As good as these OMV are, The Warning excels in live performances. I would suggest the videos they've released from the Teatro Metropolitan show. All professionally recorded. If you want to watch the live versions of Choke and Disciple we're happy to watch them with you. You guys are standing on the edge of The Warning rabbit hole. Once you step in, there's no going back. The more you discover, the more amazed you will be. Their second album is a concept album that in my opinion is one of the best of all time. And you've still only experienced a few songs from their third album, Error. Best band I've ever seen live especially when they're headlining. Just amazing experience. The best thing about them is that they're down to earth nice people and they treat their fans like family. Look forward to your journey discovering The Warning.
BITD it was for most bands Live at The Filmore East was THE performance, for Stevie Ray Vaughn it was Live at the El Macombo. For The Warning...........so far it's "Live at the Teatro Metropolitan" in August of 2022............ so far.

Excellent reaction, think you have it right about the meaning of the song. I have tried to express what it is about The Warning that grabs me so, and I think that you mix genuine passion for music with superb writing, great musicianship, and the final ingredient you mentioned, charisma and you have a potent mix.

Nice reaction. I've been listening to The Warning a lot this year. For official music videos, I'd say to check out Evolve and XXI Century Blood. For live videos, I'd check out as many of the pro shot videos from Teatro Metropolitan that they've been putting on their channel for the last 6 months or so. My favorites from the live videos would be Disciple, Money, Dust to Dust, Enter Sandman (a very unique twist on it) and Martirio. And then for other The Warning videos, I'd go with Dull Knives from The Warning Cave, Revenant and Breathe from their lyric videos, and the 'You've Been Warned!' TEDx video from 2017. If you want non-The Warning suggestions, the songs I like that will get you the most clicks are: - Nightwish - Ghost Love Score from 2013 Wacken Live (Romanticide, Storytime and Ever Dream from that same show are also great) - Unleash the Archers - Awakening - official video - Jinjer - Pisces - official video If you don't care about clicks and just want to react to something different, I've been liking an up and coming German trio called Future Palace. Their official music video for their song Paradise would be my recommendation for checking them out.

The drum "solo" is called a fill or a run. Technically, it was a linear flam fill. The layered voices in the bridge is Daniela, the lead singer / guitarist sings both vocals. They are layered in the mix. When this song is played live, Alejandra, the bassist, sings this part solo with no layering.

I'm gonna chime in with everyone else urging you to check out their live shows. They have said that this album, Error, is where they finally succeeded in having the studio version reflect what they can do live rather than have the live try to recreate the studio. That's a recording approach I firmly agree with.
Dany's facial expressions are phenomenal. That little smile at the start when she says "I won't survive the fall" is too good. In the bridge for the studio version of Choke, it is Dany layered over herself but when played live Ale does the softer vocals as a solo.

As far as their stage presence goes this is something they’ve actively worked hard on, they’ve practiced in front of a mirror for years specifically so they can see what the audience sees.

About 7:22 : It's Ale who sings that lower part. She has a wonderful voice on her own, deeper than her sisters. But she doesn't like to sing lead at all (she absolutely hates it, in her words - just not her personality) but does it for effects like this or in case of need, for instance when Dany is sick. And she does it wonderfully.

The lower notes on the bridge is sung by the bassist Ale.
Not on the recording, but she sings that part live because it’s too quick of a transition between registers for Dany.
