- We are RVing for a different reason than exploring the USA. We share where we went, but more over WHY we chose to come HERE and what makes this stop of traveling...different.
😋 Charity's Grandmas Cinnamon Roll Recipe 😋
2 cups hot water
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Shortening
3 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 teaspoon sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
7-8 cups flour
Mix in the first 4 ingredients, and cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water and sugar. Stir into the first mixture.
Add eggs and 4 cups flour. Beath thoroghly. Sir in 3-4 more cups flour. DO NOT KNEAD. Cover and leave in the refrigerator overnight or until ready to use. Shape rolls. Double in bulk - 1/2 hour to 1 hour. Bkar at 375 for about 20 minutes or until brown.
My grandma adds cinnamon and sugar when rolling out and cutting into cinnamon rolls. She also uses orange juice in the icing.

Live in Omaha. Took my daughter many times. Would go about 4 pm. Can stay till dark. Inside exhibits close @ 5 pm. We would eat a peanut butter sandwich with the seals. Good memories.

I remember going to the zoo as a child in the late 70's. We had zoo keys and it is still a strong childhood memory. There was another place that may or may not be around is Fontanelle (sp?) Forest, where you do Halloween trail walks. Those were some of the best years

That happened to us, we had a broken main belt, the air conditioner compressor froze up, and radiator flushed, $2000 repair, ( thankful for warranty) and Bruckner Trucking.
Oh man, that wouldn't have been a good or fun day at all.
So great you got to spend time with your Grandma! This video brought so many memories for me. Born, raised, lived most of my life in Lincoln til started full timing. Used to go to Henry Doorly all the time and this was before all the cool things were added. I remember when the Rainforest was added we thought it was so awesome and man look at the zoo now! Definitely can’t go wrong with Casey’s pizza or Runza. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the ride 😎

Showing your dog basically off leash (leash Attatched but no one holding it) really wasn’t a good idea . . Just saying from those of us who’ve had serious issues with folks who seem to think leash laws don’t apply to them & who have had unleashed dogs charge/attack our leashed dogs in campgrounds . . Was not a good move no matter how old or well mannered your dog; sends wrong message!! ;-)
