Every time somebody says something close to not liking the song everybody starts trying to deffend the girls and I don't think they need a defensive team on their side, people can like it or not, but they're just starting and this song is just that, a song, everybody is entilted to have an opinion, what I hate is people that only say they like it to get subscribers, I rather have an honest opinion, I really apreciate this kind of opinions!!!! Thank you guys, keep'em coming, greetings from México!!!!

One must never forget that the 3, despite their long self-written songs, are still young (18-23). There is always something that changes, what in style what in the lyrics. There are always new influences that they get along and also absorb. If you listen to the interview, especially with Pau about what music they listen to right now, then gets a picture of what there are all surprises can still come. There is almost every style from J-metal to K-pop in it.

If you truly knew anything about the girls, you'd realize that the video and music aren't contradictory AT ALL. They're fun, funny and extremely lighthearted BUT can seriously rock their behinds off with the best of 'em. Those of us who have been longtime fans and followers know that this represents EXACTLY who they are.

Yes, I agree. The video for More is a much better representation of the bands true personalities.
This is a much closer representation of the band that long time fans have grown to know with the years of BTS footage and livestreams and other social media and public interactions.
The prior music videos tell the story of the song not the story of how the band truly is.

This is somewhat of a departure from their usual. They experiment with other genres. For example, 'P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C.' is punk meets Bay City Rollers, with lyrics about a girl committing murders. As for Paulina's hair, it has been blonde, pink, vivid red, blue, kind of a purple, but maybe that was a hangover from a couple of colors. And maybe some other colors, too.

I heard someone else describe it as a jack in the box but Ozzy pops out. If you start watching videos of them doing interviews or vlogs this video starts to make a whole lot more sense. Yes, their music is serious, but they also have a very goofy side to their personalities. There are also a lot of Easter Eggs in the video for their long time fans to pick out. This was the first song that they've recorded that came out of a multi week writing trip to LA where they had song writing sessions with several artists from across the music spectrum.
The way I look at it is this is art. Specifically, their art and their creative outlet (as Dany said in a TedX talk that is well worth watching as well). It will change and evolve over time, they will try experiments in different sounds and all of that. Not your favorite song of theirs? That's cool, it's your personal preference. Has this song brought in new fans that had neve heard of them? That's also cool, and we hope they stick around.

Yes this song is pop. It is the first song of theirs that I have heard many warning fans say they don't like it. In Feb they went to LA for two weeks and met with with about 10 song writers. Two of them helped write More. One of them then went to their home in Mexico and produced the song. Was so happy to see in an interview today that their next album will be songs that the sisters wrote during the pandemic, not this pop crap.

The video (and the studio version for that matter) were quite controversial among fans when they were released in part due to the same perceived incongruity you mention. It is the first song written in collaboration with other artists from their record label, and recorded, mixed and produced in a few weeks before their latest US tour. The video has lots of easter eggs known to The Warning Army and is a sort of fan service as they are usually very playful and fun in their streaming sessions.

Hey Guys! Funny you say it's different from the rest of the Warning songs, so far, because this is the first and only song that they collaborated with other songwriters on. I'm sorry, but Spice Girls is a bridge too far. hahaha. It reminds me a bit of "Garbage" vocally and "Muse" on the Bass distortion and fuzz guitar. Wait until you get more into their catalog and interviews and you will see what they are really like. This video is them being them. The song may not reflect the video, for sure. But, this song is much harder with fewer effects LIVE! It BANGS live!

This is the first collaboration they have relapsed. The video is full of Easter eggs for those who know the band. TW have over 50 originals 2 EP's 3 albums. There last album was their first under a label. They are well known for their dark lyrics and an adult perception of the world well beyond their age. May I suggest the Queen of the murder scene. It was their second album and it is a concept album. Another suggestion listen to it with the lyrics for to reasons, TW are masters of the lyric and without the visual performance you get to appreciate it more and reading the lyrics gives you chills as if you were reading a thriller novel. After that watch the full videos and there are some great ones. They are a band that are at their best live. "Fun Fact" Pau does most of the lyrics and concepts Pau, Ale and Dany then they all come together to complete the song. They all do have songs they have created but Pau is normally the main instigator. They have been writing since almost the beginning 10yrs ago. Their mother has argued against a number of their early songs being released because of the dark themes. Queen of the murder seen was written when the girls were around 15, 13 and 10yrs old.

The music and music video are a different combination for sure. Kind of Muse meets No Doubt video by Dee-Lite.
I did like that your heads were bopping to the beat from the very beginning. I have found that the more I listen and the louder I listen to this song the more I like it. Much more dancable than many of their other tracks.
I have seen them do this live twice. It is a different feel. Some of the more processed parts are stripped away and they just play it hard. It really rocks. Maybe it will sound differnt if you don't watch the video along with it? That sure has worked for me.

