I just binge watched all 6 episodes. Can't wait for the next one. What is your ultimate goal with truck just fun in sun or overlanding? Keep up the great vids!! Loving the content!!!
It's just for fun really. Want to get everything mechanically good first, then add the fun stuff. This truck was really neglected for a while & more stuff keeps popping up as I move along but nothing real major so far. Should have a new one up soon. Thanks for watching!
do believe you can use the same handle you used for the window crank to replace the door opener. One can just not install the knob to mark the difference.
Hi Colt if this Protection Valve is not functioning correctly the CTIS, fan clutch, air bags won't work and there is no air getting to these items when wet tank is greater than 85lbs. Will that cause the fan to spin all the time or will the fan not spin when the truck runs and calls for the fan to engage. I need to test mine out.
Serviceability & noise. To service it, you remove 4 bolts, remove cover, 1/4 turn canister off, then reverse. The stock one is a HUGE pain in the rear! Watch this video on how the stock unit is serviced & you will see what I mean. th-cam.com/video/UNPyMUupumo/w-d-xo.html
Your volume is extremely low on this episode for some reason....?? Thank you for the part numbers. I am surprised your truck had dual parking brake valves...Most of the trucks of that year have the all in one tractor brake setup...
Thanks for the helpful video. I know it takes a lot of time to produce these. Please know "the non-mechanic" owners appreciate the effort!
I appreciate the feedback. I've just learned along the way. Everyone else can too, with a little video help!

That's a nice big video of improvements... good work!
One step at a time. Tires & CTIS next. 😁

I'm looking into other options for the door opener now. I have tried one option with no luck.
Well done.
Thank you!

If the protection valve is not opening, your fan will be engaged all the time. Air needs to go to it to disengage the clutch.
What is the advantage of replacing the air dryer over the stock unit.?

I'm not sure what happened on the volume. Maybe something with the format.
I would black out behind the grill. It will look better.
I'm not sure I even like the grill black. May go back to tan. 😁
By the time you get done it will be a new truck.
It has come a long way, that's for sure.
