusty that is still problematic with rap and whites on indrusty level. Because El have been going off since 90's and knows so many people who broke thru and still somehow there was Zero intrest in him. Like I get it in terms of him doing very Aesop type of cryptic writing (they have songs together and Aesop is also one of a kind producer and rapper)(got a bit love from indrusty with Impossible Kid but that's about it) and all that but he was already in Company Flow clearly the strongest link all the way and proves he can ofc write with not being so cryptogrammick. So there is legit A Lot in the indrusty of how do we present this white guy who acts white.. so he never got picked up. The talent level can be off the charts and these guys living off of crumbs with massive workload. He put so much effort into Cancer 4 Cure and it not doing a dent for anything happening than his ug status just going up, so it was kinda a point he was ready to quit. The production is craaazy in that album, I used to listen it religiously when it came out. Then Mike was kinda at somewhere in the same place, not as set on quitting but close. So Run The Jewels was kinda a hail mary of ok let's take this amazing production and just clown on the beat without being so dense with lyrics and showcase the flows with funny lines. Because Mike's solos had that strong political angle so he also never got picked up like that. It very much so was dumb it down for masses and it worked immmidiatelly. Just very glad especially that El-P got it after putting decades of work and left in the sidelines (because again, it's just so baffling that his production alone didn't put him into the big leagues).
@@andrebunting7603 KRIT is incredible but Funcrusher Plus, The Iron Vein, El-P’s solo discography, R.A.P. Music, the mf RTJ discography like come on man. One thing is absolutely certain, El-P is a better producer
@kyleknock9550 it must be where we from. I can roll Krit all day. I've only heard R.A.P Music and RTJ the others I haven't. The beats aren't my speed. I prefer the laid back melodic tone of Krit. His newest album Digital Roses is his weakest imo but it's also him just trying something different. For me Mike is what makes their albums good and he can roll on top of El-P beats. Not many can but almost anyone can rap on a Krit beat. He's just my preference for sure.
This might be the best bromance in rap
2nd to Tyler and rocky
@@cornifsh nah, tyler and rocky are amazing but mike and El are committed to Run The Jewels, T and Rocky could never commit to a rap group
Tyler and earl
Em and Dre?
@@LoseMillion more like Em and 50, they are really good friends
Get you a homie like El and Mike
Killer mike is honestly so adorable
Killer mike is more mike than killer
I can't stop seeing El-P as Tim Heidecker doing some incredibly long bit.
Bruh said "he spelled it like pee pee." 🤣

Then he saw all that and decided "Let's make the most bass-heavy heart attack inducing beats ever"
One of the best current rap duos ever, I fucking love RTJ!
This makes me happy watching 👉🤛🏿
Only gave you a like because of the RTJ3 album cover as your profile pic lol.
You can tell these two are Family….
All you need to know that Mike loves El-P is the way he looked at him when he was about to joke about his comedian wife. 😂😂😂
Big Boi would sound INCREDIBLE on el-p beats
Their love for each other was set in stone by the deity you believe in. The universe is an acceptable deity.
Now, as an atheist, this kind of God talk, I don't mind at all.
Brotherhood💙
Real shit one white boy to another it means the world to see how much killer Mike loves El P they are really out here breaking barriers 🔥

Their relationship translated to their product.
Absolutely 💯 my all time favorite group/band/duo/boy band/et al
More like 6 minutes of Mike hyping Jamie up with 1 minute of various other anecdotes
I’m fine with that. Mike gets plenty of credit, literally had a Kendrick shoutout on tpab. El-P deserves it. Homies hype up homies.
I didnt know how much i actually needed to see this and 😢 i feel content and have a sort of plentiful feeling aftet this.
They make me so happy! Thanks for making this video
The bromance that led to Mike getting a Grammy 🎉

I love both but I don't see how Kanye shit the bed in a musical sense besides for something like donda 2
The love maaaaaaan. I love the love.
For Sure!
The Colin and Che of hip hop

I've been listening to rap since I was 12 and I have to say RTJ are easily two of my favorite rappers.
Amazing
El-P is one the most Underrated Underground Producer/Mc's of All time.
What all the world needs to hear and see.
We all the same ,but just have oir differences.
