I grew up in American Samoa and when I left the island, I noticed that people off-island would put everything that had to do with Polynesian culture in a box and generalized it as "Hawaiian". Thank you for taking your time to learn the difference.

I was a Hawaiian dancer for 10 years and we used lava rocks in some of our dances. It's a beautiful culture! I am loving this series.
