  • Karlsruhe / Germany is the second largest city in the state of Baden-Württemberg after Stuttgart. With a large student population the city has a vibrant atmosphere. There are relatively few tourist sights however, though Karlsruhe is still a nice place for a walk as we visit Karlsruhe regularly.

This must be an older vid because of the construction works and the train is now under the ground now.
Karlsruhe is a beautiful young city located on the Rhine river and central to Rheinland Pfalz French border. In each direction you are fast to another beautiful city.

Happy, you like it. Karlsruhe was often my base when traveling around the area there. I recorded a few videos over the years: th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=poptravel+karslruhe

Puh that brings back bad memories. Lived 3 years in Baden-Württemberg. But the towns there are just so fake in my opinion. They look nice on pictures but they have no good atmosphere for living. Almost no parks or nature in reach without driving by car, sterile city planning without soul. People are a bit like that, too: friendly on the outside but behind that facade they're very cold, calculating and always thinking on their own advantage. I'm so glad to be home again and will never go there again.

Oh, sorry to hear that, maybe you met the wrong people. I know Germans in this area can be cold and self centered, but there are others too, like everywhere :). I agree though, there are definitely more beautiful places to live in.

😂 no parks or nature?... there is a HUGE forest next to the Schloss ...there are parks... the biggest one is the Schlossgarten. I used to ride my bike at least 10 km daily crosing that forest... there are many lakes around to swimm in the summer. Also, KA is a planned city... it is a radial city and it was one of the first planned cities in Germany... (ca. 300 years ago) thats why all the main streets start from the Schloss. You lived in BW 3 years.... but did you lived in KA? I am sorry for your bad experience in BW, in mine 5 years in KA I think is a nice city. It is a student city full of young and diverse people, nice history (remarkable inventors and chemist came from KA like Benz and Haber), friendly with bikes and with great connectivity❤.