Hey guys. This video is all about fun and the lighter side of rock (& roll). Hula Hoops and conga lines were from when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s. This is an over time history of the genre. the 4x3 black and white screen expanding little by little to 16x9 in color. Even Penelope is vintage. And nerf guns and the colors and baggy pants etc. etc. It is an homage to what has gone before. Dany's love for doughnuts makes a cameo in her doughnut pillow. Lighten up!!!

One way to view the video is to see them starting out as bored children and then starting to misbehave and seek new excitement as teenagers do. They are breaking the rules, maybe in the same way the band is getting outside it traditional sound (partially). It’s also the first song where all of them are basically adults, and maybe inclined to explore more adult thoughts. The lyrics could be about passion and the addiction to another person, or it could be about the band’s relationship to their audience - where both performer and audience may be left wanting more after the show ends. As for the fun/dark contrast: Pau, who writes a lot of the lyrics, is into dressing up and dancing, yet writes of murder, psychosis, addition and the like. So it is not at all surprising to see contrasts like this.

So, am I the only one that doesn’t hear the “pop” in this song? 🤔 I maybe crazy but the drop C# tuning, the chromatic descending riffs and Dany’s raging voice gives me the heaviness I’ve always loved from their older songs. Just because the drum goes a bit funky (the bass doesn’t go funky at all) doesn’t mean it can’t be heavy. I’ve been a metal head since the eighties and this doesn’t scare me at all! While I love the song, I HOPE it doesn't signal a move into pop. They are just about the best there is in their niche poised between really hard rock and not so heavy metal. I think most of us want them to stay in that pocket with only very occasional digressions into pop, perhaps to draw in new fans.

You'll get used to the lyrics always having adult or serious themes while they appear to have fun. The visuals do, in fact, contradict the seriousness of the lyrics. Few have mentioned that so far, but I think you're right. But, they do have a kind of punk rock chearleader song with chantable lyrics and plenty of fun call and response elements, but the song is about going on a crazy murder spree. So you may just have to file this one away and think about it again in a month or two.

For me, More seems to have more impact when played live.. That said, I like the music video pretty well, since once again, there's some 'easter eggs'. Like the initial 4:3 resolution gradually increasing to 16:9 as the video progresses, and a cameo from Pau's 'Petunia' (retro JVC handy cam that still works!), and a few others. It reminds me a lot of the 80's and 90's MTV videos with the stop motion and other cheesy effects.😂 I almost think they made it 'intentionally' poppy to clash with the heavy instrumentals.😉 Anyway, hope you guys have some of their live stuff cued up. The word you were looking for when describing the tempo of the song was dynamics.
Listen to it live because you might rethink the Spice Girls comment at least regarding the song itself.
Every one of their albums have been “different” stylistically and dynamically.
They are experimenting for now and collaborating but I see this as a fad more than long term.
They have publicity stated that they will experiment from time to time but wont stray too far from their rock roots.
One thing that this band has always excelled at is staying true to themselves and that has created a passionate fanbase.
It a fine line for an artist to balance creative growth and straying too far away from what garnered your success in the first place.
It’s one thing to experiment and another to radically change styles or genres.
TW have always been smart on the business side of things and it remains to be seen how they also balance risk vs reward.
A continuing style change in TW4 could open them up to bigger pop audiences or it could blow up in their face and alienate existing fans with no certainty that would be offset with newer fans. Only time will tell.

Thanks for being honest. I think a lot of the long time fans of The Warning were proud of their being independent. In the last Ted Talk, Dany talked about why they stayed independent and I have heard many reactions where they were lauded for that statement. I also have seen many reactions when fans lamented their signing with Lava because they worried about the record label changing their music. I think "More" represents the change that many fans feared. But when they explained in their documentary about how excited they were about being signed, they mentioned the advantages: they got to record Error during the pandemic, they are on a world tour, they are in commercials. They want their music to be heard all over the world. Many reactors have noticed that The Warning fans tend to be older. I think they're trying to expand their audience and to reach younger people, too. I also think that "More" is about addiction (to the web), which is one of their common themes. But, I think the "popiness" and dance-ability are to draw in younger fans. Hopefully, the younger fans who are dancing to this song will look into the rockier songs after going to their concerts. Animosity is certainly one that easily fits, and others, too. The music video seems to be an homage to the long time-fans, who know the Easter eggs, while being attractive to new, younger fans who want to dance. I think we'll hear a lot of different stuff in the future. They're still kick-ass musicians, great singers, fun and beautiful. They want to dominate and are willing to work hard to do it. I'll continue to look forward to their music, old and new, and watch them on their journey.

This song is by far my least favorite thing the band has done to date. I won’t get into being critical, but there really isn’t a part of this song I like. It is the first of their songs (with more to come) that had outside writers on it. I am not going to yell and scream about outsiders ruining the band, because these sisters will not be forced into doing something against their better judgement. This is a severe departure from what they have put their name to previously, so it is evident they are experimenting or searching for a challenge perhaps. This isn’t something I would pay money for, as its not to my taste, but the video is flying up on a million views so others seem to be digging it.
