    Welcome back to Dan vs Food! In today’s vlog I’m taking you all on a hotel tour of Vientiane centre. I visit 2*, 4* & 5* hotels & show you what you can get for your money in these current times. All the rooms I looked at were acceptable. Some basic single bed, double bed, twins all the way up to exceptional deluxes & premiere suites, which were simply amazing!
    Salana Boutique were kind enough to offer me a free complimentary stay in one of their best suites! I want to say a huge thank you & I literally can't wait to stay there & experience a day & night at your hotel :)
    Unfortunately the Presidential Suite in one of the hotels was already reserved by a VIP, so I didn't have the chance to vlog & show you. I'll save this for next time!
    I made this video primarily for anyone that is thinking of visiting Laos after travel restrictions ease due to the pandemic, & just people generally interested in Laos.
    So, I really hope you enjoy my vlog today. Leave any comments or questions for me below!
    Have an awesome day!

    Thanks for sharing Dan! I think Salana would be the pick for me due to its location and just nice all around. I don’t mind there’s no swimming pool. I hope to visit Laos after all the craziness is over. I was there before the craziness happened actually back in the fall of 2019. Keep up the good work mate!!! Cheers!!

      My pleasure Thomas581. Yeah, Salana looks great doesn't it. I hope you can visit too, after all this mayhem. Thanks for watching 😊

      Salana is right in the smack of everything...however, it is next to two temples so if you do not mind the monks banging on the gong and praying at 4:30 AM each morning, you are in business.

    Really enjoyed this video! We went by Salana countless times and never went inside. When we can come back to Laos, we'll have to stop in for a drink. Way above our budget to stay there, but loved seeing the rooms and lovely lobby. It was so great to see some of the familiar streets in Vientiane center. Thank you for sharing!

    My Lao friend used to work at the front door of the Salana...often wondered what it looked like inside...I used to drop by at the weekends to say hello while I was drinking in the bars around the city...memories!

    Salana Boutique.......I wouldn't have to think twice about that. That room looks epic with the amzing TV and the unusal feature of two balonies with two completely different views. I bet you can't wait to shut the door and jump on that bed........haha. 👍👍😊😊

    Hi Dan, since today I'm looking your vlogs about Vientiane coz soon..(when covid-19 allows us).. I wish to travel around South east Asia. Your vlogs are very informative, thanks for that. Can you make also, perhaps, a vlog about renting houses in or around that area... if there are houses for rent ofcourse for short and long term. Thanks in advance.

      I was thinking about making a video about this soon. I've already made one about serviced apartments, but not houses. But I'll try. Thanks for watching Henri 😊👍

    My last visit to Laos 2 years ago I stayed in Mixoc...I like it there sitting outside drinking beer lao but so so noisy...they ripped me off with my bus ticket to Bangkok as well...I wouldn't advise staying there!

    • @DanvsFood
      @DanvsFood  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drinking beer 🍺 sounds good, being ripped off not so much.

    Enjoying your videos Dan. I don't remember in which of your videos you were talking about your motorbike that you rented. Could you be so kind as to tell me what shop you rented it from? 1 million for a month is a great price and I want to explore more of Vientiane without having to walk or using tuk tuks all the time.

    • @DanvsFood
      @DanvsFood  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, I made a mistake about the price, sorry. I paid 40,000 kip per day. The place is called TL motorbike for rent.
      Thanks for watching my videos Mr T ☺️

      On my stay in Vientiane I stayed 3 months at the ibis and 3 months at xaisonboon and 3 weeks in Luang Prabang I know I should have traveled more. I stayed longer as I had a few opportunities to fly back but ignored them.
