- The Bavarian town of Regensburg is one of Germany's oldest towns, founded by the Romans in 179 A.D.. Regensburg has a well preserved old town which is UNESCO World Heritage site since 2006 which we visit sometimes here on POPtravel.
On this summer afternoon we our tour starts at the Thurn & Taxis castle. We explore the old town of Regensburg afterwards where we see sights like the Medieval town hall with Baroque & Gothic elements. The Regensburg's St. Peter's Cathedral is also not to be missed.
This time we cross the Danube river, pass the Stadt am Hof towards the Steinweg-Pfaffenstein district where we walk up the hill. There at the Dreifaltigkeitskirche we have a nice view over Regensburg and end our walking tour.

Absolut atemberaubend, besonders die Kirche. Ich plane, 2024 nach Deutschland zu reisen, und ich denke, die Basilika St. Emmeram wird jetzt auf meiner „Must Visit“-Liste stehen.

why is nobody showing the SCHOTTEN KIRCHE with it, s beautiful ' PORTAL' it was so protected during WWII. IHAVE left my hometown a long time ago but the HEIMWEH is still indescribable
I did a few Regensburg walks ( th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=poptravel+regensburg ) but I may have really missed it. Next time I get to visit Regensburg I'll see to go to the Schottenkirche

Shoot! You missed going down into the Romanesque crypt of St. Emmerams. It's AMAZING! You were SO close.
It's quiet usual that I miss a few sights along the way. These videos more give an impression of places apart from sights where the audio is having a higher priority. I'll see when I get back to Regensburg as it's one of my favorites in Germany and then find a different route. There are a total of 6 Regensburg walks so far on the channel - more than 120 of Germany and 500+ total
@@poptravelorg Amazing! It's probably my favourite over all (in Germany). I've been there 5x and going back again in August. Just came back from one of my other favourites: Ghent, Belgium.

In der Tat bieb ich 2020 und '21 jeweils mehrere Tage in Regensburg. Von da aus machte ich dann Tagestouren und kam bis Rothenburg ob der Tauber / Würzburg / Schweinfurt an einem Tag. Von Regensburg gibt's derzeit 6 Videos. Dieses Jahr kam ich nicht dahin. Hoffentlich klappt es nächsten Sommer mal wieder mit einem Besuch

OK, danke für den Hinweis. Ich laufe gern schnell aber höre solch einen Kommentar über zu schnelles Gehen - manchmal aber gefällt es auch einigen, weil es schon viele langsame Spaziervideos auf anderen Kanälen gibt. Ich werde wohl irgendwann mal die schönsten Orte mal in halber Geschwindigkeit zusammenschneiden aber zunächst ist das offene Thema "Untertitel" auf meinem Plan. Danke, für's Zusehen
